so people, what would you do about the pram thing, would you make a plan to buy the one with the bassinets too or just stick with the regular forward facing twin pram?

I agree with you on that point Julz - if that were my friends' kid I saw walking around with a beer I would have said something. That is wrong.

I don't smoke anymore nor do I drink at all but other people mustn't try give Bryce a sip of their drinks cause I freak out. My BIL did it once and I lost it - I told him that if you want to be a prick and feed alcohol to kids to it to your own.

But ja, I do give Bryce a sip of my cooldrinks when he asks or the cream off my cappuccino but if its got alcohol in then its a big NO. He's not always happy about it but he doesn't piss & moan to much about it either - i just distract him with something else.

we don't have money for coke in our house anyways so it's not really an issue but if we still did have money DH would set a terrible example. He used to drink 2-3l of sprite zero every evening from coming home from work until he left the next morning, although it's not as bad as drinking booze every night it's actually terrible for the gut. Now he drinks water, just as much, but he can really feel the benefit from changing.

so i thought grease proof paper would work as a baking sheet but apparently not as i sit her chewing the oat cookies from the paper in desperation to eat them.

There's a family in church. All overweight and their kids would each come to church with 500ml coke...like 3 to 5yrs old. I swore I would never allow that.

I don't like Addy drinking the stuff...so we are currently making lifestyle changes so she doesn't prefer coke over water/juice/milk one day. I told Gerard no more luxuries and fizzy drinks. We will all eat more veggies...cause we have to set an example.so I went to stock up on fruit and veggies...cause yesterday... Now she still eats a balanced diet and coke is a luxury...not everyday item on her menu.

For Shrey's birthday last year we had 2 tier eggless chocolate cake and a few Pooh & friends toppers ... paid R650 so I seriously think you are selling yourself short. See the pic of the cake on my fb page.

Julz dh's cousins daughter used to walk around with coke in her bottle Don't know what the family were thinking ... but she refused milk (much like my monster) so they gave bottles of Coke. Today she is about 18 years and has serious weight issues and had them as far back as I know her ... shame I feel very sorry for her ... that being Shrey still gets a sip or 2 if we have it but not more!

Nelria....we allowed Addy some of our jacob's coffee the other night...was difficult to get her to bed that night...so new rule...no coffee after 4!

Julz lol re: cigarette! I get what u mean...i am the adult but I believe everything in moderation. I would love if my kid didn't love the stuff....but I can't be a hypocrite and say no while I down a glass. We don't drink in our house really...once in a blue moon. I have 1/4 esprit in fridge from openings WC game.lol. We don't smoke...so luckily we don't have to test my limits with those.Lol..cause u know I'm a softy. my mom has ugly habit of giving kids beer...babies. And she gave Addy one day and she spat it out going yuck. Its how we were brought up...I seriously was allowed to drink wine if I wanted to at 7...we could pick champagne as luxury item when my parents went shopping....i wouldn't allow it for Addy...but I didn't become an alcoholic. In fact I am anti smoking (started at 12 stopped at 25), not much of a drinker.

Health wise....obviously better not to like the bad things...

I know u mean well...we all have different levels of what we tolerate for our kids. there are things that make me cringe when I see or hear of other kids doing it.

Beer drinking 11yr old? I'm being hypocritical here...cause at 12 I was drinking...i was in high school though...but show some respect! The parents allowed it??? That's bad.

C doesn't like fizzy, it makes him choke LOL actually my boy doesn't really like much other than milk and water LOL oh and has suddely become addicted to his Daddy's coffee.
