Helen I am also pro natural BUT i believe you need to inform yourself on both. I knew NOTHING about a c-section before i was wheeled in (which may be a good thing?? lol) so best to be prepared.

That being said...I had a lovely experience. I really was not in pain or anything. I got up and showered myself early the next day and went to fetch Addy walking around with her before a nurse even pitched up. I didnt take meds and was up making tea for guests from the day I got home. I was in the mall on the 6th day paying accounts. What was annoying was I had staples...so I had to put pillow in front of tummy when sneezing (which i do ALOT of).

So everybody's experience is different. I HOPE if you do have to have or choose a c-section...you'll have a good experience.

I want to go VBAC next time, but if i think of how easy C-section was...I am scared shitless!

My complaint about c-section is the 'wet lungs' thing...i know a few kids (my child included) that only grew out of it after 1. It was painful that my child battled so much with breathing. She was on nasal spray from the day after she was born. So for that alone I would be prepared to go through the pain of the VBAC.

Lisha I am glad Shreyan is on the mend. Addy puked up the first half of her bottle of antibiotics when she had tonsilitis, so I guess she also didnt finish the course??? But everything was okay.

Okay so I booked Addison's cake...same person that did my wedding cake...I think its going to be lovely. Vanilla cake covered in white choc mousse and an embellished tiara on it with the number 2 in diamante's and her name will be on cake. CUTE!! Man next month is still so far away!

So I don't think I'm coming to CT, which is fine. The flights are all completely booked up.

Helen, so glad things are going well. Vix is right about the C-sec stuff but I have to say, FOR ME it was a pleasure. I had the babies at 15h30 and got to hold them before they went to NICU, then I got to sleep for a bit. They wheeled me to them in my bed at about 22h00 that night but C kept me updated and kept bringing me photo's throughtout the day. The next morning at 08h00 they forced me to get up which was F*CKING sore and I stood for about 10 minutes just hoping my innards weren't going to fall out. But about an hour after that I was walking fine but I was still careful sitting down in the NICU etc. The drive home 3 days later was a nightmare. It was flippin sore and during my c-sec, air had been 'captured' in my abdomen so if I stood too long I would get this incredible pain by my ribs but by day 5 that was gone too. By the Saturday we brought the twins home (exactly a week later) I was completely fine. REALLY. I was walking fine, lying fine etc. But I might just be very lucky. Plus, it didn't help that my aunt told me that having a c-sec isn't sore at all and that I'm not allowed to mope or feel sorry for myself lol. Keep in mind that the women had a hysterectomy that got infected, a boob job that got botched so she had to have it re-done twice etc. lol

Helen, havent seen pic, but i am also guess it is a boy! The childbirth decision seems very difficult escpecially what you went through previously, maybe you need to speak to your gyne for his input if any more damage can happen? Then you and Theo have a heart to heart about it.

Lisha I am also pro natural but also like you because the birth was relatively okay (not as bad as i envisoned) it also went quickly, I was only in labour for 5 hours.

Feels like im getting the dam sick again, maybe because i was under all the stress my immune system is propebly not that strong?

Things with my mom seem okay, she seems to think that there was nothing wrong to begin with? but decided i wasnt going to harp on the matter, rather let sleeping dogs lie. But dont think i would ask her to watch K again, rather my aunt.


I am really looking forward to the long weekend.
