Hi ladies

Simone well done to addy on being able to add. As for the nose My GP recommended Euphorbuim for siba its homeoptahic medis. Really works wonders for cold and allergies. we spary every night. Ever since his been on it there has been no snotty nose.

Julz: Welcome back yes we should set a date i miss you CT mummies.

Helen: For the exercises what we had to do one was to get rid of the bottle which we did and lil man is on a sippy mug. Now we have to get him on the straw. The therapit said we need to introduce one thing at a time. Like a book of animals use it for week or two and teach him. I have been doing that and its seems to work but im never sure. Repetition is key in everything Use short sentences. Speaking one language. And for him to play with his tongue more. I find the singing to him helps a lot. I could email you the papers she gave me.
I think siba also has a problem of connecting like the wires are screwed. Yesterday he said two new words lala and banana. At some point in time i honestly thought that there was something wrong with him DH is more stressed but i say remember he could not walk and now he is, the talking will eventually come but we cannot help but sterss and worry especially when kids of the same age group are progressing. Just for you to know i feel your pain and worry as i go through this daily but the therapy is making a slight difference. Although it leaves my pockets with huge holes. Which id rather pay for his well being in society.

Why so quiet on the thread I mean really come on ladies.

Hi ladies

Julz welcome back we missed you a lot. Hope you don't get the flu too badly. Glad to hear Dylan is doing so well and YAY on being fully potty trained

Simone wow Addy is good and so pleased that she's feeling better.

Nicole hope all the meds help K get better soon.

We use Allergex if Shrey has runny nose that hasn't dried up for days.

Simone my friends baby that was born at 30w spent a while in NICU (can't remember how long) but he is 100% now. He actually hit almost all milestones on or before his corrected age. :)

And this time round she didn't want the same complications with NICU baby so from day 1 she said she will go as far as her doc is prepared to let her go. The previous time she was content taking baby out at 32 weeks because she didn't understand the complications.

Julz very true re power of the mind.

AFM nothing much to report. Shrey is well. I'm getting over the flu nicely. Looking forward to the long weekend.

Morning ladies,

Christi- I can't forsee BF during pregnancy being an issue, some people say it may lead to MC but actually stats show otherwise, there are plenty women prone to MC who are not BF. I suppose it could perhaps become an issue towards due date, nipple stimulation can and has caused prem labour for a lot of women but as it's a regular stimulation I'm sure your body will be used to it. The only real thing that would be an issue for me is the jealousy. If there is one thing that a first child gets jealous over it's mommy and the BF may possibly just be a little too close for comfort. Look every child is different but I will say this, you will not fully understand just how difficult it is for a first child to suddenly have a sibling until you see it for yourself. It's horrible and I'm not exagerating, you will cry when you see the heartache in Iris' eyes. Some chhildren show it instantly and grow out of it and some are fine and grow into the jealousy. C is fine now but only because his way of dealing with it was to abandon his relationship with mommy. I just hope you don't find the tandem feeding causes huge jealousy issues because once baby is here anything you take away from iris she will think it's because of the baby. As for GP advice and BF, don't even go there 99.9% of them are unsupportive and actually don't have a clue what they're talking about but I do think we forget that GP actually means General Practitioner and although they cover a wide range of areas they don't specialise in many if any.

Lisha- congrats to your friend! BP issues are tough to control during pregnancy but I can totally understand why she would want to hold on as long as possible. Having a baby in NICU isn't nice but I was lucky, although Jonathan was as small as a 30w baby his development was that of a 34w baby so a lot of the 'danger' milestones were passed. 30w is very early and still under developed so baby has a lot more developing to do on the outside world. It's tough so to have a big bouncing full term baby after that must be a dream to her and she has very right to be super proud of herself!

Simone- sorry about your internet cap. So pleased to hear Addy slept well!

Sorry I was quiet, other stuff going on on Moomie I was busy keeping an eye on and then witrh the builders in I didn't really sit down.

The kitchen is a big square box now, they're finishing the window today because we had a door and a small window and that has been taken out and replaced with just one BIIIIG window. They moved all the plug sockets and plumbing yesterday and knocked out a silly pointless bit of wall that used to pretrude into the room. I'm so excited to see the cupboard in because it'll really start to take shape but that's only happening from tuesday morning. Then we have to wait probably 4 days for the granite to be cut and polished so they'll only come fit that monday/tuesday of the following week. Somehow need to get the tiler in before the granite to do the floor and then after to do the walls. Wow it's tough trying to co-ordinate it all because we want to use our own tiler because we know he does a perfect job, the kitchen company may use a tiler that looks like he did a good job but their preperation is cr@p and I don't want to see tiles coming off in 2 years after spending close to R90,000 on a kitchen. Besides the kitchen company were ripping us off for the tiling as they probably have everything else anyway. But we refuse to do the kitchen ourselves, there's just too much risk involved if you mess up, it can be quite costly in the end so we decided to rather pay someone to do it and if they mess up it's their issue not ours. Besides we don't exactly have the time to do it and I refuse to live without a kitchen for months with 3 kids in the house.

