August-September 2010 Moms

Robyn, looks like we are in the same boat... my next gynea appointment is on the 25th... and doctor was almost certain i wouldn't make it till then. She will most likely make plans to force me along if i havent by then as my placenta was showing signs of degradation at the last appointment so i can't go overdue.

No other problems, just the hip pain at night... it hurts something terrible... last night i thought i would try a suggestion a colleague gave me a while ago... she said i should try taking the calcium tablets before bed.... and i must admit though it wasnt a completely toss and turn free night it was much much better!

My colleagues e-mail me every day to check that i am still hanging in here.... and i get at least three phone calls a day asking if i had popped yet... i almost want to respond to that with "well did hubby phone you yet.. no? then leave me be" but i know they are just super excited so i leave it be...

The bonus on my side is everyone answers my phone calls in two rings or less... lol!

Anyway have a good day everyone! and Best wishes to Girly, i am sure everything will be fine... God got you this far he will get you the rest of the way! Trust in him.

Hi ladies.
Sorry for being MIA - had a hectic last week of work training my temp and working til 19h00 every night!!!
But I'm now a lady of leisure ... well, at least til bubs comes (hopefully still on the 31st)

Went for my 38wk scan on Thurs - I've picked up a total of 11kgs so far. D weighs just under 3kg and her head is engaged, so doc says she can come at any time now, but hopefully not before I've had my 2 wks mat leave first. And doc only wants to see me on the 27th again as everything has gone so well (if I'm still preggie then!)

Still feeling very good - no trips to the loo at night, no heartburn, no BH, just sore hips at night

Had a surprise shower at work on Wed - very sweet, loads of pressies and my last day on Fri, my boss was so sad - didn't want me to go (sweet, but not working on me!!)

Anyway, I can only post at night when dh brings the laptop home, but I'll keep you all posted - and hopefully not before the 31st!!

Wow Mommy2J, that sounds simply awful. I agree with Nikki P, name them and shame them. Those nurses and whoever trains them need a massive wake up call!
Thank God your little girl is fine and you are home with her now.
