Hi Ladies

Flowergirl - I can understand the frustration - I have very little patience (yes, even with my own child!)
I really struggle to get D to eat with me - she just won't sit still for me to feed her and when I get frustrated, I start shouting and then DH 'comes to the rescue' and berates me (like I don't feel bad enough for being a horrible mommy - he just doesn't understand!! )

Thankfully there are no tantrums - Ouma is quite a hard lady and doesn't take no s*%t from no-one, least of all D

Kerry - I jotted down your quiche recipe - sounds yummy, and so easy (which I need!!)
so will def try it sometime
Oh, and what push tricyle do you have? I want to get one for D, but some of the ride-ons are ridiculous (R600)
I saw one on ToysRus website for R400 - an actual trike, not just a ride-on

No Flowergirl, John is not walking yet either and I don't see it happening for at least another month or two.

Quick question - is my child the only one not walking yet?

Thanks Kerry I think I might try those lactase drops for John and the quiche recipe. Sounds so easy and might get him to eat more egg, he's not a huge fan.

Flowergirl I know John is the same but I'm putting it down to being a bit spoilt after being sick last week, sometimes they get like that for a few days after they've been sick so maybe that's what Emily is doing. And he also only pushes me like that, although he does it to DH too but not as intensely. Its a mama thing I think. Drives us mad hey?
Ja lots of screeching/ screaming, crocodile tears crying. And yesterday we went for a walk and he screeched cos he wanted to get out the pram and crawl on the road, first time ever.

Ja Cols, I definitely need to go away - if not for a weekend then at least for a whole day! But DH has been better with the chores/ duties

Kerry I was going to say you should give K your old phone if you get a new one and the old one was still broken. I saw these toy phones at baby city that look just like real ones. Only thing is they don't switch on or anything and I think half the joy John finds in my phone is being able to see the picture of him when he clicks the big button

also try sitting on the floor so she can come to you when she wants things. That helps immensely with K too... or lying down even so she can climb on you...

Let DH take the chores duty for a day or two. and if he complains just demonstrate the Emily cries when you walk away.

she is just testing your limits, as i said K did it to me... it will pass, i promise. Just dont give in to her... i know the screams don't end then... but distraction is your best tool

I know i took k for a good few rides in her push tricicle... she just sita happily in that... but when you try take her out i am sure the neibours would think i am torturing her...

Thanks Kerry - just spoke to DH now and he says she stopped nagging immediately once I left this morning not sure why she is doing this when I am around

I could hear her babbling to her dolls in the background, I want to be in a good mood when I'm home too