The boys both slept til 5am for their first feed of the night. I would've been lovely and refreshed if I got to bed before 12 oops!

C has gone back to resenting me, it drives me mad because Elwyn is loosing his temper with him and giving into him because he's sick of being the only one C wants and I'm not allowed to do a single thing. So I put my foot down last night, I told Elwyn that he HAS to stop giving into C even if it's irritating, we must just ignore his bad behavour because E is constantly saying "stop crying, stop crying, stop crying" and it's actually giving C attention all be it bad attention. I did my super nanny trick last night and kept walking C back to his bed, the first time I explained he must stop crying and behave before he can come out, obviously he kept coming out screaming but I just took his hand and led him back everytime without a word. I told Elwyn he is not to do anything, this is my discipline and only I can control it until he does what he's told. After the 4th trip to the bedroom he came to me to say sorry and behaved for the rest of the night. I think it's time I taught Elwyn how to be strict and soon we may have a better behaved C again. Well except he learnt what 'fight' means at school, he held his fists up this morning and said "Christopher fight" mmmmm don't like that one cos I KNOW he'll box all the other kids at school, he's far too strong willed.

I STILL have green mucus from my sinus, it's been weeks now so I'm not letting it run anymore, that theory sucks, so I'm getting sinucons today and we'll see how it goes.

I have hideous tooth ache and need to have a tooth pulled but I don't know if I am ready to have the hastle of a hole in my mouth just yet. Not without a kitchen cos let's face it, no one makes take out soup.

Sorry it's all about me but I've been absent for so long I figured I'll give you a whole lot to catch up on!

Hello, I 'm back, well sort of.

Christi a huge congratulations on your pregnancy. I wish you a perfect one and I agree with regards to the bfeeding. You have done really well!!!!

Simone sorry about your rough nights! As far as a cold goes, I don't give meds to dry the nose as I find it just keeps the snot in and he gets worse. All I do is give saline spary and if he is feverish a bit of neurofen at night. This also helps bring down any swelling in the nose. I just let the nose run rather and after a couple days he is better.

Vix yay on the kitchen. Nothing better in the whole world than a new kitchen. That and spoiling yourself so good on you! I kept Dylan in babygrows for ages. Only problem was that he was quite long so they often didn't fit him for that long.

ARA glad ethan is doing well at school.

Ankia bring on the honeymoon period and hopefully you won't be nauseous now.

Zee hope you also feel better asap.

Mandy and Simone thinking of you and I hope the meds help! Good luck.

Lisha how are you? I enjoyed the breyani in Hyderabad! I am so pleased your friend managed to do so well in her pregnancy! Power of the mind is incredible.

Helen I am sure some speech threapy will help alot. I also think the longer you leave it the more difficult it will be to correct if there is a problem. You have had so many things to deal with though so I understand you putting it off. These things take so much time and effort. Does he have a tongue tie? It may be physical even.

Nicole sorry about your garden. annoying!

Yoza your two sound so sweet, but life sounds really hectic.
Well done to your friend for going vbac!!!

Ally your trip sounded hectic.

Nelria your house looks fab and I am glad you are settled in.

Who am I forgetting? Lelani and Angie we must set a date!

My trip was so hectic but I hope it was a success! I took it easy for a couple days. Neil had other plans though as we are together for 10 years so we went for a boat trip yesterday and a stunning meal last night. Got a sitter. I was really tired though. Getting flu aswell so in for a tough week ahead.

Dylan is doing well. He was quite good for neil. We must send him to school in undies as they say he is trained at school now. they will also send him home in undies.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Okay nicole. Glad the nasal spray helps:-)

Addison is fine...nose drying up nicely, mucous clear (well it was before the wet nose disappeared)

G asked addy this morning what's 1+1 (with his fingers) and she yelled out 2!! I almost got whiplash to turn around and check if I heard right. Count on the maths lecturer to sneak in sums while playing with his child! So seeing as she graps that...wanna try and do more sums with her.

Simone apparently to K's GP Allergyx is not great to take, apparently it dries the noise up but then makes the mucos sticky, which just leads to the noise being affected again, also K has been on Rinex, Deselex, Demezin etc but none of those helped his hayfever, only the corizone nasal spray. But if he does get an reaction from mozzie bites i will just give him some allergy meds for a day or two. How is Addy?

Julz you have been so quiet? catching up on your sleep?
