aggh, we wont go on weekend and walk around, especially we have K now. one of us will go in just to buy the nappies.

K is still taking no.3 premium care and at dischem we got them for R109 2 weeks ago ...i think. much cheaper than baby city or anywhere else i seen. it was pack of 60

i need to get bigger tupperwares, for k food, i bought mine from baby city, BPA free ones, they like R25 each for little ones. now i can only fit 10 teaspoons of food there, pureed food. so K will increase to more spoons next week.

they good, seal very well, i make her food the night before for lunch and dinner. put them in fridge.

has anyone ever worked out the "baby budget" since you have a baby. eg, per month, what you actually spend on nappies, formula, wet wipes, toiletries, clothes, veggies, meat for them....

I seriously need to start that again... i need to spoil myself. everything is K K K...

need to go do my hair when paid, my highlights are shocking - ha ha

PM, so sorry, funerals are terrible and of course this one is going to be awful for you. I wish the day goes fast for you so that soon it is over.

Sher, I went to the expo yesterday. I bought pampers premiums and normal pampers - they were quite a good price - 2 packs of size 4 premiums for R225 (1 x free wipes) and 2 x 82 packs normals for R320 (1 x free wipes). Bennets bum creme is R70 for 2 x 300g tubs so that was pretty good too.
And I got lots of organic snackie food things that seemed to be a little cheaper than normal (although still quite pricy but he's so small they last forever).

MAM bottles are at a really good price - R99 for 3 - they're normally R80 a bottle. I got a pack for a friend who is due end of June. And Fisher Price toys are marked down quite nicely too.

Its worth going I think, although I'm not brave enough to go on the weekend, and I certainly won't subject DH to that kind of crowd and queues, he really hates it
I'm really lucky I can go on the thurs or fri - I got there at 9:30 yesterday morning and left just after 11:00 - when I left there was a queue of people (mostly women) going out the door!

Wow, Johnny has not really discovered any of our stuff yet, although I did find him pulling on the tv cable the other day and yesterday he had a mouthful of rose petals from my mother's day flowers when I turned my back for a second. So I guess its starting... hehe

Pink Mommy you are right three Kids is a problem, you are going to have to miss someones thing on saturday...

Sher... sounds very much like K... she loves pulling things off the shelves... but i don't mind it keeps her occupied. She pulls all the DVD's off the TV unit and i put them all back at least three times a night... she just won't play with her own toys... its the DVD's or she goes for the dogs water bowl or shell climb the stairs (She does it like a champ now)

I take her to our bedroom at the bottom of the house take my shoes off put on my slippers and leave her there... so she will follow me up the passage and back to the lounge... theres three steps in the passage but they don't hold her back.

its not so much going up that worries me though... going down? i try show her but she just crawls away.... Ah well

Anyways its friday the 13th so at wwork today we are having a "bowties, broaches and hats day" Lol itll be quite interesting to see people dressed up. Not to mention hot dogs at lunch YAAY

thoughts with you on the funeral, i hate funerals, could be anyones and I will cry...

your one sounds like mine, mine used to open and close cupboard drawers 2 mnths ago. i close all the room doors now in the house, as she goes to the bath and play hide and seek. also takes DH CD's and DVD's and plays with it and stands up against the tv cabinet and chucks them on the floor and then sits down and plays a little while and then moves onto something else, i swear she is like lightening, here one sec and poof, gone the next. i need to find something to close the lower kitchen cupboard drawers, i just dont want her jamming her fingers. i am always watching her but you never know.

she takes her bumbo chair and picks it up and flips it over etc. where she gets the strength i really dont know, she is so tiny....

true what they say, dynamites comes in small packages.

anyone going to the baby expo this weekend ? they really do have cheap nappies, i went first time before K was born and we got some bargains on the nappies....

Later today is the joint funeral. There was a huge artical and pic in the newspaper yesterday about Candice and Mark. Ai, my heart is just so sore. I am so not looking forward to the funeral. It's like a really bad bad dream. I'm looking at the dress I was going to wear to the wedding and realising there's not going to be one. I just don't have big girl panties to handle this one.

Iz is better, seems whatever it was is staying at a snotnose. Maybe it's teeth? I'll take her to the doc if she still has a runny nose later today. Still no actual crawling. Lots of standing on her hands and knees and leopard crawling. She's got quite an extensive vocab...Pappa, baba, oupa, mamma. Though the 'baba' I think is more Barney!

My baby LOVES Barney! I have 5 Afrikaans Barney's and 6 English Barney's.

I HATE Iz's walking ring! Man, that thing makes me run. And she thinks chasing you is real fun. My feet and legs are so bruised from her running into me. Oh my word can that little missy get up to michief. She opens my kitchen drawers, the dustbin, throws the cd's out the rack, anything that dangles off the diningroom table gets yanked off. Her campcot is now standing in her 'play area'. And it has a rack where you can put stuff in, she stands on her tippy toes to take the stuff out.

I came the the conclusion I might have too many kids.....saturday Abby has ballet, Grace got Hockey and Iz got a bday party all at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems the season for colds quite a few of the babies are sick, but i am sure Willem will be better soon

Okay, been trying to reply for three days, and always half-way through a LONG post, I get distracted by work - so just a quick update:

Re the crawling - DH's cousin's LG is two days older than Willem, and not crawling - yet she was ahead of him in other areas of development. Every baby is different

Girly, hope your first day went fine, and that K enjoyed herself!

So - Mother's Day... DH remembered Mothers day - both our mothers got something...
BUT - He forgot that I'm a mother too!!!
So, he had to make it up for me with a BIG bag of tumbles, and he made supper

Willems been sick the last few days - runny nose and bit of a cough. But not too stressed yet. Nose running clear, and no real fever - so just a cold it seems.
DH panicked though - two mornings in a row Willem threw up right after drinking - mostly slime.
Last night I put a pillow under his mattress so that he sleep elevated, and no problems this morning.

MIL took him to the clinic sister, and she advised her to give him some natural antiboitics and cough syrup.
Septogard and Kofcare.
I'm a but concerned about the kofcare - since it contains honey . One the one hand, you expect the clinic sister to know if its safe or not, on the other hand, I thought NO honey till 1 year.
