August-September 2010 Moms

Nope it's the first baby... in fact the first grandchild on both sides... so there's tons of excitement and since both sets of grandmothers are sooo excited I already have a drawer full of clothes...

The due date is the 25th, but doc says i can expect anything from the 16th, and my ML only starts on the 13th so i have resorted to counting down the mornings i have left at work... once i am here (at work) i am okay though.

Oh i forgot i live in JHB

I get to see gynae on Wed again really like seeing Kaylee more often. But she still hasn't turned, so waiting to see what doc says, if he'll give her some more time before talking C.

Sleep is such an issue! Last night heartburn hit me for the first time while sleeping, that I actually woke up from it.
And my dreams are still filled with gift bags being passed around, from my baby shower last weekend! Finally seemed to fall asleep around 2:30 after taking some gaviscon, and using an extra pillow, but then up at 5:30 again with a major headache.
Only 2 weeks left at work, and hoping that next week I can work from home and lie in a bit in the mornings!
DH is home this week. Taking some last leave before he starts his new job, as besides for some paternity leave he will have to accumulate his leave again before he can get off. Rather jealous though, I'm having to tiptoe around the house this morning, doesnt help how loud this keyboard is though

Robyn we're getting the same compactum as you. Its quite a bit bigger than what we have, so had to rethink room layout again. But I cant wait to have everything unpacked! I definitely do not need any newborn - 3 month clothing Kaylee is spoilt!

Its going to be a girl, but daddy's tall and mommys short... so... we will see who she takes after, But at her 3d Scan she was all legs...

It's amazing... Everything is excellent on tax returns till something goes wrong, then no matter how hard you try it's almost impossible to fix it without threatening to behead someone... But good luck never the less i hope you come right

Kaylee is about a week smaller than average, in particular her legs & head. I asked doc if it means she'd be a week late and he recons it doesnt really, she might just be a bit smaller, but still a good weight around 3.3 - 3.5kgs at birth.

Haha I cant stand tax returns! Last year hubby registered for the first time, online. First sars come back saying they owe him 3k, then they reassess their own assessment (without our request) and come back saying no one owes the other, and then they reassess for a 3rd time and then suddenly he owes them 3k! He has just left it till now, but he ends his job end of the month. So he's going in next week to try sort it out.

I think first due date is 1st Aug - doesnt leave us much time for a meet
I'm honestly so exhausted, all I can do is laze around, but its rather frustrating at the same time as I wish I had some energy.

looks like i belong more here than on the September thread! Just came from the gynea and baby Kaelyn is 2.2kg's doc says she may come anytime from the 16th!! Oops i only booked my maternity leave from the 13th as we were expecting the 25th ish...

Oh well baby's looking all good... wouldn't sit still for the doc to do hear heart rate, but we got it eventually...

I guess maybe i should submit my tax return and hubby's... perhaps we can get a windfall too? would be excellent!

Meant to have extra ingredients to the over the counter stuff but at around R280 per bottle its pricey.
Make sure you ask for the pregnancy safe one - as there are 2 different ones, and we cant use the one with Vit A.
