OMW Helen the baby is really making you hang on hey. Glad you're feeling so patient & calm about everything. Sounds like you've also got an excellent gynae that's really being very patient with you.
Hope little Olivers ears clear up soon and keeping fx that by some miracle the antibiotics don't give him diaper rash. If you start in advance lathering his bum with Bepanthan will that not help?

Ara I am so amazed that I've heard so many complaints about the new HG but we're still fine with it. Shrey is on 4+ both day & night and it lasts him through the night.

Yoza hope you aren't coming down with something. Congrats on Buhle calling you mama, I'm sure that makes you very proud xxx

I am battling to keep my eyes open here. Already finished a 300ml Lucozade and 2 cups of coffee but nothing is helping Need to soldier on till 4:30 and then maybe just being out of the office will help. In the meantime I'm waiting for my roti & mutton curry (ordered with less mutton and extra potato lol) for lunch.

Everyone else, hello! My mind has hit a blank now

AFM - Had a busy couple of days, feeling more and more ready for the baby as each day passes but I'm still in no rush for it to make its appearance lol. I still can't believe how patient I feel about it all, I don't know where its coming from! Had a check up with the doc yesterday, baby is measuring around 4.2kg on the machine but doc reckons its more likely to be around 3.8-4kg. Its facing the wrong way at the moment (what they call a stargazer apparently) and yesterday he was a bit concerned about that so he asked if he could do yet another internal just to make sure he really is still happy for me to deliver naturally. Good news is he's quite confident I shouldn't have any problems, he says my pelvis is ample big enough, proper child bearing hips and pelvis he said lol, and he reckons the chances are that there is still space for the baby turn, otherwise he thinks it likely that it will turn in the birth canal during labour as he says that often happens when there is such a large pelvis and its also more common in second pregnancy. If it doesn't turn then it indicates a more painful and harder labour but I'm not even allowing myself to consider that. Baby is still sitting quite high and my cervix is still posterior so he predicts no action in the next week and is more than happy for me to wait it out. He reckons I may still go another 2 weeks...eeeeek!

To be honest I still don't feel quite ready yet (although I am very nearly there) so I'm sure nature is playing its part in keeping this LO nice and warm and cosy until I am ready to meet it. I also think nature is playing its part as well, Oliver has been a tiny bit grizzly these last couple of days and I thought it was because he was sensing the new arrrival was imminent but then he's started taking ages to settle at night, no tears or fuss, just taking him an hour or so to get to sleep. Last night after nearly two hours of him trying to get to sleep I eventually asked him where is it sore and he pointed to his ears (man I wish he would talk sometimes!) so I took him to the doc this morning and my poor little man has a really nasty ear infection. He's such a little soldier because he just carries on with everything, his appetite is fine, no fever and no lethargy or anything. I feel terrible as the doc said he's probably in an awful lot of pain because the infection is so bad but its so difficult for me to detect because he just gets on with it. Now he has a course of antibiotics, some pain killers and a mucolater (sp?). I don't think this baby will make an appearance until he's all better. Sad thing is the antibiotics will almost certainly give him nappy rash, they usually do so he's going to feel better but then get irritable because he gets a sore bottom

Anyways, that's me for now, I'm going to try and catch a nap.

RE Ethan: yes she will go and fetch him after 12 and look after him. Wanted to let the helper go, but feel bad to do that. She's been with me for 5yrs and the nanny only 18mnths.

Girls i'm so not impressed with the new huggies gold Seems like the nappy holds less urine like the old one!! I'm using a size5 for night and 4 for the day, but I HAVE to change him every night otherwise he is wet in the morning! Anyone who has old stock and want to get rid of it????

Girls, I'm so happy. This morning I saw a pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans in the cupboard and thought "let me just try" i couldn't get them on normally but I buttoned them up and then jumped around like a crazy chicken and they are ON!!!! lol OK so I'll have to wear a giant top to cover the muffin top but THEY ARE ON!!! That's all that matters. I can't believe it! They are like 3 sizes smaller than my jeans I'm wearing now. YIPPPPEEE!!!

Going shopping at 12 for some clothes for me, my brother and C so can't wait to see what else I can fit into lol.
