hello!

On phone so have 2 keep this short, been having internet issues all day so haven't been able to post, hopefully better luck tomorrow so I can finally get a proper catch up in!

Been to doc, baby looks like very happy to stay put, doc thinks I'll still make my appointment next wk, will be 41wks then! Will log in tomorrow with all the finer details, just wanted to give you a quick update

Wow, you talking about Elwyn in NICU is making me all emotional. I just remember how C would be running between the maternity ward and the NICU bringing me photo's and updates constantly the first 2 days. And how he fought with the nurses the night of the birth for them to take me to the NICU! IN MY HOSPITAL BED! lol I'm so glad your boys are doing well. Sho, I can't imagine how teeny tiny little Jono must be but I'm sure he'll reach 1.8kg fast! I can still remember when we sat for 45 minutes trying to get the twins to drink 50ml of breastmilk hehehe.

I can't believe tomorrow is Thursday already. I have SO much to do. I have 3 shopping lists (Dischem, Clothes shopping and last of house stuff), Dentist on Friday morning, Need to still do quite a few blog posts, friend's baby shower on Saturday afternoon, then still all the packing. Good golly, I'm feeling very overwhelmed. But I'll just do as much as I can. Not going to beat myself up if I don't get everything done.

Well, let me get writing, I'd like to do some more writing tonight before I go to bed.

aaaw Vix what a day! Glad you listened to your instict and ate what you felt like to get yourself right! I really hope that they have another type of pain meds that your body wont object too. Shesh, your boys are absolute miracles - and Elwyn is one of them! What an amazing Dad and to think that it took him quite a bit longer to get into being completely comfortable with C.. He has grown so much through the last 2 years, Im sure more than he or you could imagine! You take it easy hon and glad you liked your flowers and prem contribution..

Helen.. thinking of you so much and hoping your little bundle will be coming soon Nice, a december baby, then wont Zamzie be a december baby too? When is Zamzie due?

and then Jess - come on gals, we need some more preggy ladies now.. We wont know what to do with ourselves without showers and excitement of the birth!

Vix so pleased you are feeling better and congrats again. I am so impressed that Elwyn is being such a super dad. Give him a hug from me. Not many dads would be in NICU like that. I hope you have a good night.

I fistly want to say WOW! You guys are truely amazing! I received your stunning flowers this afternoon and I am overwhelmed by your wonderful generosity and fantastic support! When they walked in with the flowers I though 'mmm I must have a serously heavy admirer because they are stunning' but I should've known such taste could only come from a huge bunch of amazing women! Wow girls, just the offer of helping hands was already amazing but your contribution to my premmy babies recovery is just outstanding! Elwyn was overwhelmed by what he saw today mainly because he couldn't believe how caring friends (some of whom I have never met and most of whom he has never met). Can be. You all mean so much to me aswell as Elwyn and not to mention all 3 of your Whitehead nephews!

I really can't say much as I am about to pass out staring at this screen but I have a quick round up of today and would apprecitate it if someone can copy and paste it into my Birth story topic and my jan/feb topic:


So sorry I deserted you today, I had the worst recovery day ever today. I actually felt great after the C-sec and slept like a mother of 0 children LOL but the pain drugs had a bad effect on me this morning and I spent all morning vomiting. I couldn't even keep water down. At one point I was so sick of being sick I was hysterically crying. I opted out of having any pain meds at all so far since 2:30am just because I was so sick everytime I looked down to try and BF Alex I had to vomit into the bowl. Thankfully by 2 I snuck a whole load of sweeties down my neck and started to at least manage to focus my eyes. Everyone keeps telling me "no sugary stuff, no gassy drinks, no coffee etc" but it was all of that that finally got me to stop vomiting and focus my eyes. I managed to eat lunch after that so then Finally went to see Jonathan in NICU nearly a whole day after he was born.

The sister thinks I'm crazy to have had no meds today but I'm not actually in pain, I'm just sore and stiff. I promised when they come and collect Alex and take him to the nursery for the night I will have a shot of meds then sleep the rest of the night away.

The boys are doing really well, I have a fantastic British Peadiatrician Dr Walker, so on my level for everything including sense of humour, just a shame he is a Man U supporter. LOL Alex as you know has not needed NICU at all, he's just real small but as strong as a regular baby. Jonathan is in NICU but has not needed any assistance in breathing, His lungs are very strong. He needs to be tube fed because he is too small to get the whole suck, swallow breathe routine right but in a day or 2 they will try to orally feed him in small amounts and see. The head sister at NICU says he is hard work in a good way, he is fighting them and trying to prove himself bigger than he is. They say he thinks he should be in the nursery not NICU LOL And that he misses his bully brother. Everyone keeps telling me how well he is doing.

DH is sooooooo chilled now, he is way more into the care that Jonathan needs in NICU, I think he's taken that on as his responsibility and is FOREVER in NICU, I have only been once LOL But that is so nice to see. He talks to him and touches him as he lays under the heater, he's really such a great Daddy.

O.k I will have to fill you in more when I feel better but for now I'm really struggling to keep my eyes open.

Mandy, once I know more, you'll know more. It's got to do with the tv industry so I can't say anything as the producer doesn't want someone to steal the idea ... that should keep you on your toes a bit longer!

So glad the boys are doing well. Hope Vix is feeling better already!
