HI ladies,

Helen, Oliver is super smart! Geez!

We've bought the twins this machine game thing. It looks like a big phone with numbers 1-0 and each number has an animal on it. When you switch it on it makes the sound the animal makes and then you need to press the button the animal is on. Abi can now do all the sounds and her memory is quite good because the other day Aidan interrupted her game and a dog barked, she left it for 2 minutes and then came back, pressed the dog and carried on. I was quite surprised. I've noticed that she is much faster than Aidan to grasp concepts etc. but Aidan notices detail so much more than she does. I read Goldilocks for them and with the broken chair, Abi will just say it's a broken chair, Aidan says it's a broken chair and Goldilocks broke it. Very interesting raising a boy and girl at the same time.

Simone, hope the nausea passes soon. I remember it like it was yesterday, was the worst.

Vix, Glad C doesn't have hectic Rotavirus!

Ang, so sorry about your dad. Please keep us up to date.

So today is my first day with my trainer. I'm so nervous but also SO excited. I know exercise is the one thing that works for my body so I'm very excited to see the results. :)

Hi gals,

04:30 and checking in again, am wide awake after visiting the porcelain express for a little chit chat bleugh!!! I was laying in bed feeling quite chilly when suddenly the urge to puke struck and I was in the tweenies room far from the bathroom (well not that far really but you know how it is when you need to be sick) why is it that no matter how far away from the toilet you are you always seem to only just make it LOL

Ankia- yes I'm def going to Laliek's baby shower, I can't wait!!!!

For those concerned about leaving baba1 with someone while you're off having baba 2 here is my advice...... Try to get them used to sleeping out as much as possible so they can realize they come home to you and you alone, that way one day when they come home to another baby in the house they don't think everytime they walk out the front door that they'll return to a new baby. Poor C, I can't tell you how hard it was for him and me when he thought if he left home again he would return to more babies and voila 3w later another baby came home, my poor child was heartbroken! He had only ever slept out once before and it wasn't enough! The heartache In every tear he shed broke my heart into a million pieces and then for many months he wouldn't let us walk out of the room without him.

Ankia- It's great that the genesis allow hubby to sleep over, what a lovely bonding experience that must be but I will say this, practicality totally takes over when you have a toddler at home and no one to be his permanent guardian. Don't be surprised if DH ends up sleeping at home that night. I hardly saw my DH after the birth of the twins, C was in Naboom for the whole week but only because it's too far for DH to quickly pick him up, my hubby was so meloncoly for his boy! But with Jonathan in NICU and Alex with me my DH was basically looking after the other child and I must say I missed how the first time we got to just sit and stare at our new baby together. Get ready though my friend, from now on life gets crazy! Having more than one kid totally changes your life especially if you don't have babysitters etc.

What I will say about your 6am predicament, is it too early for ouma and oupa to take him for a couple of hours? I know you say he's usually fast asleep still at 6am but to be honest in a different environment he might not stick to the norm but also it won't hurt him to be woken up at 6 to go visit ouma and oupa, I'm sure it'll be like a little adventure. Just til your hubby has finiahed spending the night with you and can go pick him up.

Simone- so excited for your scan tomorrow!

Mandy- C is also doing that thing where he drops to the floor and cries in self pitty when he gets told off, it's all part of how they learn to manipulate I'm sure. We've had to revert to the naughty corner and stop the smacking because he was smacking all the kids at school on the bum LOL

Ange- I hope your dad is o.k and the results show some positive signs (((((hugs))))))

Helen- wow Oliver is very clever, C is only now getting the shapes right on his shape sorters (apparently for 6m+ mmmmm)

As for swearing, If C sees something he doesn't like or drops something he says "oh sh1t" and I say "excuse me? What did you just say?" And he says "oh goodness" LOL it's my fault though the sh1t word comes out of my mouth too fast and too often these days.

O.k I feel sick again so I'm gonna go.

Oh yeah, took C to paed, he has rotovirus but Dr said we mustn't stress, he's over the worst and clearly we're doing a good job keeping him hydrated (always good to hear the Dr likes how you habdled it so far) he said that actually a few more days on the meds we were already using probably would've cleared it up. But C's ear is red again so more antibiotics and a cough syrup for his mucus.

Thanks goodness the twins seem to be fine so far but if I'm getting sick it might be another story.

Julz u need some rest tonight:)

So I come home today to the sweetest, cutest most loving 2yr old! My word I couldn't stop kissing her...she was really so sweet. I asked her if her friend went home so she says: no mummy, you my friend! Kissed and hugged me:)

Also found the cure to nausea...laughter! I ran to toilet to throw up. So I'm looking up (in direction of ceiling)to try and stop it...I see Addison staring at ceiling asking me what I'm looking at!She says: oh shame, you getting sick? Come on, come on, spit in the toilet! Then she bursts out laughing...and then sees me stop mid air and goes: go mummy! Spit In the toilet!! Spit it in the toilet!

But she was like a crazy wwe wrestler the way she was yelling!

I mean really now! I really laughed the urge away! She was in hysterics as well.

She's gone to bed...waiting for G to get home from work...

Hope u all sleep well:)

Simone good luck with the scan.

Uh I am a bit brain dead. My son is still sleeping.

mandy Dylan is also going through a bad patch and he bit me yesterday so it sounds normal at this age and if i reprimand him he burst into tears. Manipulation.

Lol simone at the swearing. I have no idea why Dylan doesn't as I do. Dylan will say OH MY WORD.

Angie I am sorry about your dad. Please let us know what the tests say. x

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.
