Mommys to be in SEPTEMBER 2010

Meekah - I wanted to take my ML 1st Sept and atleast have 2 weeks at home before birth. And im planning on taking the whole 4 months - unpaid and only come to work Jan next year.

But now i also want to get a salary for Sept, so was thinking of working until the 10 th Sept and then take my leave days before going on ML?? I dont know if it will work though.

My date did change already to the 10/09 but judging from my first pg I'd rather stick with my original EDD as per my LMP.

Seems like more and more of us are getting decided on names...
we have too many to decide on so DH and I said when we see our precious LG we will know what her name should be ....which is ok with me
Mama M - that is a really short time to be with baby at home?
I wanted to know when you guys are going on maternity leave or planning to take it and for how long??

Thanks Huggles-Da thng is iv bn offerd a job n hv 2 start on 1/07, lo is only due 05/09, so i ws thnkin of askin dm if i cn start on da 1st of october. So i ws thnkin dat if i hv my baby early it wil gv me a chance 2 spend sum tym wit him b4 i start work(2mnths)... Bt dn again il ask my Dr if it wil b posible.

Mama M why would you want to induce your labour at 36 weeks? There's a very very strong chance if you did that that you would land up havinga c-section as induction only actually works when the body is ready to give birth anyway - if done too early it doesn't work. But most gynae's won't even do c-sections before 38 weeks unless there is a problem with the pregnancy that puts baby at risk of staying in until then. 36 weeks is quite early and I really wouldn't recommend inducing then.

Morning ladies,

We got our cot this Saturday (my parents bought it for us - but we chose it). Put it up saturday evening. The baby room is slowly but surely starting to look like a baby room and not a general junk room which is really quite exciting.

We also set up the baby shower gift registry box at Baby Boom (i started it Friday after work and then DH came with and we finished it saturday morning). It was such fun choosing all the stuff. We are going to do one at Baby City also but they are so strict about only doing it 3 weeks before the shower so i have to wait until probably 12 June before we do that box.

We started our antenatal classes last Wed - was great fun. Going again every Wed this month. I also get a free aqua-aerobics session as part of the antenatal deal so going tomorrow night for that - a bit nervous but also excited.

And my mom took me maternity clothes shopping on Saturday so got some nice new clothes as well - only one pair maternity pants and one maternity top, but then 3 other nice jerseys from Ackermans that work really well and a nice long cardigan type jersey as well. So basically almost an entire new wardrobe!

Forgot 2 ask, at how may weeks can ones labor b induced? Im thnk of inducin myn at 36wks, is it safe?
