Christi, that's really ridiculous! I knew if I said no children at my wedding half the people wouldn't attend so I made sure there was a room for the kids to play in with a babysitter and a tv with movies etc.

Oh, and she's not better than you because she has more money, because the money isn't hers lol. And I love people who think they are 'higher class' because of their money. We live right next to Waterkloof which is the fanciest neighbourhood in PTA. 90% of the houses are like PROPER mansions, and I have many friends who live there and I can tell you now, money does NOT buy class/sophistication. Some of those houses are so horribly decorated but then the lady will walk out in her leopard print outfit (from some absurdly expensive place) and be all snotty because the neighbours don't have the newest tv or car. So ridiculous.

Christi- to be honest I also wouldn't attend!

I love the idea of going out without C for a change but you're right, who can one really ask to babysit on a Sunday evening.

We are attending a wedding on 2nd October and it said nothing about children so i asked DH to find out if we can bring C because if not then I'm not going. I'm not opposed to going out without C but it's not always convenient and also on a weekend at 3pm we spend time as a family not seperated.

I wonder how those people who say 'no children' at their functions feel when they have babies and get invited somewhere? Every body has their turn!
