Eve - I agree, Im feeling less stressed just knowing I made the decision. I just have to de-wuss myself and take the pain as it comes - so I'll have to go get some arnica and start taking that now! And some serious pain medication for home!

I'll finish packing my bags next week. I remember being really hungry afterwards so Im packing snacks snack and snacks!'
And Im not bothering with baby cloths - cos I didnt even notice that in hospital - I think I was in shock!

Juandre - glad you had a great baby shower!

Eloise - I'm also trying to not stress too much about the bag. I think we are all over packing anyway (when I tell my friends about my list, they just laugh). If we need anything or forget anything, someone will bring it to us - mom, dad, DH, friends

Thinking of you and your BP! Maybe things will be less stressful if you just let him plan the c-section and then you know what's going to happen.

I see everyone is talking about their bag for hospital! I've got mine half packed, but to be honest ladies, I was in so much pain that I didnt use any of the millions of things I packed last time, I didnt get to bath baby myself or anything, i could barely get out of bed with the c-sec!
NOT to scare anyone - I just cope really badly with operations - and wonderfully with natural
So Im going light as I have now decided to stop fighting my doc, by bp is steadily rising and Im just going to let him set me a date!

I'm such a scatter brain. I just realised that I already have small bottles of my face wash, toner and cream so I can pack those hehehehehe, silly me

Gynae said Connor is totally happy where he is and isn't planning on coming out anytime soon. There is lots of amniotic fluid and everything looks good. His head is down but not engaged, spine is on my left side and tummy on feet on my right.

He didn't tell me weight or anything and I was so pissed that I just forgot to ask.

Luckily he only wants to see me in 2 weeks again because everything looks fine.

Going to buy all last minute things this weekend and then can finally pack bags and feel ready.

Washing powder - I just bought Sunlight Baby, R37 for a box. Also going to get some Woolite - heard that's really good.

Morning Ladies,

Had our baby shower on Saturday. My SIL did such a great job and DH was included. Quite a few of the other hubbies were there as well as my two brothers so we had a good laugh.
We got lots and lots of clothes and toiletries. Now we just have to get the practical things like receiving blackets, dummies, grooming set etc.

Lucy- your pictures are awesome. We had our photo shoot yesterday, will get our pictures next week.

Sal- I am using Sunlight Baby and Sta Soft Baby both can be purchased from any grocery store. But I hear that Makro sell the Sunlight baby at about R10 cheaper than anywhere else.

Looks like ill be taking clothes That was my original plan but everyone was saying how nice the clothes are.

Okay, so my gynae waltzes in here, over an hour late, and his excuse is that he lost his gold cap tooth and had to go to the dentist. I mean seriously!!

eve u have to ask your hospital if they supply - I have only ever heard lucy mention it so maybe its that hospital or some hospitals but its definately not standard (atleast not here in gauteng)

I mean for me its kind like i wear my own stuff when i go to hospital so why not my child - yes it gets washed but it is still worn by one and all so i just prefer taking own personals
