Simone- That's for 'the talk' but it's a bit tall coming from you the mom who spent her birthday money on her daughter! LOL I said to DH last night that I already managed to spend R500 on meds and the kids and he said I must get what they need and he'll replace my money at month end so I can go clothes shopping without the kids, I like that Idea!

AFM: Ethan is back at school and seems like he is enjoying it. I just want to laugh at how he pronounces some of the kids names- Zak is Ak and Enrico is Riekig. He is doing well with the potty but want to poo in it. Any advise on how I can get him to do that. He asks for a nappy when he wants to go.
Yesterday we went to F&V and he says "Mommy hand" so I give him my hand and he stood still. I wanted to know what is wrong and he says I'm making a pee. When he was done he says "Klaar mamma jy kan loop". He is so cute these days and mommy must still do everything
Ethan thinks that the remote is his dads " Mamma gee daddy s'n". Dad enjoying it....gonna kill him....

Other than work I just love to read all the news re Japan. I've even got a live earthquake tool that shows me in the world it happen.

Vix glad you made some extra cash to spoil yourself a little, if anyone deserves it it's you. Can't wait to see pics of your newly installed kitchen.

Helen I agree with Mandy...Oliver seems very intelligent...I mean you're potty training him through him making associations! He can sound out the animals...so he's pretty darn clever! Hoping its nothing serious...perhaps like your BIL...he'll just be a late talker.

HI ladies.

I feel so bad for not replying to any of you right now, but I need to get dressed and ready for the cooking lesson at 10!!!

CT was amazing, it was filled with a LOT of eating, long days and lots of laughing with my blogging friends. On Sunday when I arrived I had to race to the F&V at Willowbridge to get lamb shanks and all the stuff for the shoot. Then went to my aunt's house and then off to Lunch at La Mouette in Sea Point. Monday I was at the studio at 9 in Observatory and started prepping the food. My slot of shooting started at 1 and it was so awesome although tedious and I had to repeat every sentence like 4 times. It's such a hectic process but I think it's going to be good and the lamb shanks came out DIVINE!
Then on Monday night my blogger friend said we must go for Dim Sum in Mouille Point and she got us the meal for free because we are both bloggers lol. We had probably around R500's worth of Dim Sum!
Then on Tuesday I went to Banks (this AWESOME kitchen shop) in the morning and bought some nice goodies, went to visit my cousin with her new baby in Century City, then to lunch at El Burro in Green Point, THEN to Giovanni's (An awesome deli) and then to a meeting with NoMu by the airport. They want to do some work with me and man oh man I'm so excited (helps that the owner is hot! lol)
Then back home, packed and off to the airport. It was a busy 3 days but I had so much fun and I just loved it.

I thought I'd have a quiet week on return but not so much. Cooking lesson at 10 today, then I need to go to JHB on Friday for a cooking with NoMu course at the PnP on William Nicol with Le Creuset!! Then next week I have a mystery Phillips launch.

And then my dad said he's tired of Herbalife so he's signing me up for the gym and he's going to get my trainer for me again. I am SO excited. I lost 16kgs in 3 months with her before I had the twins. Even though I didn't eat that much less, just that hour of hectic exercise a day made me feel so good so C said he's on board so maybe NOW I can gain control of my weight once and for all. It's just so hectic to eat well and drink stupid shakes when my whole life revolves around food and events right now. Hopefully the exercise will help.

But let me get going, I'll catch up properly later!

Simone if you feel the runny nose has been around too long maybe take her to the doc but most of all follow your instinct, you will know when it's necessary.

Helen I am so glad to hear that Oliver is feeling better. How is Nina doing on her new formula? Sorry about the early morning, hope they synchronise their sleep times better in future lol.
Re Olivers talking, I think Mandy makes very valid points re the brain connections and your instinct being the best. Speech therapy will probably speed things up a whole lot xxx

Mandy sounds like Cam is at such a sweet stage now. Glad he's given up on the biting but also hope the other kids stop doing it to him too. Vicious circle hey!
lol @ him sending you to the naughty corner, my mum was being sent there when I woke up yesterday and when I asked Shrey why he said 'granny worrying me eat murkoo murkoo'. Needless to say we couldn't hide our amusement

AFM still not feeling well but back at work. In all honesty I didn't rest much yesterday so actually sitting at my desk working is less strenuous. Had Shrey at home because dh wasn't keen on sending him to mil when I am at home Then there were visitors to see my gran for almost 4 hours and what a bloody noisy bunch.
Feeling much better though, just still a little bit weak and itchy throat and cough still lingering. Hopefully by end of antibiotics it will all be better.
Okay enough moaning by me

Shrey is well, cute and affectionate as ever. The more than 2 'i love you' we're getting per day is so precious.

Thanks for the advice Mandy, my mum keeps saying I really ought to go and I've been putting it off, partly because I keep hoping he's just going to wake up and get the hang of it one day, partly because Theo's brother was a very late talker (4years old) so it could be genetic and of course there's the expense of therapy but I'm starting to think an assessment would probably be a sensible idea because some of the speech disorders are better treated early. He's shy as well so I don't think that helps matters much. Thanks for the comment about him not being stupid, he is a normal little boy apart from the speech I often think strangers judge him because he looks so much older than he is (you must have the same thing with Cam at times, most strangers think Oliver is 4!) but yet his speech isn't even on par with a normal 2 year old

Anyways, he is requesting I play with play dough now so I shall be off
