Sorry for being MIA its been pretty hectic on my side. My brother and his wife passed on the same day, it not been easy on me. My apologies i cannot do any personals i have to read way back to get up to scratch with everyone.

Fayaz's bday was on the 10th i just bought a cake and took photos since my family is not around i couldnt have a big party, i will post the pics, i bought him a Pooh cake.
He is now walking very well and has been for a while now, he even kicks the ball. He has become very naughty and fights alot with his sister he keeps hitting her and takes whatever she is holding, i guess boys will be boys.

I have to dash now, but i promise to pop in soon.

Cols K drinks about the same... one drink in the early morning, one 250ml bottle at creche and then one at bedtime. It has been like this for at least three months, but now she is also suddely wanting the 2am bottle... i am at my wits end because she was sleeping though and now this has come from nowhere... wer are suddenly back to where we were in december regaring the sleeping.

I am struggling serious indecision about wether to give it to her as i don't want it to become a habbit! but i don't like the idea of starving her either!

I just cant do this middle of the night shift again!

and to add to this she is going thorough a stage where she doesn't want to go to sleep at night either so i am seriously getting hammered... i swear i see our dogs sleeping peacefuly and just want to wake them up because if i am not allowed to sleep why oh why should they be... its sooo not fair!

Sorry just ranting now, i will stop i promise it isn't as bad as i make out and while i am sure this will pass... i just want sleep... its almost weekend DH will let me sleep in on saturday at least

BabyK, shoo you really have a lot on the go I hope you had a lovely visit with your dad. It's a nice surprise.

Evan is drinking 225ml water with 3 scoops of Nido per bottle (per the tin instructions). He has wake up @ 5-6am, 12pm and bed time and at the moment 2am. He still drinks it from his bottle. I can get him to drink water and sometimes diluted fruit juice but not tea. He only drinks the school tea (and yes I have bought him the identical tea ). He loves his nido. Really it's the best he has ever drunk milk. He is gaining weight very well - he is now 11.05kg . I asked the nurse and she said it's normal and it will settle. I was so worried I was giving him too much milk...

He is eating a bit better too. Last night was mash, baked beans and tuna. Maybe he will eat more and drink less once this batch of teething is FINALLY over. Tooth # 4 is cutting through now.

In case I forget, happy birthday to Iz and Willem for Saturday!! Hope all the planning comes together really nicely, I'm sure both parties are going to be superb
Jeanine, sorry, I saw briefly that you invited us Jhb ladies, sorry that we can't make it. August is a busy month for us with family birthdays. Its my dads birthday today and my sister's b/f on Saturday so the weekend is full.

Candice, shame hun, measles huh? Poor Lily and poor mum. Hope you both recover quickly.
John still has his snotty nose and cold from last week and his fingers (or whatever he can get his hands on) are constantly in his mouth, near the back, so I think he is teething again. I guess its probably not going to stop until they are all through hey? lol He is drooling SO much again. I'm replacing bibs 4/5 times a day.

So Cols, how much milk does Evan usually drink? I am confused over this milk issue, I keep reading that we should be cutting down on milk now, so I have cut out J's afternoon bottle but increased the quantity in the morning and evening bottle. I hope I'm not starving him though. I have some nido which I will try when he turns 1 - does Evan like nido? It seems like that is more of a drink to put in a sippy or straw cup, do you put it in a bottle. John was drinking nicely from his straw cup but now seems to have gone off it again. He doesn't really like drinking water on its own or even rooibos on its own but I don't want to put fruit juice in all the time cos then he gets used to the sweet taste.

Oops, gotto run, my dad has just popped in for tea.
