Hey mommies
Mina moo hope you're enjoying your day at home before going back to work

And happy 3 months to your little one! She is so adorable!
What are you doing for her cold? K has a bit of a flemy chest

I bought vidaylin drops for her, and someone recommended putting eucalyptus drops in her humidifer but I am so scared of her getting a cold. She's been healthy till now.
Darn UIF! Maybe you need to find out why they've not paid - maybe something wrong with your paperwork? I went with Tums2Mums and expecting my 3rd payment this week coming.
M2J and Kerry you guys are way stronger than me. It melts my heart when she cries, esp when there are tears down her cheeks.
The doctor told us on Friday that K is probably a sensory child. Which means she needs rocking / swaying / touch to go to sleep and you cant just put her down and walk out the room, she will cry even more for being left alone. This is our personal experience. I think one has to consider each child and their personality to determine how to treat them. I dont like the idea of her blood pressure rising by all the crying she'd do to eventually fall asleep from pure exhaustion. Her heart is still a concern to me. I want her to go down calmly even if that means an extra 10 or 15minutes of rocking her in my arms. But hey, thats just me

Sounds like your little one is of a similar personality though. Loves interaction with people, and not one to be left alone. I love that about K though, a real personality trait.
Eileen so glad you came right about the reflux / colic.
Charnenay sounds like our challenges are much the same

Wednesdays when the cleaner is here I try to get out, as the noise just disrupts K's sleep. But she really struggles with going out too cos she just wants to stay awake so we often have hassles once home.
Dont you guys just live for weekends! Just so dad can take her in the morning and I can have a bit of a lie in. Yesterday K slept till 8:30 (with her usual feeds) and I went to bed at 9:30 the night before so I probably got around 10hrs sleep alltogether! Felt so rested. But this morning she was up at 6:30 and it was my morning to take her, so I struggled a bit. Now she's down for a nap so I really should be sleeping, but we're about to have lunch, I am on moomie (addict!) and I need to work on my cv
So we took K for an EEG and to see a nurologist on Friday.
The last few weeks, about an hour after her 4 / 5 am feed she starts moving her head from side to side and making noises. She stays asleep and it doesnt appear to bother her, but I was starting to worry cos my little 4yr old cousin was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. So I emailed my paed. And the minute he saw the chance of seizures (although an email explanation isnt the best) he referred us straight away to a nurologist who referred us to an eeg technician. The speed with which it all happened really scared us a great deal! Only found out after that its cause of her young age. If she was older they wouldve left it a few days. Apparently they treat it so seriously that both the technician and the nurologist came in specially - as they dont usually work on a Friday afternoon.
So we got the all clear. Having seen us after she said that if she'd heard our explanation she wouldn't have sent us for the EEG as the type of sidewards head turning, no matter how much is not considered to fit into fits / seizure symptoms. But I'm glad we went as now our minds are at ease about it and we can relax some. But what a stressful 2 days it was!
Righty lunch time now!
