Hey girls!

Seems the kiddo's (cant really call them babies anymore!) are growing up so darn fast!
Kerry and Robyn thanks for the gorgeous pics! Your girls are lovely!
K also LOVES drinking out of a sports bottle. We bought her one around 9 months, and she loves it. She drinks out of a juice box with a straw (apparently excellent for muscle and speech development) but not the straw bottles we have bought her.
She loves drinking out of my glass. And has started drinking a lot more water now too when thirsty.

FG did u get curtains? Since K started sleeping through more often than not (about a month ago), she now goes to bed between 7 & 7:30pm and wakes promptly between 6:00 and 6:30am and our room is very dark. So I hope the curtains make some difference to you but it hasnt to us.

BKM - good luck finding the job. Hopefully the fact that you're specialised will help in finding something excellent soon. Could you do it from home or would you be bound to an office? Is Little John still at home with you?

Kerry is K in a playschool / daymom now? How is that going?

Robyn the tantrums remain challenging! But its all developmental. We mostly try and distract Kaylee or help with whatever she's fighting with. But its hard for them, they dont understand.
Awesome that she's sleeping through now!

Are any of you on skype? I'd love to keep in touch more but it's really difficult.

FG sorry about the fall
K appears to be the cautious type like me. So she's doing lots of supportive walking, she walks against walls etc and is quite fast. her balance is becoming very good. I think she'll only let go once she's totally sure she'll be okay. Seriously so much like me in that regard!

Re Cape Town meet - I can contact Nikki / Liani / Mommy2monster (who is moving to PTA next year), Raquel and Kush on FB. So with Robyn, FG and me, that could make it 8 of us in total!
Could we possibly make it the 19th or 20th November rather? I am doing the discovery big walk with the company on the 13th, so I want to be a bit selfish with the 13th as a family day.
I would love to go to Stodels. Or I heard that klein joostenberg winefarm (I may have the name wrong) has picnic areas and a very fun outing for the kids, if the weather is nice. It's just outside of Kraaifontein, so not much further than stodels.

Just sneaking in a quick read at work (they monitor internet usage )

Will do personals at home when I get a chance (can read to far back, and I disabled pics at work)

Just noticed about the meet, I'm keen, both dates so far looks good to me, will just check with DH.

Hopefully I can fight DH for the PC tonight and then I can take my time and catch up on all the news . I've been meaning to for the past two weeks, and I'm forever too busy or too tired at night

Oh, i forgot the meet, let me just get DH's roster out...

DH's last exam is on the 9th, We are good for either the 12 & 13th or the 19th &20th, DH is working the next weekend.

YAAAY it's friday! (been a looong week)

Sheryl - yes they run everywhere, but the bonus is K has recently learned to back up to things and sit on them, so now she sees everything as a chair Hee hee and she is happy to wander off on her own and play in the garden, so i just keep an eye on what she is doing and i can cook supper / get things done. It's getting a little easier now. But hell don't take her grocery shopping with you, or to a restaurant... thats just purse and simply asking for trouble.

Kaelyn has been on the straw for a loong while now, we have moved on to those energade type bottles now... which she looves and she also goes moggy if you dring anything out a glass... she wants to try drinking, so now i take a glass of water for her whenever i fetch andy cup/mug from the kitchen.

Flowergirl - Sorry to hear about the fall, it happens to them all when they start walking don't stress. K also had a pretty nasty fall when she started, tripped over her teachers foot onto bricks. Had a scab on her forhean for about a week or so (just before her birthday too) Emily is too cute!

Robyn - Dakota is adorable! I am secretly jealous that she SITS in the water! K is waaayyy to busy for that, she prefers climbing in and out... Or finding things to dunk in it... (She has to find out if things sink or float i guess)

BabyK - Good luck with the Job application, will hold thumbs for you! I am sure things with DH's friends will be okay, just tell them they can only drink after John is in bed.

Robyn - such pretty pics - she is sooo cute.

DH and my mom are out shopping for curtains for Emily's room at the moment. We have thin white curtains in her room which I got because I didn't want her room to be too dark at night, but now the problem is that her room in the new house gets the sun VERY early in the morning, so she is up at 6!!! Not sure if she will like the dark curtains though because I guess she has become used to the light room at night, so will see how that goes.
