Hi you all,

Still major crying going on around here. :( I am busy making the favours Candice was making for the wedding. Her mom want to hand it out at the funeral with a photo of her and Mark.

Iz started having a blocked nose at 12 last night....by this morning we had fullblown yellow snot running all over the show accompanied by a cough. (Sorry tmi) Seems my childs' flu's is on steroids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She goes from zero to SICK is 0.25 seconds! I am so scared we end up the same as last time. I gave her Demazin this morning.

My kids have gone to their dad for the week, as their other baby sister was born sunday night. I miss them so much!

Evan is such a brave little man!

Girly, enjoy your last day home with K!

Kerry, I feel like the worst mom ever, cause I forever gets stuck doing stuff for someone! And it leaves me with little time for Iz to focus on her crawling. I vowed on saturday that I'm saying NO to any and everyone from now on, cause I got stuck making a birthday card for FIL, and everyone is just pawning all their stuff on me. I tried saying no to the beading, but no one listened and I got the job regardless.

Sorry for venting, but I am just gatvol of being taken for granted. I did not even get a little not on Mothersday! I am so pissed of with DH.

Anyway, no use in feeling sorry for myself, let me do some beading while little missy is sleeping.

PM - So very very sorry for your loss... Just bear with Iz, i am sure she is just feeling everyones Glum mood. she will crawl when she is ready just enjoy all the pre-crawling time you have left, believe me once she is there you will wish she wasn't crawling.

Sheesh i put her in the lounge go to the kitchen to stir the pot, turn around and pop shes gone...

shes climbed 4 stept and gone into the study, fetch her out there bring her back put her in the lounge play a bit, go to check on supper... shes now at the dogs water dish in the kitchen... or the birdcage in the passage... nothing stops her!

And dont dare try the campcot... she hates that move... doesn't want to play with her toys, just crawl or walk

The crying spells i can only bet are frustration because she knows she can crawl and wants to, but she just isn't there yet... they too will pass soon! Just stay strong and try enjoy your precious moments with her... all to soon all our little ones will be gown up!

Cols - so very very glad to hear that Evan is feeling so much better! Im pretty sure with the grommets in now its the best he has felt in a while!

OMW PM, i am SO SORRY for your loss :'( That is so tragic...

Girly, what fantastic news about your new job!

Evan is getting closer to crawling - it's coming :)

Evan was such a trooper today. he was so well behaved and was making friends with everyone. He passed out in the car on the way home from the hospital and is still sleeping. Poor angel. Lets hope this puts an end to the the ear infections...

Kerry I really hope things go better with MIL...

Hi guys,

I just don't know where to start....

Right now I would just like to cry and never stop.

Iz is still not crawling properly, I dunno when that will ever happen. And she still has these crying spells sometimes, which looks more like she's fighting not to sleep. I envy your LO's feeding schedules. Iz just has her cereal in the morning, the her fruit puree in the afternoon and her veg and lamb or chicken puree at night. I can't give her anything cause she cramps. I found chippies that is MSG and all the bad stuff free. But it stains her clothes! Back to biltong and rice cakes.

So if you on Facebook, you've seen that our family has once again been thrown into heartache and pain. Dh's cousin and her fiancee passed away in a car crash yesterday. 3 weeks before their wedding. It's the 2nd cousin that passes away. First it was DH's brother Sidney and now Candice and Mark. Everyone is reliving Sidney's death. She so looked forward for everyone to see the wedding she has planned. And now we'll never see it. It's just soooooo unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, let me run, Iz is crying.

Girly - Yeah still struggling with the MIL... honestly i am starting to think that she is trying to get us to take Kaelyn away from her so she doesn't have to admit she cant cope ans we look like the bad guys.

Kaelyn also loves her friend in the mirror... but she knows its a reflection coz if i walk up behind her while shes playing she turns around and comes to me. :-) We have mirror doors on our cupboards in the bedroom so she can stand and play with her baba.

She looooves waving... her fairy god mom babysitted her during the March school holidays and taught her, since then shes been waving at everyone and everything... its cute though shes now learning to shout if the person she is waving to doesn't wave back... so she gets complete strangers joining in... lol. She does spread smiles though... my word!

Congrats on the Job. I am glad you finally found something! Try to enjoy your last days at home rather than stressing about going back to work, i promise that while it is bad it is okay after a few days. you always get to go home to her and i promise she will greet you with a smile that will make everything okay! :-)

Well it seems My little one is growing up tooo fast... this weekend she learnt she can climb sets of stairs... last weekend she got up one stair and that was enough... this weekend she took on the whole set of three stairs... OMW was i shocked (and impressed) i seriously never thought she would do it! (DH was behing her in case of a catch situation) and she followed me.

And she dropped down to only now having three 250ml feeds a day... on saturday she skipped then 10am feed and on sunday she skipped the 3pm feed, i wonder if she will keep at it?

anyways i better get to work!

Have a great day ladies

Hi Girly

Im sure you will find work soon, just enjoy the baby while you can, i miss mine so much once i got back to work...

her name is Kiara. far too active. only thing is my one does not sleep through. i wish she would but i guess she takes after me, I am a light sleeper, its just the way it is. I wont change her for the world. she is so good in walking and even my mom said at the end of 6 months K had been taking steps along the furniture, another thing she takes after, we were also walking early but not that early...

you know we all mention K ... how many of us have babies starting with K..... ? :)

Hey ladies

Happy mothers day for Sunday!!! I think most of us are first timers. Hope you all get spoilt!

