Well Vix, we'll see about the cresche thing. Right now we can't afford it but that's because we don't have time to work during the day because of the twins. Once they are in cresche until 3 everyday, we'll have so much time to work. That's why we want to save so that we know for 3 months it's covered.

My 2 always lied flat in the twin pram I had. It was a back to front and if you put both seats down flat it would be like a carry cot. That's how we had them for the first 3 months. Then we got the stroller. The stroller cost I think R1500. And although that's expensive, it's a stunning stroller. Really durable and we've had it for more than a year now and it's still as good as new.
It's also really light and folds up very small.

Pfairy, glad you enjoyed it but it sure sounds like you worked very hard! Please send me the recipe for the choc pud. Would love to make it! :)

o vix.... you make me broody now. I want twins NOW. I can remember with mia, because I was so big from the beginning, I was sure it was twins. I always talked about the babies. I told the dr to make sure there isn't two. I believed that till 16 weeks.....

we had my dad's birthday party last night. Sjoe, I was so tired. we made 3 pots. we went shopping for the ingredients at 10 yesterday. mia was an absolute nightmare in PnP. I wanted to give her away, for free for anyone... (one now the nightmare is sitting like an angel on my lap and giving my kisses and hugs). I started 11 oclock to prepare for the potjies. the first guests arrive at 3 oclock. I made a big malva pudding and a death by chocolate pudding - delicious. And bake 2 BIG breads. with my mom's homemade jam. and did the people enjoy that. there were about 20 people. I forgot to make Gluwein. after they went home, I load the first round of dishes in the dishwasher. I was so tired last night. just fell on the bed and.... I couldn't sleep. at 2 o clock I drank a sleeping pill. and slept till 8 o clock. I was so suprised: hubby, mia and xander cleaned up the whole house. all the dishes was done. everything was so clean and on its place. I just love my hubby.

and BTW: Mia don't sleep anymore during the day.... for the last 2 or 3 weeks now. that is tiring me during the weekend.

Ally- it would be very nice for you if you can put the twins in creche. You'll have so much more time for your foodie stuff! I am totally making your brownies today because soon i am going on a low GI diet and I don't think they will be allowed LOL

I took out my single pram to see what i can do to make it work for the twins. I think it will work for maybe the first few months then i will just go straight over to a twin stroller. I just want them to lay flat in the pram for the first few months. My pram when flat has a length of 84cm and is wide so I'm sure they can lay side by side comfortably and they'll probably enjoy the closeness. I'm going to give it a try anyway, it'll cost me nothing and if i really need a twin pram I'll buy one when they get here. So for now I'll just get a twin stroller because that at least I'll use for a couple of years.

C is now pushing the pram around the garden. he can barely reach the handle but he is insistant on doing it alone, really cute! I think now is the time to teach him to care for his boy doll 'paul', oh heck maybe i should get a cheaper girl doll just so he has 2 babies aswell LOL

I have taught C to kiss my tummy twice each time now because there are 2 babies, well it's a start on learning to count LOL

I can't believe i let you girls talk me into believing that second blob was a yolk sac. LOL i took out the first scan last night and clear as day i can see it's 2 babies, funny how you look at something with different eyes when you know for sure LOL I'll re post a picture when i find my damn camera........now when did i have it last...........

Vix, the In the Womb: Multiples is AMAZING!! We also watched it when I found out I was pregnant (we watched in on National Geographic channel though). It was really magical and it got me very excited too! :)

Yesterday the twins' routine was so messed up. We left home at 10h30 and they slept for 30 mins in the car, didn't have their nap at 13h00 and then slept for 30 mins at 17h00 on the way back again. So they didn't sleep too great but I expected it. Luckily we have a very relaxed day today so hopefully this afternoon I can have a nice nap.

C took his car to the Autofair at Menlyn Retail Park now and as he parked it, two guys approached him to buy it. So hopefully we will be rid of the thing this week. He pays R2500 a month for a car we NEVER use. We will then try to save that much every month so we can put them in cresche in Jan. Imagine that! I will be so happy.

Nelria- did those drops work to dry up Xen's nose? Sorry forgot to ask yesterday.

Elwyn is taking us to go buy in the womb multiples DVD today, I can't wait! And yes that is a hint of excitement for twins!

Vix firstly please dont apologies, you having twins is so more exciting than a wedding, belive me!! just read through all your post and man i can totally understand why you would feel a bit scared, down etc, Its a huge responsibility, but you are also a strong, dertimed, wonderful and fanstastic mommy and person, so you will get through it!! C will also be old enough to "help" with the little things so he can feel involved to in the whole process. I am glad that you are going to stop baby bear so you can get some well derserved rest before babies arrive. ((hugs)) to you.

Mandy scary re: Cam getting out the cot!! I can imagine what a fright you must of gotten!!

Helen so cool that you are starting to feel baba!!

Nelria how are Xen and Lea?

Having a good weekend this side, K has been cute. tonight we got chinese and now chilling watching Harry Potter.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Mandy- wow, when these babys want out of bed they will really make a plan. I must say for me the transition into a bed has been hugely benneficial, I sleep so much better, he doesn't wake Elwyn screaming, he just comes walking to bed and calls 'mama mama' I take him back and he sleeps tile morning. Naps are great too because I don't bother listening out for him, he just gets up when he's finished and starts to play.

Thanks for all your thoughts Mandy. I'm only exhausted because I didn't sleep well last night, this pregnancy has been way easier than with C which is why I never thought it would be twins, everyone says you should be puking x2 and sleepingx2 but actually it's not even half of what it was like with C. Funny things our bodies.

Nelria- that would really be great if I can borrow some things like car seat etc, I will gladly re cover as thank you for the loan. I really do wish I lived closer just for the coffee and chats, I'm not going to be leaving the house too often at first that's for sure. We're trying to decide if I will sell my car. I can't go grocery shopping alone with C and Twins so Elwyn will take me in the Bakkie each month, I won't be just nipping to the spar for bread when I run out.

Elwyn and I have been non stop talking as you can Imagine, I have been close to tears a few times but actually just being honest is really helping me calm down. I feel loads better today but it feels like a week agao we found out LOL

I hope everyone is having a a great weekend!
