Juandre_N - I agree with Julz, that doing research and also ensuring that you know and have faith in your body can assist.
The fact that you have a doctor that is willing to work with you is great.
With my second pregnancy I opted to do a VBAC, but met quite a bit of resistance. I really felt like it was me against the world. In the end, I was too sick to do much, and I could not attempt a VBAC.
But my understanding is your doctor will look at the reason for the first c-section.
They will not allow any induction.
They will allow a certain period for the labour to progress, and if labour has not moved at this pre-determined rate they will intervene.
They will request that your labour is done at the hospital, and you do not stay home for any part of it - they want to ensure everything is monitored.
If I was strong enough I would commit to it, but ensure my birth experience is with staff who support and encourage my point of view.
I think the thing you need to do is commit to it, as there will be a lot of objection and even your doctor will continually warn you that there are risks involved - which I think when you are very hormonal and emotional, you sort of hear as being a high risk situation.
Good luck - there are tons of stories on the internet of women who have gone through VBAC's. Read, read and read.
