Hi Ladies,

Wow a lot of catching up to do!.

I have stopped the pill, so trying for no 2. (took us 9 years to conceive A, so lets hope it doesn't take that long this time around).

A will turn 1 year on the 21st of May, having a very low key Winnie the Pooh party @ home.

She eats all our food. Still hates juice and rooibos tea. Only drinks water and milk. She has +/- 700ml milk a day.

She sleeps on her own as long as she has her pillow, she sleeps. Sleeps between 7h00 - 8h00 at night and wakes up between 6:00 - 7:00 next morning.

She still only has 2 toothy.

Ladies are any of you doing the optional 1 year vaccination??? Also when do babies stop take the dummy / pacifier???

Chat soon

PS: I'm gona give the NAN 3 a try.

Miracle Baby Girl born via c/section on the 21 May 2010 after trying for a very long 9 years

Gaynor - Wow Ethan is truly a miracle baby. So advanced in everything and growing so beautifully! Well done!

Sal - congrats on Shane - holding thumbs for you that he wins!!!

Victo - shame I used to rock London all the time. He really just decided to stop and fall asleep on his own. Don't know what it was that changed.... but am ever so thankful!

Missy - congrats on the 1st steps whoohoo!

Tiagosmon - well done on not rocking!

Well since London turned 11 months he has decided he only wants 1 sleep a day - but get this ... it's only for 1 hour! I dont know how he survives but he is hardly cranky and then sleeps like the dead at night!
If he doesn't fall asleep on the bottle then he points to the cot after drinking 7pm bottle, grabs his taglet and then goes to sleep on his own. It is a struggle in the day though if we try and force him to sleep... so we leave him and he
has the signs and falls asleep on own at about 11h30 to 12h30.

07h00 Wake / Bottle
08h30 Breakast
10h30 Snack
11h30 Sleep
12h30 Lunch
14h30 Snack
17h00 Supper
18h30 Bath / Bottle
19h00 Sleep

He has also taken a few steps - but seems very unsure of himself and hasnt tried again too often. Walks easily with us with one hand though. And if you ask him how old he is, he will put up 1 finger and say "NUN" in a Donald Duck Voice! Too funny!

Hey Victo,

No man you're not a bad mommy at all. Mine also tries to climb out the cot but he doesnt have very long legs so doesnt get far. Its quite funny to watch.

I think the sleep training thing is a very personal thing, if you are ok with rocking him then thats ok but I was just at my wits end with this rocking story and realised when he falls asleep at his grannies he doesnt get rocked and is fine. You have to be ready.
Tiago also fought me the first few nights where I had to hold him down so he wouldnt just keep getting up and patt his bum just so he could relax but what works for one person might now work for the next. Just dont sit and talk to him and make eye contact when holding him down.

You not a bad mom though so dont be hard on yourself.

Morning Moomies,

so yesterday I tried the sleep on his own training, at 20h00 I went put on his cot, switch off the lights and closed the door slowly.

he started crying for attention, I ignored him, he cried and cried and cried :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
until I cannot ingore him anymore when I opened the dooer and switched on the lights he was standing in his cot with one leg inside the cot and one outside the cot, he was trying to climb out.

I was so scared, if I had went in a minute late I would have found him on the floor.
I cried and blamed myself for being a bad mother.
and DH just made it worse by trying to preach, telling me that I must stop listining to people and just rock him to sleep until until until!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

so I almost had a bad night

Tiagosmom you are so lucky,

Okay ladies what to do next?????? ;) :( :(
