Happy New Year!
Hello ladies, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, wishing you all the very best for the year ahead
We had a great Christmas with dad, was heart breaking to say goodbye, I have no idea when he'll be back again, hopefully soon! My dad isn't old by any means but he's only a few years from retirement age and although he has no intention of retiring yet its scary to think of him getting old. He's very well, it was a bit of a shock to see the shakey arm that he told me about (I'm sure I told you he was diagnosed with Parkinsons late last year) as it literally does shake all the time but otherwise he is absolutely like normal. Its a little frightening to think what the future might hold as for if and how and how fast the disease develops but I think its under control for now but I know he's scared - I'm scared for him.
I had a look to see if there was anyway we could afford for me and the kids to fly out to England maybe mid year (if I fly before Nina turns 2 then she's still classed as an infant so cheaper) but the tickets have gotten so expensive (or should I say the tax - that tax is more than the flight!) so I think I'll just have to keep dreaming for now hehe.
The kiddies are well, Oliver is Mr Sensitive but he's great, we have finally got him pooing on the toilet (after over a YEAR of being potty trained!!!) which is massive progress. It ultimately came down to a battle of wills (he'd held it in for 5 days!!!) and I won, finally! But he is extremely private which is I think what the problem might've been, he goes to the bathroom, closes the door and has his poo in total privacy, he even wipes his bum himself (and makes a pretty good job of it too although he uses like a half a roll of toilet paper lol!) and gets upset if I come in too soon

I am super happy about that. We tried to get rid of the night time nappy but he's just not ready for it yet, we had a lot of wet beds but then he refused to wear a nappy because he's a 'big boy' so it was a bit of disaster for a while but then I've managed to persuade him to wear Pull Ups at night and he's happy with that so hopefully he'll be off the ngiht time nappy in the not too distant future.
Nina is total mischief, she's certainly making up for Oliver being so easy! She's permanently into everything she shouldn't be. This child has no fear, she jumps into the pool and dunks under the water with no fuss, she's climbing all over the furniture and trying to climb out the windows (eish) and is just generally trouble lol. She has quite a few words and is learning more every day. The biggest problem I have with her though is that she keeps biting Oliver, and she bites him hard, she's even drawn blood naughty girl!!! She seems to only do it when she's tired or frustrated so I'm trying to keep on top of it, not very nice though. She's not walking yet, she's been walking holding hands for weeks but she point blank refuses to take a step alone, stubborn little thing. I have no idea who she gets that from
Anyways, i shall try a quick catch up:-

Yoza - Congratulations on making developments with Siba, I'm so glad he's doing well and that you are seeing results. When done you for being so commited to him

Super jealous of the new car hehe
Lisha - I'm glad Shreyan is settling at school, he will be just fine after a few weeks
Angelique - I'm sorry about the PCOS. I also have it, I was told at 19 that I'd need help having kids but I was lucky enough to have both of mine without any intervention so I'm sure now that you have a diagnosis things will start looking brighter
Julz - hope all is going well with the new job.
And I'm sorry I have to cut it short, Nina's just woken up
