Girly - Evan's at creche.. I have him on the creche guard imune booster and I give him 5 ruetri drops in his bottle every morning.

I stopped the meds yesterday as Evan's been on various meds for 2 weeks now. I noticed he sounded a bit weezy again this morning when we got to creche. Do you think I should just monitor it and let his body fight it off or should I put him back on the decongestant, cough mixture etc? He finished his antibiotics almost 2 weeks ago.

Evan's routine is still flexible but it goes a bit like this:

5am 210ml milk
8am cereal
160 - 210ml milk during the morning
10am biscuit (creche started introducing this this week so we'll see)
12pm mashed veggies
160 - 210ml milk during the afternoon
3pm fruit / fruit & yoghurt
6pm veggies and either chicken/beef/lamb or cream cheese
7pm 210ml milk

he also drinks water throughout the day...

DH and I briefly chatted about how many more this morning but I have definitely gotten him to put off the idea of # 2 straight away. I have a very high risk of a twin pregnancy so I said if # 2 pregnancy isnt twins there will be no # 3. He said if # 3 ends up as twins we'll just have to cope with a big family. I said are you prepared to get up and help me through the night with 2??? Because I cannot manage 2 at once. Gave him some food for thought. ;)

DH wanted me pregnant right after Evan was born and I said I refuse to even think about it before he's 1. I think I will start trying next year.

Evan had me up from 4-5am this morning! I gave him his bottle @ 5 and he went back down until 8am :) I totally over slept and only woke up @ 7:30am. He only got to school@ 8:30am :p He didnt seem to mind though. Got to work @ 9. Thankfully that's the normal starting time here unless I have meetings... I need to leave early today because I need to get his teacher and nannies valentines gifts for tomorrow and I need more formula etc...

WOW!
Kaelyns routine is very very different and much much shorter

3:30am - Milk - breast fed
7:30am - Milk - 230ml
10am - Cereal (100ml milk)
1:30pm - Milk - 230ml
5:30pm - home made veg - purity if we're out and then gets offered water after
7pm - milk - Breastfed
Sleep till 3:30

She loves the solids and gobbles up 100mls of milk with her cereal or a full jar of purity, i just found thet in the last week or so her poos were getting a little too hard for my liking even though we hadnt introduced anything new, so i have not offered her a third meal even though i had intended to this week.

Then again she's only 6 months on the 26th.

Hi ladies..

How are all of you??

Not even gonna try and catch up... Been ages since i read and there are to many post to catch up!!!

Re the biscuits - I only give Armand the teething biscuits and he loves it!!! Speaking of teeth.... My little boy has 6 teeth already!!! All 4 on top and 2 at the bottom. The 7th one is very close, the tooth just next to the bottom one. He is such a good boy! 3 on top came out at once and the 4th one on top came out about 3 days ago. He is such a good boy!!!! Only had fever one evening, gave panado and no hassle further!! We are very Blessed!!

Also, we are on a very nice routine regarding solids...
6am - milk 150ml
8am - cereal
10am - milk 150ml
12am - mixed veggies (sometimes with lamb or beef)
2pm - milk 150ml
3:30pm - fruit
5:30pm - mixed veggies (sometimes with lamb or beef)
6pm - milk 150ml
9:30pm - milk 150ml
and then he sleeps through until 6 am..
He loves his fruit, but his veggies is sometimes still a struggle. I give him purity. Works better for me than to cook all the veggies ect. Not one for cooking, and i think purity is really not that bad!

Went for his 6mnts check up last Thursday. Dr very happy!! Praise God for a healthy little boy!!!

So ladies.... any one gonna be preggies again soon??? :P
I don't know when we will have nr 2, but i really don't think i'm ready now!! BUT, if God thinks we are ready, we are ready!!

Girly - why temporary profile??? How is it going with the weight loss? Struggling to loose this last 1.5kg's...

I have a wedding next Friday - VERY VERY formal - and i'm not happy with my weight!!! Any ideas on how to loose this last 1.5kg's before then?????

Hope you all have a fab day!!
Blessings to you all!!
x

Charnenay is Emily still teething?
I am thinking about buying the teething necklace but just dont have R200 to spare now :( Spending about R2000 unbudgeted money this month and come end of feb my retrenchment money is gone and we're going into the bond to pay for things :(
You have had lots of luck with competitions! but shows just how gorgeous your little girl is!
I never know of the competitions and by the time I find out they are already closed :( Could do with some luck.

I read that you shouldnt introduce yoghurt before 7 months?

NikkiP lol! We had a small moomie gettogether on Saturday for Carmen's baby shower (Capi on Jan forum). Connor & Kaylee were friends when we were still TTC :) He's such a cutie pie!

I give Kaylee Vidaylin multivit which is what they gave her after her op. Just went off the iron one and now give the normal one. She doesnt like it though but I try give it every day. Also reuteri drops although very hard to administer - dischem have a big special on them till this weekend. And also zymaflor flouride drops - but only half of what the instructions say as per paed advice, so only 2 drops, in her cereal. the probiotic can be given in the same way.

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Hi girls

Re the huggies, there was a thread on the go a while back where everyone was complaining about the new huggies. Many complained to huggies who advised there was something to do with the last import and they took back closed packs and replaced them with vouchers for more huggies. A lot of these people have now moved over to pampers!

Cols shame that Evan was sick. really glad hes feeling better now. Is he at a daycare or who looks after him during the day?

Re the biscuits I'm offering K Ollie and purity teething biscuits. But primarily to teach her to hold and bring it to her mouth, and for different textures.
Yesterday I gave her a piece of mango. I put it in one of those teething feeding bags with the holes in them and she loved it!
Also bought baby biltong from Boesmanland next to pick n pay in tygervalley. Think theyre also in canal walk. Only prob is they drop on the floor often.
Charnenay have not heard of those rusks and definitely not seen them in the shops. Will go take a look at checkers soon. Also seen that woolies sell nice organic ricecakes that crumble easily so perfect to avoid chocking!

Hi Cols - I have the Anabel Karmel book, it really is great!
They have recipes for babies, cute ideas for toddlers and even nice family meals

I am going to try complain to Huggies re their no.3 but will look for any old packs I can find (are those the lighter green packs?)
I get great discounts on Huggies & Pampers from Toys R Us on Discovery, so there's no point getting any other makes

I actually ordered 3 of these (for me, sis & sil). Think they're lovely. Not sure if anyone would be interested.
