I agree with sonay, most C sec are done in 38 weeks.

for natural they wait right till the end, like 40 weeks, then if nothing after your date, then they will induce

i had a friend who was gonna be 40 weeks and nothing happened, so night before she was told to come in on due date to be induced, and her labour was for hours

so i think get a second opinion as well, unless medical reasons, if you or the baby is in danger then do the C...but otherwise I think wait for 40 weeks.

Ntoko, think it is normal, as long as there is no funny smells and itching. I feel like I'm leaking everywhere. Milk after a bath or shower, and pantyliners has become my best friends this last couple of months.

Mom2b, inducing at 38 weeks seems to be a bit early. That is the time most gynae will do planned C-sections, since chances of mom going into spontaneous labour is still fairly slim. In my opinion you should tell your doc to wait till at least 40 weeks. If all is well, and nothing happened by then, or even as late as 41 weeks, then they normally induce. This is just my understanding of things. Maybe phone around to get a second opinion. Holding thumbs for you that all goes according to plan and that you have a natural and easy birth experience.

The new moomies must be very busy with their babas, enjoy every minute with them. But please pop in every now and then to tell us how things are going.

Mama-m i'm very curious to know about the pain after c-sec, is it really as bad as people make it out to be? they say its difficult to breast feed etc etc.....

ok so i need advise. today i officially hit the 38 week mark.
i had a docs appt on saturday but didnt make it cause hubby had to work, re scheduled for this week. doc mentioned at my last visit that by 38 weeks if nothing happens, he induces... whats your opinions on this????????????????????? i really want to try for normal but was told by many women that when they induce it usually ends up c sec cause it all happens too fast.

so if nothing happens by sat, i think his going to want to induce me next week, would it be a wise move? DH and i said we want every thing to happen naturaly but at the rate i'm going i feel like i've been preg for ages and want out now...................... PLEASE HELP

Ntoko, Meekah mentioned a similar discharge a day or 2 before she gave birth, maybe its time for your little bundle of joy to make his or her grand entrance

Ladies does any of you get a milky, wetish discharge at this stage? Is it normal? Im getting it but its not too much but it wets my underwear.

so saturday your hubby has to go fetch it and then you have to wash and then put on the stuff ?

thats hectic with a new born. she wont even deliver, yet its her mistake and service is bad. the compactum box she gave us that was wrong color. I am not going to fetch, baby will be born, knowing her she might take another 8 weeks then, but I am not collecting the third time, she is too far and its her stupidity, she will deliver that.....

I cannot believe, ginah, you gonna have your baba in two days time, you must be so excited, thats the thing with C sec, you just know and its planned. have to play the waiting game

dont mind though, I have time, she must just hang in there for another 4 weeks

done with the last antental class last night too, that was hectic for 5 mondays at night. really tiring to sit for two hours. rather restless

Oh Sher Tanja is another story, I told her that if my stuff is not ready by Saturday she can cancel my order coz I am having my baby on Thursday.
