Kerry I just love it

when she was about 4 months, for some reason when she was crawling, her leggings was coming down her bum/legs as she was crawling, she looked under and she packed up laughing, its like she knows "something wrong with this pic"

then I laughed, she laughed even more. i must tell you she knows the word NO for few months already. i point a finger at K and go NO. she just laughs. think is funny even if i have a straight face.

so I live in jhb. did any of you guys have a moomie meet yet ?

who is taking of K for you Kerry ? nanny or creche ? how is it going

Oh no Cols - best of luck at the PAED - I really really hope that you come right! Poor Evan!

The weekend of 21/22 DH is working... but the weekend after 28/29 is good?


sher don't you just love that little Laugh? Kaelyn is also a happy smiley baby... will smile and wave at anyone! Came in to my office with me last week for an hour or so and every time someone walked past my office she crawled after them... she followed two of my colleagues on their way to the kitchen, the office messanger, those two colleagues on their way bak and a few other innocent bystanders...

even followed me to the printer and back a few times lol

K just turned 7 months, she was sitting with support at 3 months, sitting on her own from 4... crawling perfectly then and back to sitting position and so forth. had first tooth then too. but none since then !!! just one toofie from that time

she was standing up with support from 5 months, trying and then before she entered 6 months was doing it on her own. then by 6 mnths standin up on her own with support. she has been taking steps at the end of 6 months. she knew exactly how to come down from standing position, bends her knees and then on bum... then takes steps sidewards and forwards holding onto furniture etc. very active.

had been saying mama, dada, nana and baba all by 5 months, its just too cute to be called mama

she dances, boucnes on her bum, shakes her head from side to side. so she is all over the place and is in every room and is exploring, open cupboards and doors. only one thing, she is not sleeping through. wakes up once a night. she started solids at 6 months, no change. anyway. she is just too cute and is such a happy baby, smiles at anyone and everyone all the time, she laughs loud, has a good sense of humour.

Jeanine - I am loving your pics by the way!!! Too gorgeous! What a handsome boy!

Charn – how arrogant is that nurse! I would also be upset. As for weight, that sounds great Evan was 3.9kg at birth and now weighs somewhere over 9kg. I will have him weighed today at the paed. As for milk 3 – 4, 210ml bottles a day and still only has veggies at lunch and I attempt protein and veg at night.

PM – Yay on the braces being off. I am sure she is thrilled to have them off. Poor Iz, I really hope she feels better soon and you get some sleep! I meant to tell you was at fruitspot the other day and they have these cool board cut outs you can put your face in and take photos. They also had cactus cut outs etc for your Mexican party. They were well priced.. I don’t know if you have anything like that around your side of the world. Was also thinking you could make nachos and then have DIY tortilla making so you set out all the ingredients and everyone can make their own dinner / lunch? I found using my hand blender is the best for making the guacamole nice and smooth  Also put out tortilla chips and dips and margaritas / lemonade?? I am so glad to hear your mom is recovering well. Hopefully not much longer now.

Kerry – wow sounds like one hell of a process  Evan still doesn’t want to crawl despite all our best efforts. He runs riot in the walking ring though. I do hear you on the cream on hands thing. Just wondering if it’s only a boy thing that they do not leave it alone! I have to give Evan something to play with that requires both hands so I can change his nappy. He also kicks constantly. Loves banging on everything…

Jeanine – Yay on Willem’s 2nd tooth and on his cruising! That is brilliant! It is a flipin mission getting full cream yogurt… I finally got some at my spar, Squirillos brand. Evan loves that and I also get from Woolworths. You need to check the labels though because some of the kiddy yoghurts are still low fat :$ You can always mix in some pureed fruit into the plain yoghurt, that works well too. On proteins I actually started by mixing half a block of kiri or laughing cow full cream cheese wedges into his veggies. It worked really well for us.

My news… Well you wont believe it but my sister has given me a flash drive with tons of photos from Saturday on. Not all of them but at least a fair amount  I am so thrilled! Her ears must’ve been burning! Barry is still sick, dead and dying so he is restless at night and coughing up half a lung and just sounding terrible which wakes me up. Evan hasn’t been well since Tuesday night. He threw up every time I tried to feed him… So I finally got him to drink some rehydrate after the 3rd bath. Yesterday he was good at school all day, I even popped in to check in on him and he was eating well and doing great. I fetched him early and he took his bottle at 4. He was moaning and niggling from 5:00 I tried giving him dinner and he refused. I specially went and bought him the woolies pureed food cos everyone raves about it. This carried on until 6:30. Eventually I gave him a rice cake which he was loving. He then started pucking again. He eventually had 1 finger of toast and went to bed. He drank his bottle at 2 am. He woke up throughout the night screaming. He now has a really stuffy nose so at 3:30 I was wrestling him to put illiadin in his nose – I was not popular. 4:50am he woke up and would not settle. Eventually DH got up and took him downstairs so I could get some sleep. He took a bottle at 7:30 and all was good he was playing with DH, crawling (backwards), rolling around etc. We were on our way out the door and he started throwing up all over again! I am off to the paed this afternoon and we have the checkup with the ENT anyway tomorrow. I am suspecting he has an ear infection again because the fluid didn’t drain after the last one and the ENT said if he gets sick again he will almost definitely getting another one. Also the snot this am was that gross yellow / green colour. Evan’s shots are booked for next week Thursday, I am not looking forward to them  I will take him a treat though… Barry is writing exams next week so maybe I can get him to take him for the shots?? I hate it so much!

We must still organize another get together. I did offer my place and am still more than happy to do it there. When is good for everyone? The next 2 weeks are out for us but after that I am good 

Oh wow thinking slower than i am typing now... Janine i have a yellow nuk stage 2 dummy at home that little miss turned her nose up at. If you would like it you are more than welcome to it?

Janine - Take the plain full cream and mix it with fruit purity (or home made fruit purity i just call it all purity... lol)

K loves that... i also sometimes need to mix in a bit of honey flavour cereal to thicken it up - works tremendously well and she lapps that up like nobodys business!

on the walking along furniture K can pretty much go anywhere she likes... shes a pro, have even caught her diving from the table to the couch... lol

and its so cute when she wants to get down she sorta bends her knees and gets her bum as close to the floor as possible... has a quick look and then lets go...
