Bread pudding recipe on its way Vix.

No, I have to say I'm quite welcome here, though I could have guessed I would feel so cos me and Julz are old friends. It'll take a while to get to know everyone but thats to be expected.

Will have to get DH (is that darling hubby?) to check about the cost of the snip. Was sure he'd done some research on our discovery plan and found it to be so.

Erin hasn't sat in a high chair for ages. Luckily we brought over one of those chairs that sits on top of the dining room chair and you clip her in. Just wish I had two to take to Granny's.

I also wish I was more organised. I'm quite good though normally with birthday cards though not the last month, the wheels fell off after my aunts passing.

I must warn you mums.....when it comes to a time when someone passes in your family and your young ones are 4 or 5. There is no such word as gone or passed away in their vocabs. Its DEAD, just plain and simple DEAD. Not very nice in the middle of a very emotional time but there you go.

Granny had the girls last night as Grandad went away for the weekend. Still didn't manage to get anywhere near hubby for the CATS!!!!!

Thanks Lisha, its great to be here.

Am now freezing and sneezing, time for a cup of tea and an Anzac cookie me thinks.

Simone..mmmm yummy bread and butter pud!

So we have done NOTHING but shop this week end. We bought cam his first trendy jeans from Guess - we bought age 3 and its tight on the bum and too long, but he folded them up at the bottom and they still look cool and they are the shredded style so will all his climbing and falling, they should last! we also bought him his first nike takkies - dh just went on about them for the last 3 months - must have one pair! so who am i to argue - so now he has pep shoes and nike!! ha ha

Also went shopping for me and I managed to get loads of stuff from cameroon. I wish i had style, but i dont really so i told the lady to JUST SORT ME OUT! we went through all the racks and she made recommendations, and i tried things on i wouldnt usuallly go for and it worked out really well! Can you believe cameroon have cool jeans for R280~!

Vix - why dont you load the list of stuff you still need for the twins and we can all see if we are willing to help out with anything?? I have loads of things i dont mind lending to you..as long as you understand if i suddenly need them, then i will ask for them. Also, you know somewhere along the line we will spoil you, so its good to help with the practical things so that you can get less..

Cam is sleeping so im about to be a couch potato.. LOVE IT!

Vix - glad you went to bed last night sooner than later so that i dint have to shout at you!!

Enjoy your afternoon gals!

Ally- I knew when he went down at 3pm that I was going to have a hellish evening but he was so tired and irritable. Weekends always go a bit wonky because Elwyn will only get up about 10/11 and then C wants to spend time with him so he misses his usual midday nap but that's Elwyns problem now because I made him do a lot of the taking to bed and running around, I love being pregnant, I can pick and choose my chores! LOL

You're so good to be organised! And so generous when it comes to gifts, I remember your friends hamper, wow so pretty! I'm doing the same as you but for myself LOL Everytime I go to Dischem and see certain baby stuff specials I just buy buy buy, their own brand bum cream is great and they had it on special for R17 per big tub which is half price of even itself never mind probably a 3rd of bennetts so I took quite a few. I already have enough maternity pads to survive (I think, I wonder, actually I'm sure I'll bleed more after twins because of the 2 placenta's) I am intent on BF the twins for as long as possible so I started buying breast pads, 1 box a month so I should have about 6-8 boxes when the babies come, what else..... The babies bedroom is our spare room but it's already full full full of nappies and toiletries I'm picking up all over the place LOL I can't bring myself to buy clothes yet, I want to know the sexes first because my girl will be pink pink pink if I have one and Nelria has a whole crate of Lea's clothes for me. But all that said when I look at the hideously long list I still have I feel a bit defeated, I wonder if there will really be time to organise for twins LOL

C has abandoned his high chair, he just climbs out now and then refuses to eat more so I'll have to get a plastic chair and he can eat on the coffee table. So I had a major scrub down, wow does a high chair get dirty! I bleached everything back to white and I'll just make a nice new seat cover and it'll be good as new for the twins.

Mmm I made 2 huge banana loafs just now, thankfully they taste nice. C was on the counter helping me stir, I turned my back to get the eggs and C decided to open the spice jar of meat tenderiser and add it to the mix LOL so I managed to scoop out most of the meat tenderiser and add some maple syrup to try and disguise any extra salty taste from C's accident. It actually tastes really nice so I can't complain LOL

HI mommies.

Vix, I don't let the twins sleep until later than 3 now. I get so incredibly irritated when they are up after 8 that it's just not worth it. I ruin my whole evening by getting upset.

Went shopping again this morning with Abi. HAd to get them each another 2 tracksuits and a pair of pj's. Also got a lot of baby stuff on sale for all the babies popping out all over the place. 2 of my very close friends, my cousin's friend (shame she's only 19 and she has like NO money, her parents are willing to help) so I'm starting to stock up for the 3 babyshowers early next year! I'm also going to get the Your Baby newborn guide for each of them. THe rest of their hampers will be made up of spoegdoeks, bibs, wipes and some products. I'm going to look for specials now to buy all their freakin stuff!

ANyway, family coming here now for lunch.

So depressed that schools start again this week. No more late sleep for me, up at 7 every morning! :( So not my idea of fun. This whole holiday we've been sleeping till 8/9. My stupid brother needs to get his freakin license now.

Lisha- your tart sounds nice....receipe please?

Simone- he finally went to sleep at 9.20, the thing with C is the more he stays awake be it running around, playing or even watching tv the less he wants to sleep, so I actually have to take him to bed and tell him off everytime he sits up, but he's getting clever, he pretends he's asleep then as soon as I leave the room he comes walking in the lounge demanding his Daddy. He's not normally bad, it's just because he slept til so late this afternoon.

Leigh- I forgot to say, I do think all MA will pay for snip even hospital plan bevause it saves them paying out for any further pregnancies which for birth can cost up to R25,000 not including consultations throughout pregnancy. In total C cost us R40,000 without any ICU or expensive scans. Now if a MA has to pay that out every year or even every 2 years they'll actually end up loosing.

O.k, going to sleep now before Mandy pops in and tells me off for getting no rest LOL

Xxxxxx

Lisha it was actually so lovely. I could easily have the whole dish!lol. U can make it in 5 min and I'm sure u have everything in the house.

What's in your tart? Sounds interesting!

Shreyan ok after the shots?

Vix C still awake? I was so annoyed...dh gone to soccer...so I had to put Addy to sleep. After lying on bed with her for 20min I decided to try the rocking sh1t.,..i was annoyed as I was doing it...to a point where I wanted to drop her or throw her somewhere! I just hate that we've gone so backwards! So I put her in cot to cry a bit so I could calm down.

My sister said to let her run around for a bit....then about 9pm she went to sit on Vannah's lap and fell asleep in 5min. So if ever stuck with her again at bed time...i'll do that.

I'm terribly impatient and she senses it so it makes her even more awake. but really its Gerard I should drop or throw somewhere! This is all his fault!

Vix I guess u are right...people may think we are to many ladies to get to know. I must say though...i think we're incredibly welcoming! I rarely even read other threads, but I once went into a 7de laan group...and not one person even acknowledged me.

Ooh love this topic about the 'snip' etc. DH and I haven't really ever discussed it but I'd say that if I was expecting my 3rd child we'd consider it ... For now I agree with Nelria's plan on possibly being on contraception till menopause.

Leigh I'm also thrilled that u are enjoying chatting to us.

Simone how I am wishing for your bread pudding now ... I like it with the raisins though...

I have a savoury sort of tart (indian name is lagan) in the oven at the moment. Smelling very nice and will be perfect for breakfast (I hope).
