Hey ladies

Cols - Em's fave is also "mommy, what you doing?" and even better: "Mommy, whats Emmy doing?" THe other day she looked at her daddy with a very serious face and said: "Papa, why is Emily so naughty now pappa?"

As for potty training, Em is fully potty trained - no more nappies at all, not even at night or when we go out - we are completely nappyless now - its great.

Joybaby - you have to come and share your good news here as well. :)

Girly, shame hun you're really having a tough time. My sister swore by eglynol, she said it took the edge off... How was Kaylee's echo? I dont know how evan will take it, he is very possessive over me and very ma vas. I got my UIF for Evan in the December - the week of Christmas, I thought I'd been paid by my company twice! I'm sure you'll love being in your own space again.

Kerry, I'm glad you're feeling better. How's your MS? Sho you girls are lucky with such good girls potty training. Evan still has accidents so I keep him in a nappy because he gets stubborn and wont pee in the toilet. He wont sit on the loo to wee, only stand so I dont know how I will get him pooping in the loo.

AFM, Work is hectiv at the moment. I had an exhausting weekend, I had a big scare on Saturday but thankfully baba is doing well :) Evan's favourite thing to say at the moment "Mommy, what you doing?". I get it non stop :)

yeah bleeding stopped while still in hospital, then bled a bit again on the monday after a bowel movement and nothing since then, so i guess it was low progesterone. Or the antibiotics cured it. Now its just to wait till the next scan on the 13th and after that we will likely go down to one 200mg progestrone thingie each night instead of one in the morning and one at night. Still not allowed to carry K or lift anything heavy and must rest wherever possible, also not allowed to bath or swim, only shower! (whats up with that)

Hoping we also see the gender at the next scan as i would loooove to know for christmas... as an extra present, but its only a 16 week scan, so not really that likely.

Sounds like you have been having a really really rough time, so sorry Kaylee has been so sick, really hope things go well for you today as it would be horrible to have to have her in hospital and recovery over this period! Shame man poor little angel!

I also had eglynol with Kaelyn, when i went back to work i needed help with the milk so doctor prescribed a mild dose, reconed it was likely just the extra stress, i feel your pain though you have really been through the washer these last few weeks, don't feel bad about it!

Kaelyn also has the potty training thing nailed, such a blessing, i still put a nappy on at night coz i really really don't like leaving it to chance, but more often than not its dry so we re-use it a few times. we were out at a new shopping centre on the weekend and she told daddy she needed a wee, so off we went in search of the nearest toilet, thinking she wasn't gonna make it as we had no idea where it was.... she gave us more than enough time to find the toilets, which were quite far... then she even walked in and chose which toiled she wanted to use and messed around a bit before her wee... such a big big girl!

This morning DH picked her up out of the bed to take her to Granny and grampy's only to ask me if i had forgotten to put a nappy on last night... on closer inspection i had... she was dry (thankfully) but WOW!!! :-)

Cols how are you doing?
When is your scan booked for? Can't wait to hear!!!

Kerry so glad everything is okay. Are you still bleeding?
What is the next step?

Re Christmas gifts - our list is as follows:
2 sided puzzles (Really awesome - sold by our friends at sykcastle games (www)
Disney movies; Kids make up (she loves doing lipstick and nails); Doctor set; Dora costume & towel; kids laptop with games (colour screen as a lot of these black & white), princess tent, slide, outside toys.

Hectic this side. Kaylee was in hospital last weekend with borderline pneumonia which we thankfully caught in time. Came home Monday and she's much better. But I kept her home monday and tuesday and fetched her early on Wednesday and yesterday from school - I just couldn't cope with both of them all day as Rei becomes overstimulated so easily and if I dont get her down at the right time it will be a 2-3 hour battle which means I cant focus on K, but then she doesnt like if I must focus 20 mins to get Rei down so I miss the chance, and its a vicious cycle.
Rei not really colicky anymore, the cramps much better, but ja overstimulation can mean hours of battles which even when just the two of us is exhausting.
I have gotten a script for eglynol which I will get tomorrow. Just feel I need a little help through this newborn stage it's been especially challenging the last week!!!

Tried to get vaccinations done yesterday for 6 weeks, but they didnt have the previnar government stock even though I phoned after 5pm the day before to ask if they did (apparently only had 2 emergency ones left, they failed to tell me). So we were going to do just the others and as we got into the room found out they couldnt as she was 1 day shy of 6 weeks and they're not allowed to.
She is a big girl, I'm expecting between 5 - 5.5kgs which is a lot! She was 4.5kgs 2 weeks ago. She is drinking less now (or quicker) and sometimes only from one side, especially at night. So we still land up with 3hourly stretches at night. Sometimes she drops the first evening feed but not always. Waiting patiently for some longer stretches. Although I can handle waking up just for feeds, it's the waking up and staying awake that I can't handle.
Still breastfeeding exclusively. But bought a pigeon teat to test on K's pigeon bottles to see if she'll take them, and she took it without issue - I expressed about 50mls milk which she downed. So will be buying bottles and starting to express feeds this weekend so that I can hand her over (especially last feed before bed time) so I can spend more time with Kaylee at night.
Once back at work I still need to decide / figure out if I'll be able to express 3 times a day. I'd really like to but the pump is so loud and dont really have any private place to do so. But I know it'll be good for both of us.

Kaylee has her heart echo on Monday morning. I am very anxious about this. I hate not knowing what is going on. At least after the scan we'll know whether we are headed for more surgery soon or whether we can relax a little. Obviously hoping it's not necessary, as it would have to be done quickly if needed, and fall over this festive season as I need to be able to start work on 1st Feb latest. (My colleague goes off on 1st March for maternity and I am still learning so a lot of pressure once back - hence may go back a week or two early just depending (with a sore heart).

She is too cute at the moment. Speaking full sentences and able to ask questions and make very specific requests. Potty is going so well, she is fully trained now.
Doesnt really leak at night, and goes to the potty straight away in the mornings. But we keep the nappie on at night cos she has a bottle of pediasure at bed time so she could still have an accident. Still weighs under 10kgs but is well.
Rather bored of her toys, so pretty glad its Christmas time so she'll get some new ones. She sleeps very well at night, and goes down with hardly a fight, just takes some time to wind down which is understandable.

UIF money may only get once back at work. Hoping to use it towards a deposit on the house we're going to rent. Hoping to rent a 3 bedroom closer to work so we save on fuel and can pay that difference towards rent, and save time on the daily commute and add to quality time at home. If we get this lumpsum in Feb (closes over Christmas so doubtful we'll see it before then) then we could look at our own place by 1st April :)

Anyways, better get some sleep before little missy wakes up!

Do keep updating :)

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.
