Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

Hi mommies

Well my little guy has a tummy bug, we went to the paed on tuesday and he has gastro, apparently its going round. He has also been pooing and pooing and pooing since Sat night. We are giving him reuteri drops and paed gave me a script for other probiotics, one sachet a day for 5 days. He has had 3 sachets already but still no improvement that I can see. I guess these things take time to come out their systems.
But to top it off he also has a cold, going on almost 2 weeks now, and its turned into a cough. But paed checked and there's no infection so I've just got a cough mixture to give him and we're using the humidifier and carvol drops on his bedding at night. He's very snotty and struggling to breathe through his nose sometimes.

Its so heartsore for me to see him feeling so unhappy and I'm trying everything but he's still not well. Poor bean

Johnny is a cautious boy and is taking things at his own pace. He can sit on his own now, since about 5.5 months and he has his 2 bottom teeth. When he's lying on his back he flips himself over almost on his tummy but not quite, and he lifts his bum in the air sometimes but doesn't seem to know why he's doing it. Otherwise no signs of crawling, he doesn't move around yet.

Shame Sher, I pray all goes well for your sister and her baby. I've heard it can be very serious when that happens. So sad that she can't hold her baby, what about that Kangaroo Care - when moms hold babies on their chests close to them and they improve dramatically? Maybe the doctor is worried about infection but still. Well at least you can give your sister lots of support when you're in Durbs. Hope you have some fun too, its always nice to go away and get away from the Big Smoke

I better run, got lots of work and John is sleeping for now so need to get as much done while he is sleeping as possible. Hope you ladies have a fabulous weekend!

Kiara has more teeth coming up I think. she is still pooing alot and its 8 days today, geez when does it stop

shame man, cant be nice for them. reuteri drops helps to put all the good back in her and I believe the tuummy needs to work to get all the much out but when does it stop.... paed said she might be having more teeth come out eish......

we have our next paed app next week. so lets see what happens

shame my sister had her first baba yest at 16:20. 3.6kg but swolled miconium and she held her for few mins and was taken away to ICU. hectic that you cant bond and touch your own baby. she is only allowed to see her today but only through the glass. she cant even feed her only baby. being fed through tubes

my heart goes out to her, might only come out of ICU worse case in 4 days time.....

well off to go to durbs this wkend, might not get to see baby if does not come out of ICU, only her parents can her...

Yes the probiotics really help alot for the runny tummy, im using the reuteri drops at the moment.

They say that when they show an interest in food that its also a sign that they are ready to eat, she wanted our food at 3 months already, then at christmas dinner i just couldnt say no anymore and gave her some. She likes veg like patty pans, baby marrows, squash etc but doesnt like sweet stuff so most fruits are a no no. We are taking it slowly and not rushing her.

So glad to c my one not the only one that wants to grow up to fast

glad all is well with your baba...

Kiara is only 5 months and she too, the other day just crawled to her other chair we bought, its rocks etc, its high for her this age and she put both hands on it and tried to stand up

cannot believe babies today are just doing things so quickly

I want her to slow down, i love this age

shame she never had any symptom when she was cutting her first tooth. yest though she had a runny tummy 4 times including last night.

I think its cause of her tooth thats out already. no vomiting and drinking her milk as usual.

will go get her some prioboitic drops

my little one is not on solids yet, my paed believes babies must only go on solids at 6 months...so I have to wait
