Six-week jabs? I thought the next ones were at eight weeks. Don't tell me we've missed them...

Claudia_B, we don't have a baby monitor. Our house isn't that big and believe me, it's really difficult to not hear a screaming baby. But if I was going to get a baby monitor it would be a movement one too, because I keep going into the nursery to check that she's still breathing. You said James was very low risk? How do you know if your baby's at risk of cot death?

Hi everyone

I hope you are all having a good morning so far!

@Claudia_ we have been using angelcare, and it works really well... our LG has been in her own room since we got home from the hospital, so I have the movement monitor as well (I was very paranoid the first 2 nights... hehehe) :silly:

Karla is doing a little bit better, seems as though the Bennets colic mixture is really working, but I don't want to give her too much of it... If it goes better I am going to stop giving it to her... Her nose is so blocked, so we are giving her tissue salts that helps with the blocked nose, also works wonders!!!

I am going to try the bottle again tonight... but this time only about 40ml, to ease her into it... I heard somewhere that you must first let her drink on the boob for a while and then give the bottle... We'll just have to wait and see... I really hope she takes it!

You must have a great day ladies

Ciao

Hi ladies

i've had a rather long day since lili work up this morning she's been on my breast. I'm thinking its 6week growth spurt. She sleeps 4 an hour then feeds 4 what seems like forever! So tired cant wait to sleep! Taking her 4 her 6weeks immunization on wednesday, very nervous about that!

Night night!

Hey all. Spent the day watching comrades because my sister was running and it seems to have tired James out because he is sleeping like an angel. I've decided that I am going to run 2 oceans next year and starting next week I am getting off my lazy post preggy butt and hitting the gym again( I'm fitting into my prepregnancy clothes, but just a little too snuggly for my liking. Havent weighed myself in ages but reckon I'm still about 3-4kgs heavier than I was)

Who here has a baby monitor? I'm thinking of getting a sound only one because I've decided that James is going o go into his nursery after his six weeks jabs, but I'm concerned about whether I will hear him at night? I'm not overly oncerned about cot death (he is very low risk) so i dont feel the movement one is neccesary. What do you all think? What brand?

Des Des please dont introduce solids before MINIMUM 4 months, preferably 5 months.

A baby's stomach is not fully developed to digest the food properly and GENERALLY these babies that are introduced too early will land up with multiple food allergies

Des Des, the paediatrician told us not to start introducing solids until 5-and-a-half to six months. Apparently their digestive systems can't handle anything sooner.

If you have enough milk there shouldn't be a reason why she doesn't get full.

Maybe it's wind or cramps? We had the same problem at around that age and eventually took our daughter to a chiropractor, which seemed to help.
