Evening ladies
What a lot of chatting!! Goodness me I can barely keep up!
Our finances also had a makeover so that we could afford to buy the house, once you really start working out how much things are costing you its so easy to save money, even at F&V you still have to be aware, sometimes its cheaper per kg to buy the veggies loose and sometimes it works out cheaper to buy prepacked, I'm with Vix, always take a calculator with you

I also stock up on specials, one month I'll be buying tons of washing powder and the next it'll be loads of nappies. I've started stocking up on toiletries, cat food, cleaning products etc ready for ML so that hopefully we can ride the wave more easily....starting to worry about that already. We usually spend about R2000 on dry stuff and nappies etc then R1000 for fresh produce and meat. I only ever buy meat on special and stock up on that also, we have lamb/steak maybe once or twice a month and I also buy the bacon from F&V that Vix mentioned, bacon is waaaay to expensive. I must be honest, I also won't scrimp on butter, I really don't like marg so I buy butter when its on special and freeze it, last month they had it at PnP for about R16 so I bought 6 blocks lol, that should see us through for a while
Angelique - Lol, I agree definitely too cold to do the ironing, you sound like me looking for a reason not to do it hehehe, I hate ironing!
Simone good luck with the bed and phew about the Coke interview, we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for you and sending positive vibes your way
PFairy - I'm really glad you enjoyed your weekend away. Much deserved after your last few weeks. Have you found out if your insurance will cover your carport?
Nelria - Yay on weight loss! I hope I lose as quickly as you after this one, I'm nervous about getting on the scales now - luckily we don't have any at home so I only find out at the check ups lol

Glad Lea is enjoying Xen, sounds like a little brother is exactly what she needed
Lisha - Good luck on the weaning process, I can imagine it must be tough on all of you and no easy task. Stick in there girl!
Nicole - Yay on finding a cake, you must be getting so excited and don't stress, you will accomplish everything and have time to spare I'm sure of it
Christi - Nice job on the garage door

You sound like us with your budget for the house, DH is doing more or less everything himself, at the moment he's busy with new skirting boards throughout which I'm hoping he'll be fitting over the weekend

Iris is precious
Yoza - I love factory shops, wish there were more here in JHB! Hope Buhle gets better soon.
Leigh - don't worry, we don't have a nebuliser either

Have a humidifier for when the lil man gets a cold but I only really use it in winter and I doubt you need it in CT as your winters aren't dry like they are here.
Lelani - Hope I haven't missed a post, are things sorted with you and DH?
Zee - How was your birthday? We're missing you
I'm sorry I'm hitting a blank now mega tired today after staying up to watch the footie last night

Hello everyone else
AFM - Took Oliver to the zoo yesterday, he quite enjoyed but it'll definitely be more fun when he's a little bit older. He was fascinated by the owls, liked the snakes but was terrified of the chimpanzees, I think its because they're so noisey and they move so fast.
I'm pretty sure my preggy hormones are going mental, I've had a headache all day and I had a bit of a cry when I spoke to my mum on Skype earlier. Didn't help that last night I had a horrible dream, its funny now but it was quite disturbing when I woke up, I dreamt I had a little girl and that I just popped her out and started walking around, gave her a little cuddle and handed her to my mum, she was covered in brown fur head to toe and had pointy ears like a cat and in the dream it was like that was totally normal but I was horrified when I woke up.
Then to add to my day, Oliver's little bottom was nearly all better this morning but he's proceeded to have a runny tummy all day

and he won't let me change his nappy without a huge fuss (probably because its sore)and as a result his bottom is now worse than it was on Friday

He wouldn't sit down in the bath again and everytime I poured water over his bottom he'd cry a hurt little cry and grab at his bottom and willy to cover it

Its horrible when they're in pain and you can't do anything about it, this cold weather isn't helping either as his skin is getting chapped as well. Think I'll stop at the pharmacy tomorrow for some heavy duty nappy rash cream - any suggestions?
Sleep tight everyone, I must get me to bed!
