Liwa turned one on the second of September and not walking
by herself yet.Holds on to things but crawls very fast and can go
up the steps.

Personally I love the 2nd one with Willem in the grass. Its so bright and he looks too cute!

BabyK, Dont you just love it (their dancing)! Evan stands against things and then does this little jive and if he's sitting the arms go up and he does a bum bounce to the music He's also started singing is own songs - lalalalababababa in the car Let us know how the playgroup goes. I am sure he's going to have a blast! They are so curious and love exploring and interacting I'm glad you found somewhere so close! From your lips to Gods ears hey But it would be typical - every time I change jobs something happens. Last time was a big car accident and Barry and I got engaged - all in the space of the month! I am also so greatful that Evan is watched over - man the number of times my heart stops with him!

Kerry, OUCHA!!! That just sounds terrible! Like I said, Myprodol and soft food. Do you have a Happy Hugger or one of those microwave beanbags? It will help sooth the aching.. My wisdoms were also impacted. Luckily I only had top wisdoms. Also get andolex mouthwash it tastes better and actually numbs your whole mouth and is still a disinfectant. When my brother had his wisdoms out he got other HORRIBLE brown stuff. It was like rinsing your mouth with betadine. Andolex is available OTC. Will be thinking of you hun!!!

Evan's doing this wierd spider crawl / walk. his feet and hands are flat on the ground and his bum in the air and then he kind of walks / runs. It is wierd. I tried to film it a bit this morning. Will upload it tonight. Also when he crawls now the one leg goes into the "walking" position so he looks like he is trying to launch himself with his one leg. He also seems to be having seperation anxiety and tooth # 5 is in the gum now and pushing. Guess it'll take like another month to cut like the other 2! He - touch wood - is eating better. Though dinner is mashed for him. If he is feeding himself it can be normal but if I feed him it must be mashed. He took the spoon away from me the other night and was trying to feed himself his yoghurt Very cute!

Sorry been a bit MIA, will catch up later and do personals.
Been off sick for an entire week - with flu!!!
Started out as flu, got tablets. Four days later and still not better, doc says I got a secondary infection in my throat, so another 3 days off and antiboitics!!

Thought I would share a nice pic or 2 of willem (I have to print one for his great-granny for her birthday, she is getting a photo frame from all of us with photo's of her 5 great-grandkids), So I have been going out of my way to take a few nice pics.

Problem is now I can't decide which one to print

Cols - Yes the teeth, well they stopped hurting a while ago havent taken any meds in a while! Went to the Max facial surgeon this morning for the pre-surgery chat, and have done the medical aid pre-authorisation the hospital pre-booking... all is set for me to go in on friday afternoon. (Now that it no longet hurts of course). The doc says with my age the tooth roots will be larger and so it will hurt waayyy more than if i had had it done at a reasonable age! Not to mention my roots are very close to my jaws and sinus cavities so its gonna be a tough recovery. He told me he will book me off from friday to and including next wednesday oh my word!

Anyhow, somehow i am still not too bothered about it... i handle pain pretty well so i am not at all worried!

We keep K's school bag out of her reach for just that reason, unpacking is her favourite game... and on the washing machine and dishwasher she is constantly pressing the buttons... i don't mind her turning them on and off when they are empty but twice now she has turned the washing machine off in the middle of a load... and then of course you have to start it again! LOL Now i use the kiddi lock feature. Alternatively there is always my moms method of masking tape...

I filled Kaelyn's inflatable pool over the weekend for her as she LOVES playing in water... she wasn't impressed it was still too cold... our pool is only 16 though so i am not getting in myself yet... just a little longer and it should be warm enough

Good luck with the new position and i am oh so Jealus that you get to spend more time at home now, even if it is working!

On the breast cancer story its terrible my gran had a double mastectomy when i was in matric (she was i her late sixtys) and due to her blood pressure dropping she got a little bit of brain damage during the surgery. She came out convinced the cancer had spread to her brain... so much so she tried to commit suicide... when that didn't work they got her help, but she remained convinced and this triggered early onset elzheimers... she got so bad she was put in a nursing home and it wasn't long before she forgot how to swallow food, and got food in her lungs which caused Phnumonia and eventually her death. It was heartbreaking watching it and the day she died i felt such a relief for her that it was over!

Shame man its a terrible terrible thing! Sorry you probably didn't need me rather negative story here, but thing is all i can say is be there for your SIL, she will most definately need you more than you could ever think.

babyK - so cute on the dancing! I love when Kaelyn tries it... I have been desperately trying to get it on film but if the cameras out shes not interested

Sorry I've been a bit MIA, busy busy busy. Still haven't downloaded John's birthday pics. But I did have a bunch printed at Kodak, just don't have them online yet

I have a new report to do with my new client and they have a 3 week deadline so I had to make a decision quickly and decided to put John in the playgroup down the road from me. We went to have a look yesterday and I am very happy with the teacher and everything she has there. She is more used to children a little older than him but I'm sure he will be fine. I think he will thrive actually, he is so eager to learn and was so excited to see all the stuff yesterday. Its just 3 mornings a week when I am busy with work and if I have a lull in work then it will be one morning a week - the teacher is flexible and fine with this. And its within walking distance! I'm so happy.

All the pictures are lovely ladies, Sonay, shani is too beautiful. We went to friends for a braai on Sunday and I held their 7-month old daughter for ages, she is so cute. I got my fix of girl time! John was very good too, he saw I had another baby and he looked a little puzzled but he carried on crawling around and playing and singing and seemed quite secure. So proud of my little guy

Its so cute, he's started bopping to music, he likes the doof doof but he also likes classics like Pink Floyd - he sits and moves his whole body - and his rhythm is incredible, he gets it so right. And he has a serious look on his face, like a rocker when they're serious about the guitar playing or whatever. I must try get a photo. We filmed him for ages last night.

Thanks for making me feel better about the silica gel eating episode! Ja hey, these little things are like walking danger zones sometimes. Robyn, eek about the ribbon! But thats it exactly. I spend alot of time praising God that He is watching over John

PS: Cols - good luck with your role change! So great that you don't have to move to Linksfield. Now that you're in a nicer position at work, you'll probably fall pregnant You know how these things go... lol

Hey ladies, sorry i've been MIA.

How's everyone doing? Sher are you feeling a bit better? Kerry, how're the teeth? Jeanine, how's the job hunt going?? BabyK, has everything been resolved yet with that client??

OMW, these kids are getting hectic now! You really have to watch them constantly. Evan figured out how to open the grocery cupboard last night! He keeps switching the oven, dishwasher and washing machine on!! He is in EVERYTHING. He even unzips and unpacks his school bag.

Sonay, happy happy for your LG! She is beautiful!

Evan is cutting another tooth (#5). So the last 3 nights have been hectic.. He is getting so cute! He had his 1st dip in the pool on saturday and got to kick back on the lilo The water is already 21 degrees. It's still chilly but not bad.

I am changing roles at the end of the month. I will be working for the BU Manager for Middle East and Africa. I think it'll be very hectic but at least I wont be bored. Best is he is not stressed about my work location. His office is in Linksfield (32km from my house - double my current distance to work). It was so not going to happen!

SIL had her MRI on Monday and yesterday they put drains into her lymph nodes. She's got an appointment with the Dr on Saturday to get the full results and get the news on the treatment going forward. Have any of you read the book "Why I wore lipstick to my Mastectomy" or watched the movie "Lipstick". It showing on Universal channel at the moment. It is such an excellent story and really highlights what a woman goes through when she's diagnosed with breast cancer.
