So I was starting to panic again as Kaylee has been really quiet since Saturday.So I took my doppler out this morning, and got to hear her heartbeat loud & clear.
I dont know if she likes me using the doppler or not, but she started kicking quite profusely that eventually I had to stop cos I couldnt keep it steady. I cant wait to meet this little person!!!

Ditto on those moods. But as you say, its not long to go now. I was thinking this morning, I'm 28 weeks tomorrow which is 12 weeks to go. That means that in 6 weeks I'll have 6 weeks to go! Crikey!

Baby bath - everyone has different opinions. I'm conscious of bending over the bath too, but that seems a better option to me than the compactum's bath. What some people do in the very beginning is just buy a big bucket and put that on top of the compactum. And when a little older, go straight into the big bath with one of those bath chairs.
The other option for me would be the bath that clips onto the big bath. Havent decided yet. So yet something else to have to decide on!

For now I'm booking general ward. If money allows we'll change it to private - but remember its subject to availability, so sometimes even if you want that option you wont get it. Other times you might book general and its full and you'd land up in private
The yummy tummy is the best pregnancy invention I have gotten to date! And for R120, it helps extend your wardrobe.

I think we decided on next Sunday which is 6th June - 11AM at Nino's Canal Walk?
Maybe we need to exchange contact details so that we can be in touch in case someone cant make it.

We got our chest of drawers this weekend. Cant wait to pack it! The next 2 weeks we will be very busy getting the baby room emptied out, and then hopefully paint next weekend!

Ladies I still dont know what to do about bottles? What are your opinions?
For breastfeeding it seems the narrow neck bottles are the best (avent dont have narrow neck?); but other than that there isnt a whole lot of difference between the brands and everyone's opinion differs.

And for interest - what are your birth plans? Who is wanting natural / c - section?
I am optimistically hoping to go all natural, but I will not be stubborn about it. I will see how it goes and do what's best for Kaylee & me.

Only 3 weeks until Antenatal classes start!!!

Had a beautiful weekend with hubby and son did some gardening and shopping. Cant believe im 28 weeks already! Going for a check up tomorrow and cant wait to see how baby is doing.

About the get together Sunday would be adeal as Saturday's is always crazy mania for me and are you guys bringing you kids with might just leave Jude with Dad if it's just for moms really dont mind.

Girly, re: long hours. Some days I do just leave later and drive myself in (like today), only got here at 9:00 - much better than 6:00AM!!! But now I still have to face this afternoons traffic

Never got around to taking belly pics this weekend, will do it this evening and post tomorrow. Went to get my chair and baby's bath this weekend, so now I think I am finally done. just a few more little things that I will have to go and get, but first waiting to see what I get at the baby shower.

Re: baby's bath, what did you girls decide. This was the one thing that I just couldn't decide on. I don't like the compactum unit thing with the bath on top because the bath that fits in there has a weird shape thing in to allow baby to sit upright in which just doesn't work for a newborn and the bath is quite tiny. My nephew is 5 months old and already way too big for it. Then, I considered the one that clips over your own big bath, but not to keen on bending over that low if I am going to have a caesar. So, I eventually decided on the big bath that comes with the fold-up stand. It's not ideal because it also has a weird shape thing in it which I don't like, but at least it's not as small as the other one. Still not entirely convinced I made the right decision here though?

Mina Moo - so sorry to hear that DH had to leave again. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will find a job in CPT and be able to be here permanently with you and baby, I can't imagine what you must be going through.

As for hormones, they are kicking in big time on this side. I am very emotional for absolutely no reason, I cry for the silliest things and poor DH had to deal with a weeping wife in bed on Saturday night. Sunday morning, I really could not figure out what that was all about and I had to apologise to him. Shame, he was accused of being insensitive and goodness knows what else and he really is not!!! Well, 39 weeks tomorrow, so I told him he only has to deal with it for a few more weeks and that he should just comfort me and say he is sorry when I "throw tantrums" and not try to argue back, even if he has done nothing wrong

Well, ladies enjoy the day. I have a feeling it's going to be a long one for me....

Girly - furnicraft has quite nice thingys 'n they not too badly priced also...oh 'n does that yummy tummy band work?

Talking about wards, I was too contemplating on going private as u get a your bathroom but i'd rather save that extra for something else plus you will be in a ward with 3 other mommies 'n I doubt you'll be thinking much about how u look at that stage
I still need to book my room, want to sort this out next week 'n the gynae's fees, jeez, all i can say, discovery only pays 200% of the cover but i'll cross that bridge when I get there!

Ok, what has been decided, are we getting together still, 5th or 6th, morning, afternoon, at Nino's? Keep me posted...

Not sure what i'm gonna be doing today, need to get some more of my vitamins etc. 'n now i find it tiring to walk for looooong periods of time, not too mention sleeping at night!

Last Sunday was sooo sad for me when DH left, i just broke down at the airport, just getting harder 'n harder to see him cum 'n go, hope he finds his way back to us soon

The red mouth wash gargle stuff - yep!
Some gynaes opinions differ though, one will say yes the next no. But I trust mine.
Also got some stuff that comes in an asmah looking pump that can be used in mouth & nose with different attachments. It's antibacterial and you only spray once in 4 days.

I must've seemed like such a b*tch at the pharmacy last night, because I was so insistent that the doctor had told me about this specific spray and the lady still went to get andolex spray. I made her go back and read out the available sprays until I found the one he'd mentioned (a long, wierd name). But heck, I'm pg

I find I am a lot more irritable and short than usual. Kinda remind myself of my dad on his bad days

Off to Pilates now. Really not up for it, as I still have this sore throat, and now a post nasal drip, but for 2 weeks we couldnt get together and I messed her around a bit, so I cant drop it now.
And then we're going to DH grandparents 60th anniversary celebration at the old age home. They are so sweet. I want to be like then when I 'grow up' .
