Thanks Nelria, I need all the luck I can get. I think my problem is that Im inconsistant so for a week Ill attempt sleep training and then one random day give in and rock him to sleep again. What did you do if XEn woke up during the night, just give him his dummy and go back to bed?

maybe she is talking about herself? - otherwise delete it asap?

chubby chick - full cream is perfect has alll the nutrients needed - but if u want to use longlife its also fine (same thing) - parmalat also makes a milk called 1st milk or something with added vanilla making it sweeter - but both my babes went straight from formula to cows milk (buy bulk in fruit and veg and freeze for week) - but if she does refuse then just mix with formula till u phase formula out that way taste takes gradually

tiago's mum - I am afraid sleep training is all that will work as kids develop bad habits if they get away with it - I myself got up for xen hourly until 2mnths ago - he still wakes once at 10(when i go to bed weird ne) and then at 4.30 for bottle but then sleeps till 6.30 now (lea wakes at 5 on other hand lol)

ok so what u need to do is get nerves of steel, perseverance by the bottle and no matter what push through the result is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!!!

This is what i did (u need to reboot their systems completely so): I gave Allergex(ask pharmacist for any safe drowse inducing meds if u like 2nd opinion) 3.5ml for 4 nights at bed time

absolutely no liquids at all!!!!!! until morning

so now they drowsy and if they do wake they drift of quickly enough with meds

so u put down firmly after routine then with every wake u go in calm for 2nd offer dummy, comforter, blanket etc say doedoe now - this is repeated 3 times after that u dont go in!! they will cry till asleep can last from 2-30min but u know they are dry, warm, full etc so its trying their luck

the crying and wakes get shorter every night - and the whole thing last about 3-4nights there after bliss with every now and then a set back but these get fewer and further between once they realise its not worth their effort to wake as u dont comfort or give liquids or pat etc.

u can google sleep training there is also no-cry attempt which i find painfull as it drags into weeks

then u can do without meds but also longer crying and more nights (as meds reboot so they learn longer sleeping habit from it)

but whichever u choose i wish u luck and a iron will as its super hard to resist giving in but think of longterm - believe me they get more resilient and eventually u end with a 2 yr old demanding tv, food etc in middle of night and can outlast u by hours when u need to function and not be zombie

Juandre - Larissa also uses Docs Choice and says it works. But I am still not 100% convinced. One of the reasons is cause they market Colloidal Silver in their immune booster... but if you check the WHO or even USA FDA sites they say marketing like that is illegal. As Colloidal Silver is not a health benefit! Check Wikipedia on what they say,.... its very negative...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_uses_of_silver

Just makes me think twice... better the devil you know than the one you dont...

Hi ladies,
Ok so I need to know what you moomies think.
So I am STILL batteling with Tiago to sleep and am at my wits end , last night we were up every 2 hours with him and its not just a once in a while sort of thing I wouldsay I have 2 good nights a week where he only wakes at 4am.

I've tried every remedy I can, taken him to the paed enough times to make me look like a crazy paranoid mother and hes definitely fine, he is currently on homeopathic stuff to try help him sleep better/ less restless. I dont see a huge improvement, not much at all really and hes been on it for just over 10 days.

I dont know what more to do, I have noticed that if I wake up at night from a nightmare or whatever he tends to wake up crying a few minutes later ( we dont sleep in the same room so it cant be that I wake him), is it crazy to think that maybe he senses stuff like that ? I know I sound mad but Im just not sure it happens to often to just be coinsidence.

Also another reason I thought maybe he doesnt sleep well is his "weekly " routine isnt very consistant as 3 times a week my mom looks after him , then the other 2 days my mil and when my mom works (every second week) my mil looks after him for 3 days and my aunt for 2 days. They are all very good to him and he loves going there but I thought maybe the fact that he isnt always in one place is causing this. :( Maybe it is time for creche? I have nothing against creche but just dont feel 100% comfortable with it yet.

Also maybe he is just being naughty and its time for some serious sleep training?

He isnt walking, doesnt say much just makes lots of noise and Ive noticed he doesnt like very textured food, he gags if I give him stuff that isn't a bit mushy still. I am working on getting him to eat bigger more textured food.

What do you guys think? Im seriously about to freak out with this lack of sleep

Morning ladies,

Hope you are all well.
I was advised to get these homeopath remidies called "doc's choice" to sort out MG snotty nose and it so works. Sat and Sun night I was up several times cause she was battling with her blocked nose. Last night she slept through and this morning her nose is clear!!! They have a few different sprays including a teething spray and a sleepless night spray. You just spray it into their mouths a few times a day. It is safe to use from birth. Look on this site: www.docschoice.co.za

Enjoy your day.

Morning Ladies,

Nelria what do you mean "i swear i said nothing but someone commented on there? is the cat out of the bag?" Where did you see someone comment?

I am going for my first scan next week Tuesday, I am so looking forward to it, even though I don't think we will see anything.

Nelria - I only picked up 8 kilo's with Jamie, and seeing that I am already getting bigger and showing, I am going too look like a beached whale in December!

Have a great day ladies.

Morning ladies,

I am also doing the Coryx thing. Chloé has a bad cough, but mostly when she lays down. This morning when she woke up she stood up in her cot and said pappa, mamma so I had to go pick her up since it was soooo cute.

She is getting more and more confident with the walking and manages a lot more steps, although the crawling is still a lot faster.

Have any of you tried the Pampers Premium Care Drymax nappies? They are wonderful! We put Chloé to bed with those and they have NEVER leaked. It is the white pampers packs.

Nelria - if you do cow's milk, what mild do you give? Like full cream fresh pasteurised milk? Or box milk or what? Then you give the milk as is? I know Chloé is not allergic, so must maybe try it if you can give me the answers on what and how?

Have a lovely day ladies and enjoy organizing the parties!
