girly it is the tiny love cotmobile and it is worth every cent spent on it. i've got the bright animals one. it plays different music and it last for 20mins and there is a night light! i love it!

can you believe lil armand is 2.9kg (o ja also got the sms after my post here). it is a stunning weight!

You can got the cot mobile from Baby City or Toys R Us for R550-R600
The compactum (Furnicraft) was R1800 (with the extra trimmings, towel rail)
BS is on 31 July, just over 2wks - really looking forward to it
It must be difficult not having a job to go back to, but at least you can spend as long as you want with bubs (and have a decent income while on ML)


My temp is starting 2 Aug and I have 2wks handover with her, then I'm off for 10months
I still have 4 spa treatments that I got for my birthday, so busy deciding when to book them (have booked a massage & pedi next Sat and am having a pre-natal massage on the morning of my shower - think I will leave the other pre-natal massage and mani til I'm on mat leave)

PS Eileen where do you stay? So intrigued!
At least you're not spending a fortune by limiting shop visits? I always spend too much.

So an update on my job - some of you might remember that about 2 months ago I was told they might close up SA office and take over the work from the UK. We've been waiting patiently to hear, and esp now that I need to apply for Maternity etc I was getting frustrated as they just never came back.
Well yesterday I was given a notice of intended retrenchment. Even though I was expecting it, it has come as quite a blow considering that I want to start ML in 2.5 weeks time.
They have offered a fairly acceptable package considering that which is required by law is peanuts, but they know well that the timing they cant really offer me the minimum. I will probably not be fighting them because at least I dont have to worry about cash during M/L and I am so tired of it all, been there 8 yrs now and need a change. Its just the prospect of going on m/l jobless, and knowing that I will have to find a job next year probably in a lower earning bracket scares me some.
Pregnancy hormones dont help, I am very emotional about it all. Makes me doubt my worth if I start somewhere else.
But I know that this is all in the Lord's will, and that He will not forsake us. But to try get my emotions in control now so that I can just rest is a bit challenging.
I am praying that I can find something that's closer to home / allows me more time as a mother, but that doesnt effect our living style. DH starts his job 1 Aug, and will be on 6months probation at the same time.

So ja. I would finish there 30th July - but probably ask for a few days off so that I can have time at home relaxing. I'm just so tired physically, thankfully boss allowing me to stay off today. I cant face the people at the office right now. I dont like being emotional around colleagues.

My inlaws have offered to buy us a new compactum - the same one you have as it matches our chest of drawers. What did you pay for it?

Doesnt it feel so strange to have a room ready, but yet no baby? The door stays closed mostly cos we dont want the cats in there.

When is ur shower? Hope you enjoyed your shopping I love registries but prepare yourself that people also buy what they think you need, so some things you can exchange for things you still need. Thankfully I only have a few newborn things to exchange which I picked up at sales earlier this year.

Agree - lying awake is rather different when your LO is with you, as there is a purpose to it.
I took the stilnox last night. Took over 2hrs to work, but has stayed in my system till now even! I have taken a day off work, and I woke up at 8, fell asleep till past 9, got back into bed and woke up at 11. And I could probably still be sleeping!
Think I'll try half a tablet and take it earlier tonight.

Elize sent SMS yesterday saying her scan went very well, and they are happy to keep Armand with her a few weeks more. Praise the Lord!

Robyn, awhhhh ur nursery looks amazing! One day when I'm big (hopefully before Izibella decides to come) mine will also look pretty like yours!

Wish we had a Babycity nearby....would've loved the registry idea. Now for fear of getting something I don't want, I end up buying everything myself when we go there (165km from us).
