Hi All,

i have not been on mommies for a while now.
glad everone is doing fine and the nunus are all growing, despite the ups and downs of flu.
well as for me, its me daugther's birthday today july 28th.
she started walking 3 weeks ago and loving everyone moment of it.

she really has been a good girl, eats very well and really really loves her pap.

Cols, I am so hearing you girl on the woes of Evan! Iz now has an oral thrush from all the antibiotics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite the fact that I laced about every second bottle with pro-B! EK IS MOEDELOOS! Is this ever going to end for my little girl? Seems I am forever giving her meds, no wonder she just opens her mouth willingly these days!

DH got called out last night and isn't back yet, poor man! We currently have a cyclone going, trees flying, wind hectic, rain pouring, waves taller than houses, shop carparks collapsing, every second robot lying on the ground.

DH is getting very anxious about Iz's party, and I am fart assing around. I realised I'd have to have 2 separate cakes for madam as she won't be allowed to eat from hers much. Or I'd have to have hers baked with no milk! What about the frosting then?

We'll be going to durban for some extra party supplies, as I'm getting her themed ones from PE and UK.

Dh won't be going into work today (once he comes home) so maybe we can go scout for some party venues!!!!!

Robyn, do you have a cake supply store near you? You can hire tins in different shapes,get baking tips, ready made cake mix - just add eggs type things, icing letters etc they can even print a photo of Dakota onto rice paper and you just plak it on the cake. I saw a lady hire a tin in the shape of a giant daisy. So pink icing for the petals and yellow in the middle for the pollin and some edible glitter... I am sure Dakota will be walking - full time soon then Dont forget to put some pic up!

Evan's birthday is a week and a half away! Can you believe it!!! I got some cute party packs for school now I just need to buy the goodies to go inside and bake the cupcakes.

Evan's right top tooth is showing now, a big white chunk right accross the gum, I cant feel it yet but you can definitely see it. He is in so much pain and now has the nappy rash to boot. I promise one day I will have some good news and be full of the beans of life again Sorry, feel like I am always moaning about Evan's woes..

Robyn... its not soo hard to make your own cake! Phew you can make stunning cakes, just one round cake-pan cake some icing and a little flower girl umbrella and you can make a merry go round cake. or you can use a loaf tin and make a number 1 cake... its not such a laugh!

Dakota also decided to try walking (just a few steps between DH and myself, but at least it's something - will wait til she's abit more confident before the camera comes out )

Congrats on the walking!!!!

We had a hectic weekend! The murder mystery party was such fun! The men was hilarious! They jumped right into character and boy did they play this game!!!!!! You must've seen the murder and backstabbing going on! And so serious!!!! Us girls sat at the bar and danced while this all went down .

I tried giving Iz some Easygest milk (no lactose). But that went all pearshaped. This 1st bottle went down well. But the next day when I gave her another one my child but folded double with cramps!!!! There goes that idea. Now I kinda know she's allergic to lactose and milk proteins. From here we go goats milk or rice milk as soya also contains the same proteins.

On Friday night my poor child had her first bloody mouth. I almost died of hearfailure!!!!!!!! Blood everywhere!!!!! Luckily her tooth just cut her lip. But I had an good cry afterwards, the weeks stress just finally caught up to me and I had my mini breakdown. DH felt rather bad cause he was watching her.

I went for an interview yesterday, not looking for a job. But seriously I would kill for this job!!!!! As any town we have an annual "Show/Expo". Well, this job is as part of a 2 man team organising this show and others. Sooooo my dreamjob!!!!!!!!! I would bloody pay them to do this job! Holding thumbs, toes and all other parts of my body I can cross. DH is very anxious and doesn't want me going back to work, but if you all can do it, so can I! I will be able to cope, right?????

K hasn't bitten me yet, well only once and it doesn't hurt so much as give you a bit of a fright! but she still only has two bottom teeth so as Janine says the tongue gets between

I don't have a wish list for little K, anything is good! But pls pls don't spend a lot, shame its your little ones B'day in august too so it will get just too expensive. And you just need to bring your own drinks, we are hiring a spit, and i am making a potato bake and a salad... and of course there will be birthday cake.

For the little ones i am just going to make some finger foods of some sort, still have to decise what!
