Yoza I agree with your mom...Addison's speech development slowed down at one stage and I couldnt figure out why. Then I realised she knew some xhosa, afrikaans and english...which was confusing for her. When Cynthia was off in December I found that Addison's speech just improved remarkably because then she wasnt learning the xhosa as well. I didnt mind...because I knew what the reason was...and now its fine.

Nicole...I am teaching Addison is draw a smiley face (she can draw a circle) and teaching her number recognition and counting in context. She can count to 12, but I am teaching her to count things as well. Whether we walk past trees or flowers...I count them with her and she is doing well with that. Also trying to teach her to recognise her name. Those are my focus points now. Oh and I want to start with the days of the weeks (never even thought about that before Lelani mentioned it...such a clever mommy and boy!)

Addison draws this squidgy line and declares its a snake...lol.

We still dont know if Addison is left or right handed...she appears to favour the left hand but still occassionally uses her right hand!

G just brought me the most beautiful pink roses to work

I bought him a stunning soviet shirt and biltong. Also bought Addison dora bubble bath and peel off nail polish. Got my brother and sister biltong as well and my mom a bag of mixed sour sweets;-) Wanted to get everybody something small

Julz i am so pleased to that D took to your mom straight away. Sorry for all the family problems, but unfortuntely that tends to happen when to much family is together (well my family anyway)

Just out of interest sake, what are you ladies concentrating on teaching your kiddies? At the moment im trying to teach him colours and shapes which he now knows, also working on all types of animals and just general things.

Vix I am so happy that things are going so well. It can't be easy to have a toddler and twin babies though. Anne richardson says that the toddler needs more attention, but I am not sure how you would fit that in. I am sure one the crazy baby time ends things will be better between you and C. It is something that I have had to work at for 2 years with a therapist though as I felt the same way about Dylan. When he smacked me I would have total hatred towards him and want to really hurt him!

Zee please don't apologise for being tired of the ms. It is the most awful thing in the whole world. Really awful to say the lease. I hope it passes soon. Asic helped me too. That and not taking vitamins with gelatine or vitamin B.

AFM We had a nice weekend. Met my mom at the airport yesterday. Dylan was a monster of note, running all over and he wouldn't sleep yesterday so we were all flipping tired. My mom spoilt us. I got my perfume, some DVD's and neil got amazing antique cork skrews for his collection and then Dylan got a sweet Dinosaur and lots of books, pants, bag socks etc.

He took to my mom right from the start so that was really cool. He calls her Granny which is nice. I was worried as he calls my gran granny too so I thought he might be confused.

anyway so much going on in the family with arguments before this wedding. Quite funny although my mom has been hurt etc. Not great.

Thank you for the wonderful messages. I got an appointment for thursday to see an Audiologist. The same one I used when siba turned one.

I was really worried but im not that stressed out anymore. After talking to my mum I think we know what the problem is. She did say that it might that he is adapting to the playschool cause its English. She said children tend to slow down in the language when they learn a new one. His speech slowed done only when he started playschool

Will see what the tests say and still continue with the speech therapy. Anything for my president.

On the bright side the lil man started saying the clicks sounds something he had stopped doing.

As for valenines hubby said he will surprise me. Thats a first for him i suppose his making up.

AFM: the kids were invited to a party they had so much fun they started crying when we left my friends house.

Enigma...aw that is such a sweet gift and one that'll fill up with time;-) Lol @ your dog/lion cross breed child! Addison is so stale with her scary face...we have to pretend to be frightened 100 times a day with her cute roar...lol. Last time I checked a roar was not supposed to be cute??

Nicole...Lelani and Vix would approve of DH's um...gift ...lol. It was way too freakin hot here in pe for morning fun!! How cute isnt that spanish chatter? The counting is adorable..and Addy does it with full accent...lol. Take lotsa videos!

We had a lovely weekend.

We did have an oopsie last night due to Addison going to bed before 6pm! She woke up at 9pm but we didnt hear her...usually she wakes up only if she wants to wee....so she came into the lounge, saw us eating chips and grabbed a few with her eyes closed and we took her back to bed...not 5 minutes later she was calling me saying she wanted to pee pee...but it was too late (and she still had big wee after that). So I reckon when she woke up the first time...she probably wanted to wee but got distracted by the chips! I dont mind though cause its really been smooth sailing with her...so 1 oopsie once in a blue moon is fine by me.

Cant wait for our supper date tonight. I know Valentines day is not about one day....BUT it is one of the few times G and I make a concerted effort to have a date night. With him working 2 nights a week and Saturdays...dates are the last things on our mind...so I am very excited. Going to dash to the mall now to get him something. I was hoping I had a brain wave to buy him something for his germany trip next month...but I cant think of anything!! Any ideas????

He is so annoying at times and he also hits me for no reason .SO I always scream at him and I hit him back (bad I know) he also tells me “I DON’T LIKE YOU “ but I know it`s just this terrible stage they in but he never gives his dad a hard time .So I look like the sargent with the crazy look .

Sorry I've been so quiet lately - I'm just too exhausted to function properly!

Happy Valentines day to everyone.

From my side things are still going fine, got my next appointment this afternoon so will hear what the quack has to say. Not so be pessimistic (SP?) but I have a feeling that this pregnancy is also going to result in another c-sec - don't know why but I just have a feeling..... Bryce moved into the birth canal and then stuck around there until they fetched him out..... But lets see what happens!
