Hello ladies
Hey Sher, good idea to join our group, I hardly have time to post on the August thread these days, never mind going back and posting on the Sept thread too
Shame Charne, I HATE it when people jump to conclusions like that but its like Kerry says, everyone's an expert so just take it with a pinch of salt.
John was 3.8kg at birth and is now just over 9kg according to my home scale. We've only got the 9 month shots at the end of the month so will weigh him properly then.
He is now very happily playing on his tummy in half crawling mode and still moving backwards sometimes but most often spins around on his tummy. And he is reaching all over the place from a sitting position and often falling onto his tummy so I think the crawling will progress from there.
I am a terrible mother! He rolled off the bed last week when we were on holiday! I was in the loo and I just heard this terrible ~thunk~ and then "Waaaaaaaaaaah". Shame my poor boy. But I couldn't even see a mark on his head or anywhere so I think it was more of a shock for him than anything else.
Ah Jeanine shame your poor mom, my mom broke her ankle about 10 years ago in a similar way. Its not cool, especially for moms who are used to being on the go. Hopefully the 6 weeks pass quickly for her.
Hmmmm, what else? Holiday was superb, was very depressed to be back in the big smoke but feeling better now, especially since I haven't had much work this week so can ease into things slowly again.
John's top 2 teeth have cut through so he is now on 4 teeth! They have only cut through though, they haven't come down yet so they are hard to see.
Luckily I can still change his nappy in the compactum but its a bit of a circus act with all the kicking going on - he has always been a kicker though, in fact he is more expressive with his legs than he is with his arms
Girly, so proud of little Kaylee and all her amazing progress, she is one special little girl

And I love your hair! I think I'm still too chicken to go that short though. I will probably cut in a fringe or something and have layers cut in to get rid of the thickness, I feel like an amish woman with my long thick hair, soooooo boring!
Shame Cols and BabyZee, sorry to hear your boys are not well again. Poor things. I hope they both feel better soon. Cols, at least you are already going to the doctors so they can check him out. Love your pics from Delta park - he is such a cute boy

And Jeanine, that pic of Willem with the beeeg eyes, such a cutie pie.
I am keen for another meet - we are probably away the weekend of the 28th though so maybe we/ I can make the next one. Simon is also writing exams next week and he started his new job on Tuesday.
While we were on holiday John dropped his 4th bottle so now he is on 3 bottle a day - 225ml each - and he generally finishes them all now (before he wasn't finishing his 2 day bottles).
His schedule is something along these lines:
6:30/ 7:00 formula 225ml
9:00/ 9:30 honey cerelac (but I put in 2 scoops of formula even though the cerelac has milk in - this it to 'up' his protein)
11:00/ 11:30 snack (yogurt - Woolies full cream, rice rusk, rice cakes, teething biscuits etc and juice/ tea
12:30ish fruit or meat and veg/ pasta/ rice or cheese wedge (laughing cow full cream)/ cream cheese mixed with veg/ pasta/ rice
2:00/ 2:30 formula bottle 225ml
5:00 - 6:00 purity half a jar (sometimes the full jar) 2nd stage or meat and veg/ pasta/ rice or cheese wedge/ cream cheese
6:00 - 7:00 formula bottle 225ml
He also eats off my plate alot - I just mash it with my fingers and he has a piece of toast with cream cheese every now and then as lunch or dinner. He doesn't always eat the quantities above, he seems to have one day where he's hungry and eats more then the next day he eats less. Sometimes we skip the snacks.
On the weekend I bought him 2 of those Woolies pureed baby foods as a special treat - oh my word! Spag bol and lamb and veggies. I said to Simon if we had pots of money John could eat that every day - fit for a King I say
