Hi everyone

How can it be Sunday already? We should have three day weekends ...

Lwasi, so nice to hear from you again. Glad that your little boy is doing so well. Good luck with all the arrangements.

Yoza, it's wonderful that Siba's teacher is so happy with his progress. I'm sure he is going to continue impressing you all!

Simone, Josh sounds so sweet! You are so lucky that Addy has adapted so well. It is a struggle with Z. She begs, she even prays, she fakes an illness all not to go to school ...
I just hope it goes better this week.

Nelria, are you back yet?

Julz, so glad its going well at your new job! It is hectic to do all the house work at night. I wish i had someone!

Mandy, how's it going at home?

Nicole, glad that K is doing so well at school.

Lisha, hope Shrey will also enjoy school more this week!

Okay, got to go. Hope you all have brilliant weeks!

Hi Lwasi; It is so good to hear from you. Thank you for the update and congratulation on your developments. Praise be my dear for I know that this is something you have always wanted. All the best in DC. Dont you want me to be your nanny hehehehehehe.

Amu has grown so much and such exciting times that lie for him ahead. Ohh lady so envious about potty training.

Simone: Aaah kids are very smart I am sure addy sees what the lady does for her and quickly thinks of cynthia back home. By your updates you are having it easy honey I hope lil man keeps it up.

Julz: So glad things are going well at work for you. Did you manage ladies night after being kicked out I had such a good laugh

Ally: I definately hear your concern regarding language and its such a big issue when taking the finance factor into consideration and how pricey schools are one thinks twice hope you sort it out and that you guys are as right as rain.

AFM: we had our first school meeting at siba's school oh guys its so sad the extent of special needs kids you just want to cry but siba's teacher is happy with how he is progressing

Hi mommies,

Compliments of the new yr, just wanted to drop in and say hi. Im stil in SA only leaving in March the 29, got post poned again in Dec cos the lady i was gonna replace was gonna give birth in Nov/Dec and because she lost a baby previously so my Dept decided let her giv birthin DC then I would come 3 months later, which as a woman and mom I understood perfectly. Not that its fair on me but what can I say. Besides i cant go anywhere else due to Amo's shunt, so DC it is for me.

Amo is doing so well, he was in an english/afr school last yr and he picked up both language very nicely. I took him back home this yr and he is not attending school, I decided that since im going to be running around at work with preparations, having him around will be difficult for me since i dont have a car, so he will be better of with my granny at home. Also that since we are leaving in March taking him to school will be like a waste of money since he wont attend the whole of march and wasnt going to attend the whole of January either.

He went off the nappy last yr on his birthday his teacher said that we should go cold turkey on him with the nappies and we stoped them not even a night nappy. We only had 2 night accidents when we started and a few daily ones with pee, and for the poo it took two more week to be ok and be able to tell when he needs to go. so in three weeks we were potty trained, the only snag is that he still calls whomever is available to take them to the loo just to be there, he gets on the big toilet and gets off, i wipe him take his clothes off himself and puts them on...

Im excited about going hope it goes according to plan, we have our visas already, myself and Amo then im getting one for my helper on Thursday. Well thats just about it mommies let try to reply

Hi ladies

Sorry I won't have time for personals...I've logged in so many times on pc and then need to do something and just don't get back to pc!

So Josh is 1 month old tomorrow! I can't believe it. He is such a sweet child...feisty though when he wants to drink...which is all the time!!! I'm breastfeeding which is exhausting! We have a 11am-2pm session where I can't do anything...he feeds on and off for those 3hrs!! I ddont wanna complain too much as he is a good sleeper at night (though I've probably just jinxed myself now!) Doing 5hrs and then 3hr stretch:) he smiles and coos...melts my heart!

Addison is besotted with him. Also she loves playschool and we have not had one day of tears! Though she wakes up very tired and then says 'I don't wanna go', but it doesn't last long luckily.

Addy tells me: Lina gives me food at school. She wears a blue dress. She's just like Cynthia.

I just burst out laughing cause I'm not sure what she is referring too...cleaning up or her skin colour. But I thought it was so funny how these kids put things together.

Nelria, he completely understands Afrikaans..or most of it anyway but he just doesn't speak it. But it's a good idea for us all to speak more Afrikaans to him. He also understood no afr when we first met him.

Juls, he's not British English, just joburg English... :) the thing is that they have grown up mostly English but like I said, the only great English schools are so expensive and we can't afford like 30k a year per child, and that's the cheapest of the English schools. The afr schools here are like private schools so just a better option. I'm also worried that if they go to English primary schools they wont ever get to know Afrikaans that well. English will also be learned. Ecause it's a must but Afrikaans isn't. And I want the to beagle to speak to my family in afr. Butid like them to go to English high schools.

Hello Strangers

Been getting updates via email so have read all the posts.

New job is going really well. Am soo busy mainly because the books haven't been done properly for a couple years. Just the basics so tons to do but enjoying it and pleased that after a break of a year from doing books, it seems I have not become rusty at all. Work with a fabulous bunch of people. A lovely lady who does the basics and hasn't taken offence with me starting. You know how it can be with some people. I think she is only too happy to have someone besides the boss to ask about certain things.

So I am playing catch up and then will be putting starting their manufacturing system etc. Won't be too crazy busy once things are set up. Traffic not toooo bad.

Actually like being back in an office. It always felt as if my boss was in my home. I can go home and switch off now. Just have no more maid so got to work and come home and do housework too and in the present heatwave it is not funny at all.

Feel so sad for Done with her dad being in hospital. I think it is her dad.

Lisha Shrey will settle down and be loving it in no time at all.

Yoza lucky regarding the new car.

I seriously have hit a blank.
