Morning Mummies,

Wow you did a lot of chatting yesterday!!!! I'll try and remember as much as I can but I know I'm going to miss out loads lol.

Leigh - Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay. 3 girls? Everything must be pink in your house ;) And wow on the cakes, that's some serious talent :)

Lelani - I hope you get things sorted with DH, it makes everything so uncomfortable when there's fighting.

Angie - Congrats on your win! Its exactly what you and DH need, don't stress about CJ he will be fine and you and DH can get some much needed pampering and some QT together :) Next time someone sends me one of those emails I'll make sure I send it on lol ;)

Nicole - By the sounds of it most of us here did our weddings on a budget and we all had fantastic weddings so yours will be no different. Yay on finding a dress :silly:  B)

Yikes...I'm already hitting a blank...

Angelique - Hope Cole feels better soon.

Lisha - Good luck with the jabs...

OK Now I'm done, sorry, I can't remember anymore lol!

Ladies who've had the FA, is it done on a different machine or something? I'm not sure if I have one or not lol. Two of my scans with the gynae cost more (R1200, ouch! at 12 weeks and 20weeks) and I've never quite sussed out why (and haven't thought to ask lol). He does it on the same machine but it takes longer and is a bit more in depth. He's already checked for hare lip and every scan I go to he zooms in on the heart and shows us the four chambers and looks at the valves etc etc, looks at the kidneys, bladder and other stuff I can't remember right now (his machine also does 4d and he does that at every scan as well, a scary sight at 12weeks, it looks like a little alien with pointy ears lol). I suppose I should pay more attention to what I'm actually paying for...

AFM - My poor little tyke has the worst nappy rash ever :( He's extremely irritable with it (who can blame him) and I have absolutely no idea what's caused it as he hasn't eaten anything out of the ordinary. Yesterday I had one green poo nappy to change and one yellow runny nappy and then one that was a runny fart with a few crusties (sorry TMI lol). His bum had been fine all day but then about 4pm he was playing outside when he just started crying so I ran out thinking he must've fallen over but he was standing clutching at his nappy. I quickly scooped him up and went to change him and his poor little bottom was red raw. He was so sore he wouldn't even sit down in the bath last night :( Like I say he hasn't had anything weird to eat so I'm wondering if its a reaction to his injection...would be weird if it was though...

Anyways, I'm off to shower and then I'll be taking the monster to the mall, might see if I can get his haircut, daddy needs to get on with some stuff on the house so it'll be easie if we're out of the way.

Tomorrow I think we're going to take him to the zoo :) Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Nicole- I agree with Nelria, just because you're doing things on a budhet doesn't mean the wedding won't be stunning! And Kierans Birthday doesn't really require so much money does it? I thought you got the venue for R250? Ask Granny to make the birthday cake and make the goody bags out of cheapie toys and sweets because let's face it, 2 year olds won't know they're cheap sweets. You don't need to supply food for the adults, they can feed themselves before the 2hr party! Chill, whatever money you have left after the wedding there will be enough for Keirans birthday. If you can't afford expensive birthday presents then just get some small things and spoil him at Christmas. I promise you he won't notice a lack of expensive presents. We didn't get C a present for his 1st birthday because we got thStChristopher and for Christmas we just bought a R50 truck and he loved that truck more than any present he got from anyone.

Leigh- can't see bigger girls pics!

Mandy- when you confirm numbers for the papachinos booking will you move the time to 9am for those of us that will be there early? Thanks!

galooooooooo ladies

cool cakes leigh

I am also not having party for lea - as I am still sticking to my guns once she can remember them I will start throwing them - i liked the school one last year so will just do goodie bags again :)

vis - I had FA with both mine (R910) singleton price and no did not see gynae that mnth - I saw him at 16 then the FA is between 18-22wk so i stretched to 22wks then saw gynae again at 30 so i made up gynae's prices with a stretch - my gynae wont take no for FA as he says even more important than down syndrome tests - as they look for small complications that might mean life or death for example holes in the heart, lung development, hare lips, blood flow, birth defects, brain development etc - why i say life or death is if a heart problem s found a specialis need to be on standby for delivery and if u dont know of defect child could very well die or brain damage etc

leigh - want pics of bigger ones too

nicole - go for budget stuff girl - cut on list, make own invite's, shop around for flowers, go with boet for pics etc - your day will be great and doesnt need to cost a fortune to do it

leigh - why dont u give her 1st growth it works out cheaper as u only use 3 scoops - u can get minute can to test?

ok very hungry now so brain not functioning as i catch up only during feeds as the rest of the time I am busy with unisa :) so xen is snoring now and i hear lea is almost down and dad making russian and chips so mmmmmmmmmm going to eat now :)

I have actually followed Rosemary Conley - she is also low GI and less than 5%fat per 100g. Thing is....sadly I lost my aunt/godmother a couple of weeks ago to pancreatic cancer. I lost 10kgs this year but when she went into ICU 3 months ago - I put on 4kgs. And I just haven't gotten back on the bandwagon yet. There's just so much else on in my life to look after myself. I find it hard to have ME time and plan my meals. But I will get there again - to goal weight.

Leigh- that's coming from the woman who's icing cup cakes in between contractions LOL

Have you tried a low GI diet? I know quite a few ladies who have lost a lot of weight eating Low GI food and it's not really too picky and difficult to prepare. I am trying it out now and it's been really easy to swap my normal ingredients for Low GI versions, like long grain rice I swapped for Basmati rice, less red meat more lean chicken and even lean Bacon is low GI! I was quite surprised!

No. No no no no...oh and did I say no? ;)
After Charlene I only felt broody after 2 months. WIth Renee I was still in the birthing pool and I said I could have another. But after Erin - I think she was my most painful and that was that. She was the only one I had very painful contractions still while holding her and delivering the placenta. And she was painful getting out. Newborn babies are LOVELY but my body has had enough.

And now I have to figure out how to get back to prepregnancy weight so that I can figure out how to love my body again - so that I can find my husband in the bedroom again.
