Ankia, good luck hope William will adjust well when the baby comes and that you'll find the perfect place for him. I know I'm very fortunate to have two grannies around who are just too keen to look after my LG. I also think I'm going to buy one of those newborn dolls for her when the baby comes ...

Ange, hope your dad recovers soon xxx

Okay, now I'm off, going to stare at my medicine cabinet, wishing that I could take a couple of strong ones!

Nicole, shame hope K gets better with undressing.

Simone, had to laugh at Addy and the shoes. Z recently started saying: Hy praat k... or even They sing k... Terrible! and ja, it is probably my fault. I try to give her other words in stead: Like no Ziani rather use - Hulle praat nonsens, etc ...

Lisha, good luck with the last few days. Almost time!

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing well. Z is doing better but still not eating and what a mission to get the medicine in! It's a battle. Now, I've also caught the bug and I'm feeling quite dreadful. I'm also writing exams on Friday and surprise surprive no book has been opened.

Any hoo, Helen and Yoza, I think your kids are very clever with the puzzles. I firmly believe that we all have different types of intelligence. We also did a feature on it earlier this year, you know the different types: linguistic, spatial, logical and mathematical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, etc .... I for once could read from a very young age but I'm lost with maths! I think we should really encourage them in the field where they excell while obviously not neglecting the other parts.

Mandy, I'm also struggling with a little tyrant at home and I'm also not sure how to handle it. I got a slap and a kick yesterday and was totally shocked. Hope the phase passes soon ...

Julz, hope you and Dylan are both better.

Vix, glad C is doing better and hope you feel better soon!

Simone, yay that everything is looking well and hope you find a great gynae.

Ally, glad you survived the first day, good luck with tomorrow!

Helen; Siba sometimes says hello and as for when and why I have no idea I know ehn I say kiss kis he hold me and give me a kiss. Piwe tells me at school he will wave good bye.

I must be honest at some point I honestly thought that there was something wrong with him but i realise he is delayed with all of his milestones but I keep on telling myself that Eintseein had delayed speech and many more people and they are fine.

On the light side buhle mimmicks siba sounds when talking its so funny.

Ally: Good luck with gym ive been slacking.

Simone: You must be feeling so good after the scan how did it feel the emotions.

mandy: im sure its a phase that cam is going through and it will all pas just keep on being stern with him and he will be right.

Afternoon :)

Simone - So pleased everything went well with your scan, so cute that you could see the arms moving, its amazing how quickly they start to look like little people.

Nicole - Weird with K and his top maybe something happened to frighten him, Oliver is like Dylan and hates it if its too tight, I find Woolies stuff is often too tight round his head and he always fusses getting them on and off cos it gets caught by his ears lol.

Julz - I really hope you start to feel better soon my friend, it must be exhausting feeling so rough for such a long time.

Yoza - Have you had any luck looking for a new school for Siba? Its interesting to hear he's good with puzzles as well, I think it might be something to do with them having to develop different parts of their brain because they can't communicate as well verbally like their peers? Oliver uses a lot of sign language, for eg when he does the puzzle/game thing I was talking about he mimcs actions as he's doing it, holding a phone up to his ear for the girl that's missing a telephone and making a sawing action for the man sawing etc etc. I think maybe because they can't talk they have to rely on other ways to communicate so their skill in this area is perhaps more advanced...? And yes, man alive the delayed speech is frustrating for all parties. Its even worse when we go out because Oliver is so tall and big everyone thinks he's much older than he is so they ask his name or say hello and he can't respond. My poor boy can't even say hello yet, he's only just mastered 'bye bye'. Theo often finds it difficult to understand what Oliver is asking for or trying to tell him. I'm the only one that speaks 'Oliver' as a second language ;) I know I've been talking about it for a while but I think its time I commit to having his speech assessed, it must be holding him back in so many ways.

Ally - How did your training session go? I hope it works for you and that you enjoy it as well. It must be very interesting to see how different Aiden and Abigail develop, we all know how differently men and women think and it must be interesting to see it from such a young age.

Vix - Hope you feel better soon hon and really keeping FX that your tweenies don't catch the bug!!

Lisha - Speaking of SARS, Dh got an email from 'SARS' saying he was due a tax refund, when he clicked on the link they only wanted his credit card details and PIN!! Its easy to see why so many people fall for these scams, it all looks very official but I knew as soon as it asked for a PIN that it was a scam. Damn shame, would've been nice to have some extra money lol. Hope you won the battle with SARS ;)

Nearly hometime for me, going to wrap up super warm, they've been saying on the radio that the temperature is expected to drop to as low as +1deg in Joburg tonight BRRRRRRR! nearly time to get the heaters out...

Ang hows your dad, im terribly sorry that he is not well!

Ankia - yip its great to have so many opinions here.. William will be in good hands now that you have so many ideas!! One of my firends also mentioned that they think they could have talked to their child more about the baby coming out of their stomach and how he will be able to help you with him and where the baby will sleep and things like that.. I know Vix also got a boy doll for Christopher, did that help at all Vix in retrospect?

Simone - as I wrote on the newly preg thread - I was SOOOOO excited to read your post so that I could imagine whats gonna happen at my scan! SO SO pleased all is going well and sorry about all the extra costs.. Luckily they KNOW how to care for you and baby with your endocrine system, miles ahead of the problems that moms and babies used to experience now!

Julz and Vix - sorry you two are so under the weather! Vix, ouch ROTOVIRUS!, although one of the BAD virus'es you have clearly handled it really well! Luckily with the amount that Christopher drinks you were able to keep him hydrated, Cam doesnt drink that much so I am sure it would be a bit of a battle when he is unwell!

Nicole P - it also sounds to me like someone hurt K.. Best you can do is be sensitive to him, perhaps open the neck wide and start playing peekaboo and help it to POP over his head really quick! and then clap that he did it so well! hope it passes! :) SHAME

Ally - how was Gym?? did you cope?

yuk! Lisha the last 11 day slog!! hope it goes in a flash! VERRRY JEALOUS!! :)
