Please don't mention what happens in private practice. I am waiting for it still and we don't have dstv. Another huge saving.

Ally spar is way too expensive. Just go there if we really have to, but there is a large pnp that is close and I go there rather.

And sorry ladies, but I refuse to shop at checkers. We get points back at pick n pay through discovery anyway but I honestly hate checkers. All of them.

Yipee for Private Practice ... I feel like I've been waiting for ages for the latest season.

Ally in my house it would be way less work to make a mutton curry than a simple pasta lol.

Angie your cheese picnic sounds so romantic :)

Almost time to go ladies ... enjoy the evening and hope all the little nunu's sleep well. Vix early to bed hey!!!

Julz, I've also found that the housebrands aren't THAT much cheaper. I buy all the normal brands I normally buy at SPAR but at Checkers at the end of the day, the whole trolley is like R500-R1000 cheaper. It's ridiculous!

Ang, I was going to make lamb curry tonight but I am so incredibly lazy now I can't be bothered. I'm just going to fry everything together and add pasta.

I am already starting to make lists for next week's trip lol. Me and my lists. I make lists of the lists I need to make lol. C says in all the time I take to make lists I could do all of the stuff on the freakin list.

Can't wait for Private Practice tonight! :) :) :)

Vix, you are like one of those budget shopping ladies on Oprah...you have great ideas.

I usually just use the calculator on my phone when I go to the shop coz I hate getting to the till and getting the shock of my life

Ally I was also thinking about making a bacona and mushroom pasta tonigt as I have all the things at home.

CT Ladies, last week I went to the consol glass shop in Stellenbosch & in the same road is a Cheese factory shop. So bought some cheese there as it was like R36/kg.

Vix, they also had a special on their bree, camambert and gorgonzola..they were like R4 each for those usual sizes you get at pick n pay etc..so it was nice to have a private little cheese & biscuit picnic at home with DH

Oh and the larger size is often more expensive than two smaller ones and pick n pay name brands are also more expensive somethimes.

Sadly I don't know what we spend, but we dont add anything extra to the trolley so no biscuits etc. We make a list and stick to it.
