Morning all!!!!

Eve! dont do the express thing to check boobies lol..... i heard that stimulating your nipples can bring on labour and some woman actually do this towards the end to bring it on - so be careful!!!

Clothes - i was also going to use hospital clothes and then a going home outfit (his superman baby grow! he heh e)

Nelria - i heard you can have powerade and energade but NOT lucozade

Snacks - i packed in peanuts and raisons, energade jelly sweets, banana chips (just because i like them) some all sorts for daddy (hee he he its his favourite) and a bottle of energade.

oooooo i found the most AWESOME product at dischem okay well i think it is.... basically you know we have to sterilise everything WELL they have this ziplock bags, so if you go out or away basically you put yiour bottles and dummies in the bag put in 150ml water close bag and in microwave for 3 minutes and ALL sterlised? I thought how handy is that if you visitng or will be away from home for a long time... you can use the bag about 40 times and there was three bags in the pack for like R30 or something - brilliant!

Zeltjie - welcome! my cousin had twins and i was thinking the other day how i was waddling and trying to get comefortable at home how the hang she did it! good luck with it all

Sal - yes i bought baby powder and softener from pick n pay

Oh eve - i was at dischem and they had travel size shampoo and conditioners so i bought a small shampoo and conditioner to put in my bag, i bought a tiny toothbrush and also i had a sample size body wash so all those things are in. I am also leaving a list on top of my bag for the last minute stuff!

Nelria - so I have to take clothes for baby anyway, goodness me

Gynae - I am seriously so pissed with my gynae. I'm his 2nd appointment for this morning, 8:30, and he isn't even here yet. No wonder we always wait an hour to see him! Its ridiculous!

Won't use him for next baby, that's for sure.

sal - u get baby fabric softener and washing powder just walk the isles of any supermarket its usually white box

eve - I am with mediclininc so they dont suppply baby stuff so am taking my own

also re bag - samples sound great plan or get miniature shampoo etc and leave in - i take tothbrush on way out (new one is beter plan though)

zeltjie - wow they are big at 32 well done - I am having a boy and he was only 2kg at 34 wks so stressing little bit about that still

lucy - how is maternity leave?

re snacks - the cereal bars with choc is great give energy plus fill up when u go in middle of night and wait till morning u get pretty hungry and plus my epidural stayed in for like 3 hrs so then no pain and eating is something to do - so i packed jelly sweets too

ladies what energy drink are we suppose to take? and which one avoid? (someone heard at antenatal?)

Ladies, pls tell me what washing powder I need to use to wash the newborn cloths in for the 1st time. I found a setting on our washing machine thats handwash and for babies clothing so luckily I dont have to hand wash everything but what washing powder do I use? I read somewhere that you shouldnt use fabric softer also, is this correct?

Lucy - those are beautiful pictures.

Eve - I think you should keep the face things for the last minute, unless you buy little containers and put a little of each in them. I also use my face stuff everyday, eg cream, lotion, toner, but what I did before hand was phone or e-mail each manufacturer and asked for samples. All of them gave me samples in tiny containers or sachets and I am bringing that with me.
Snacks - I am not sure, I was in to much pai to snack on anything. But this time, I will bring Jelly Tots, Liquid Fruit.

Thanks! I've been leaking colostrum since about 22weeks, luckily a padded bra helped absorb it, it was so little. Hardly enough to warrent the use of breastbads. But now that bra won't cover the whole boob anymore and the nipples end up leaving wet spots! Thank goodness for those cheapy one piece bra's that you get from Mr Price! I just slip the breastpads in and there's no underwire to get squished between the belly and boobs!

Welcome Zeltjie - so exciting to be having twins - and a pigeon pair as well

Lactating - so ladies, I've finally started lactating eheehehhe. It was so funny. I was sitting on the loo and was wondering why my pj top was a bit wet - thought maybe I messed my tea. I then jumped up and ran to DH and he confirmed that the spot was right by my right nipple. He told me to get out the breast pump and test it. I was a bit skeptical because I wasn't sure if you're only supposed to use that once you have baby. Anyway, I put it on, just to see what it's like and ouchie - it's not nice, so not sure if I'll be using it eheheheh

Anyway, so now I have to start wearing breast pads.
