Hello all!

These days combing hair and taking a bath is considered a good day! Had to laugh at my daughter yesterday, we went to change our Will, so I tried to look half respectable, and straightened my hair, when she saw me she asked if I'd been to the salon? Cause there's no way I could've done it with Iz. Izibella starting crying non stop during the day last thursday. Apparently colic. It breaks my heart seeing her cry like that. I really do not mind walking up and down the whole day with her, as long as she doesn't cry.

I'm also using Tums2Mums, Vanessa is an absolute angel! I had trouble with my company getting the correct documents signed, an she handled it for me.

Charnenay, I'm so glad I'm not the only one parking the swing in the bathroom while I bath!

Good luck with the revamping Girly! I've had my fair share the past 2 years! We redid our Kitchen, put in a pool and lapa, built a extra room, refurnished the girls' rooms, and put in new tiles everywhere. NO MORE! ...at least for now...

read the link and tried it this morning, but as I sais, I am too much of a softy :(

It's nap time again and she is in her baby carrier on my chest :( and I have cleaning service here today, so no way she is going to sleep through the noise unless she is on my chest :( Not sure how I am going to shower today. Might just have a bath and put her in her swing with me in the bathroom - might just be wishful thinking though....

Kerry, glad to hear that you have less crying in your house :) it's awesome when they behaving themselves. Emily is soooo well behaved, but my ONLY challenge is getting her to take naps during the day. She is so content in her baby carrier right now, but I'm really not sure how my back is going to cope with this everyday!!!

Kerry, I tried the "letting her cry" thing and it only lasted for 2 minutes, I am WAYYYY too much of a softie :) I KNOW I am creating bad habits by letting her fall asleep on my lap, but I can't help it :( We still struggling during the day, she REFUSES to sleep!!! She will sleep on my lap, but the minute I go and put her down, she is wide awake again. So, as a result, I have a way, way, way overtired baby by 4PM and then she starts nagging and is extremely fussy until she eventually goes to sleep at 8

DH went to a meeting tonight, so I went out for dinner with my sister and her family, but Emily was not a happy chappy when we got home :( eventually fell asleep at 8:30, but not happily so I'm not sure if she will stay asleep for the night :(

Aaarg telkom sucks our internet was down for a week! nevermind fixed now

Girly - you can do it without the dummy too... just go in the room an rub her back till she stops crying... maybe put her hands together, thats how kaelyn self soothes witout the dummy. i only do it after her bath... but in the day if she doesnt want to sit in her rocker and i need to shower or such i will do it while i get whatever needs doing done... it hurts to hear her cry... but she soon gets the hint

If it helps in my opinion youre doing too much for little one and shes becoming ore and more reliant on your sleeptime antics. maybe give it a week.... put her in her crib, let her cry for 2 minutes go in, pick her up cuddle her and put her down, stay till shes calm and walk out. it cant hurt her to cry if shes fed and clean... I saw something good the other night while i was fighting my insomnia... try it

Mines awake and happy most of the day... occasionally gets miff so i put her in my carrier on my tummy and hang washing... if she cries i let her or give dummy... but i guess shes sleeping too well at night... up to 7 hours some nights... 5and a half guaranteed. oh and to help with the night sleep thing i dont put her in her crib at all in the day... shes in her swing in the lounge with me... or the pram...or whatevers handy...

oh the nappies are much better now.... only a biggie every 4 days or so paed says breast babies can go up to 7 days... long as the poo is still soft when it does come theres no issue... :-) but its real bad when she does it.

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick pop by, i do read the posts its just so hard to get time to respond with a baby and a toddler, i am so jelous that some of you are meeting and sharing, wish i could do the same but i am all the way in the Southern Suburbs i would love to go the to belville meet but its too far for me.

I am however going for the Indaba on Friday my LG LOVES Barney and thats the main reason i am going.

BabyKsmom my son i the same re:the poo i used to have every diaper, a poo diaber but now its once a day and its explosive and runny i have to change his outfit after as it goes all the way to his back, the clinic sister says its fine though for breastfed babies.

Girly so glad you are getting aircon i have ceiling fans that help alot especially since i sleep with the baby it gets really hot. I am all for the meet it would be lovely to get together with our babies, its a little bit far for me but one days drive is fine.

I got a nanny thats really great she is mature and has four kids of her own, i feel so free i get to leave the house and not worry, i can only be gone for 3hrs at a time coz my boy has refused the bottle i have tried all sorts and still nothing i dont know what i will do when i go back to work, my leave ends 02 Dec but my boss wants me to go earlier, i dont want to go back ever but we cannot afford things otherwise. :(

On a lighter tone i took Fayaz for this 10wks injection last week and so far he weight 6.68kgs :cheer: he is already on 3-6 clothes and number 3 diapers, i am a happy mommie

Girly, little Kaylee is also very adorable :). Amazing how different they are and how you can already see their little personalities. Looks like K is going to be a feisty little girl (I love it)!! Emily is more relaxed and a little lady type (hope she knows how to stand up for herself though!) LOL

Day times are somedays a struggle for us - Emily has no problem at all falling asleep - its getting her to stay asleep after I put her down that's the problem. She is happy to sleep on mommy's lap all day now - weird because a few weeks ago, she did not want to be held at all when she was tired! Night times, she goes down pretty easy always at 8 (its like clockwork!!), then most nights she stays asleep until 6:30AMish now.

I bought the Jeep Baby carrier yesterday and we went shopping today, so she was in it most of the day - she LOVES it. Exactly what she wants - to have her afternoon nap attached to mommy!!! So guess I'll be spending my days like that - must say she gets pretty heavy after a while and it almost feels as if I am pregnant again!! I love the Jeep one because I don't need any help getting her in and out and it's pretty easy to put on (some of these carriers get really complicated!)

Girly, you and K can come and visit anytime, we can "swop" for a few minutes and I can try and get her to sleep while you play with Emily :) I LOVE that Kaylee is still so cute and cuddly like an infant - Emily was only like that for 4 weeks tops.

I am in for the visit, this week is fine for me, but I don't know that everyone is checking the thread anymore - it's very quiet here :(