Sorry for being MIA. I read every day but with Kaylee around I dont get time to reply.

Cols sorry about the grommets and the operation. It's never nice to see them go in for an operation but its probably more traumatic for you as the mom. As someone said you'll see huge improvement after the grommets though, and just be prepared that you'll probably have to have them replaced for a few years. My SIL had them until she was 6 or 7. She also had issues with croup so not lekker.

Jeanine & Cols & Kerry, such stunning photo's lately! Cant believe how big they all getting now!

Charnenay sorry to hear that Emily is also sick :( And Babyzee with Fayaz too. Shame man, its an awful time of year and I dont know about Joburg but Cpt cant make up its mind whether its summer or winter.

Welcome Sher. Your baby sounds more advanced than some of ours. What is her name?

Kerry really considering a creche? Still struggling with MIL listening to you? Shame man thats not lekker :(
Wow K eats a lot! If I give K the stage 2 bottle she finishes it, but stage 3 she doesnt even have half. But she also eats so much slower with the 3's cos they so much more textured. I buy 3 cos its cheaper, but I land up throwing a third away cos it doesnt stay in the fridge that long once opened.
I am now cooking extra at night and keeping for her for supper most nights, I just blend a bit if I have to, but she's eating very nicely on her own. Loves tuna & cheese, enjoyed her beef & rice last night, gonna make spag bol this weekend. Some days she eats a lot other days (like today) very little again.

Sorry for those I'm missing. I cant remember beyond the first page.

Kaylee is now a fully fledged crawler. Goes by herself into the other rooms of the house and is always on a mission. But she had 3 falls today, cos she thinks she can stand without holding onto something, lets go and then down she goes. She also pulled herself up against the laundry basket but managed to pull it with her weight and she and the basket went tumbling down. Mostly I dont react, I just grab her sshhh her and try distract her, mostly with her best friend in the mirror. Her favourite thing to do is stand in front of the dresser, bang her hands on the counter while talking and laughing with her friend in the mirror its too cute. She also has this glum closed mouth smile she's been doing and its too special. Also learning to wave so today we were out at the shops and a lady waved at her and she waved back, I was so proud!!!

But shew its become very tiring now. Cos I cant trust her alone, but she puts up a big fight if I stop her from going somewhere, so I have to let her learn a bit on her own and then deal with the crying / moaning other times. Nap times seem to be changing too. She has an early morning nap about an hour after waking up, then goes 3 hrs between her naps and sometimes skips her afternoon nap altogether. She did this yesterday, I bathed her at 5, fed her supper at 6, picked her up and she started falling asleep in my arms, so I put her on her tummy in her cot and she sang herself to sleep within minutes.
Today is different again, she was too tired to stay awake so went down for a nap now at just past 5 and is still sleeping an hour later. Not sure if she's just napping or what, but if she wakes up now we're going to have a very busy evening still!

Okay so for those who havent been on facebook, I start a new job on Wednesday!!!
I went for an interview about 3 weeks ago, really wasnt expecting to hear back after not hearing for so long. They called me yesterday to ask if I wanted the job. There was a bit of salary negotiation but eventually they met my minimum and I accepted. It's in Brackenfell - about 10kms from home. Its an 8 month contract till 31st January doing bookkeeping / admin. It's a lot more junior than I was doing before, but they will probably make use of me elsewhere too. There is prospect to become permanent if I do well, but elsewhere within the company as this is just a maternity position. But we have an understanding that I will be continuing to look for permanent work and if I find something suitable I have to give 7 working days notice, which suits me just fine. The salary doesnt quite meet our needs but since I can continue looking for something else, and still get an income it is good for now. I know that the Lord has a bigger plan for me and that its not mine to stress about the money now. I have been tremendously blessed by people I hardly know, and I have no doubt He will provide.

I'm also rather sad about it all. I mean I've been looking for work since Jan so I knew this day was coming, but the idea of leaving Kaylee with someone during the day and not getting to see her just sucks big time! I think its much harder having been home this long. I've been home for 9 months already!
I also have to stop breastfeeding during the day. I'm only giving 2 feeds a day anyway so its not too bad but will be interesting. Will still breastfeed at night and before I leave for work though.
So I went to buy some non feeding bra's today and its so nice to have some underwire on! Also bought a few new work clothes for winter since my more fitted clothes look awful at the moment.
Its nice that they are fairly casual, so allow jeans as long as its still smart looking. I bought a stunning pair of black jeans and some nice long smart tops to go with it. Was nice to find proper fitting clothes in this bigger size but still depresses me.

I'm joining weight watchers tomorrow, actually paying them and going for weekly weigh ins. I really need to lose 20-30kgs and I need to be accountable. I ask DH to help me but get upset when he does so that doesnt help. Also not being at home during the day and being limited by what I can eat at work will also help that as thats my current downfall and I'll try get to gym a bit more too. Oh yes, nice hours 8-4:30 and to 4 on fridays so I'll be home by a decent time to spend time with Kaylee and prepare supper etc.

Anyway sorry for my very selfish post. Thats what happens when you only post once a week.
I guess from next week I'll have to catch up purely at night as I wont be able to use the internet at work during the day, although they seem fairly relaxed I dont want to take advantage.

Anyway have a good weekend everybody!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.
