Glad Emily's 6 week checkup went well and that she is growing so nicely! I hope the vomiting was just a once off thing and that it subsides quickly. Is it projectile? Sometimes wind can bring up a fair amount.

Nicky - I agree that all the baby lotions are supposed to be suitable for the face. I use Epimax for her face and body. My son had a super sensitive skin and anything scented irritated him so now with Lia I'm just using aqueous (unscented) to bath her skin and then creaming with Epimax after. I was using top to toe followed by aqueous but she was getting so dry from it so I switched. I'll go onto the perfumed stuff again in a few months from now (but probably stick to the Epimax).

I'm lucky if Lia takes her dummy once a day for 5 minutes or twice... so it definitely won't be replaced any time soon and I don't even sterilize it - I just wash it under hot water. I have some of those Sterilon sachets or whatever somewhere.. so maybe I should use it, lol.

@Bundle - I also haven't changed my dummies after a month, but what I do is, I have two and alternate between them - I also use the sterilon liquid to pop them in and sterlize them every now and then, and overnight I leave them in there cause he doesn't use his dummy after bedtime - so glad someone else is also doing the same as me, he he, its amazing how many similar things we all do hey?

@Mommy21 - girl its not easy being alone, glad this is your mans last month away!! We have to be such strong women to get through these things!

I had a fab visit at my moms and Connor is now sleeping!

@ScribblingAl - I bought the womb to world cd and played it in the car, It seemed to really settle C into a slumber of note - so, snap for the hint!!

Thank you, thank you ladies for your advice on the formula, I love this forum!! I also asked my cousin and her paed recommended S26 GOLD and I'm so glad to hear that alot of you use it so now I know I can use that if I have to resort to it. Have your LO's gotten constipated from it? Is there any side effects from using formula that I should be aware of?

Mommy21 - YAY awesome news that Lili is going well. I was the one that asked what her name was and it has such a beautiful meaning!! She has settled into a great routine. you can put the dummies in the microwave sterilizer, I use the sterilon dummy sterilizer, its a cup that you place the sterilizing solution in and you place the dummy in there for at least 10 minutes and its done. The solution can be kept for a week in the cup so I just keep popping the dummies in there, very handy. But the microwave one will work just as well. They recommend you change dummies after a month, but I have ignored that I will change it when I see its worn or has a hole in it, else it will be expensive to replace every month.

Good afternoon ladies!

My lg is doing much better she hasn't had any suspicious movements. The massage seems to b working as i do it @ home also now! She now has cramps/winds nd the only thing that works is the bennets colic mixture but it got finished in the evening nd last night she battled was up from abt 3 till 7this morning! Note to self stock up on the colic mixture!

A few posts back some1 asked what my daughters name was her name is likamva it means she's our future. We call her lili for short!

So i've started expressing nd its not going too badly. Lili now has one feed in the bottle! I've also started using probiotics hoping they'll help her tummy!

@des sorry about your hubby being away kinda know how u feel. My fiance nd i live apart, he lives in the eastern cape nd i'm in jhb! So i'm kinda like a single parent doing everything myself nd never having help! But good news its his last month there:-)

about the sterilizing do you also put the dummy in the microwave sterilizer? I have the avent 1. Nd how often must you change dummy's?

I'll be starting lili on formula a week before i go back to work nd i was gonna give her isomil as all the babies in my family used it but think i'll give S26 gold a try!

Oh lili is settling into a routine. She sleeps 6 hours straight after her bath @ 6 nd wakes up after 12 sometimes after 1. She then sleeps for 4 hours. Then from about 6 she's back on her 2.5-3hour stretch.

nicky dont worry about it my LB is suposed to drink 175ml at the moment but cant finish his 150 so i am leaving him until he asks for more. the dilution stays the same!
