It meant that they wheeled me into the theatre feeling fine and then they basically stripped me to attach al the hart monitors and catheters and needles.. The lights are bright and horrible and entry kept telling my hubby to move in and console me- we were both freaked out! I will finish it now but will have to do it in installments when time allows. So as you know we managed to keep little Jenna put until csection booked date which was 21st dec. we checked in at 06h00 and had some idiot nurses check me in which made me worry ! It was a freelance nurse working to help a nervous nurse and so the nervous nurse kept telling the freelancer to do everything and this freelancer nurse looked so confused! They nearly documented my BP as 20 points higher than it was and I had to. Orrect them! Luckily for me , heir shift ended an hour later and so they handed over! Next hurdle was that I was expecting all to be as per last smooth csec and when the an atheist arrived, he didn't want to do the epidural, he wanted to do the spinal block...sa honestly I felt that so many a people with spinal blocks had negative experiences and so I told him he had to convince me! He did! Two things convinced me, he said only some anaethetists o
ALWAYS do an EPI because the tiny space to put the big needle in is so close to the spinal column that there is rom for error ~ Freak ! So he implied that he was was nervous to do it! And then he also said that this put ythie spinal block in inside the theatre coz it works so much faster so they don't need to do it in the rooms half an hour before and then also that it's wears off faster... So I told him to go ahead! But I didn't think what this would mean..

Hope you enjoyed your christmas. Lots of special Christmas arrivals and they are so sweet. Congrats again Simone and Mandy. Zee and Christi, hope your two angels are also doing well.

We enjoyed our Christmas. Dylan was spoilt and so was mommy which was nice. Dylan really enjoyed Santa on Christmas eve and then a nice picnic on Christmas day.


I am on leave already which is nice. Took Dylan out today to play and Neil joins us next week so we will do a few things around cape town.

Going back to work in an office is finally causing a bit of stress to be honest. I prefer it but am a bit worried about traffic! Will miss the freedom alot.

A friend of ours is very ill in hospital. We are hoping he will pull through and today he seems a bit better. Really sad for his family who are like family to us. Not nice to spend Christmas visiting your loved one.

Anyway. Got to do some housework as the maid is away. Actually did the ironing last night.

Not too much to report from my side. Had a decent enough christmas weekend, always nice having immediate family around.
Shrey is well, aside for his complete loss of appetite. Dewormed this weekend and still no improvement Really very frustrated as smallish kids can't really afford to not eat. Going to stop for the Pediasure this evening in the hope that it will at least boost his appetite. And hoping that it is just festive season excitement ruining his appetite.
Other than that he is looking forward to school and enjoying having his cousin around for the holiday.
Anyway ladies have a brilliant new year celebration and will probably only chat here again in January

Can't believe Christmas is nearly here. Dylan still been so good about leaving the presents alone. He is actually quite a sweet kid and loving this age. Looking forward to our break together as a family after new year.
