Hi ladies

What a week... Our internet is of so much in the day... Telkom really annoys me...

Karla has had a bad week, crying a lot... thinks she's got a little bit of reflux and the paediatrician says she has mild colic... We took her to the chiropractor today and he said that he can feel that her neck and upper back got a little bit hurt when they took her out with the forceps... shame my poor baby... I am giving her rescue remedy 3 times a day, to make her a little more calm! Hopefully this weekend will be better

I am so glad about the woolite special... will go tomorrow! I love the smell of woolite, I'll rather pay a bit more and have her clothes smell like heaven... Hubby says he wishes his clothes could smell like that, hahaha!!!

I stopped with the bottle, as she only drank 30ml that one time and screamed the whole time, she also didn't sleep well that night! Will try again in the afternoon this weekend!

I just wrote the longest post and as I was trying to submit it dissappeared! I'm so cross! too lazy to write that essay again.

Hope eveyone is doing well. Sorry to all moms with colicky babies. How did u know it was true colic? was it diagnosed? someone told us to see a chiropractor cos Elam was being very fussy and not sleeping AT ALL during the day (but sleeping at night- WHICH IS GREAT!!!)

The nanny's at home put her to sleep on her tummy today and she slept so peacefully (she normally squirms and moans in her sleep- maybe from the winds/cramps) I know sleeping on the tummy is supposed to be dangerous. Has anyone tried it? Does baby sleep longer/ better? I only let them do that cos I was watching her the whole time.

Anyway, miss chatting. not connected whilst on leave. using my mom's 3G.

Sooooo keen to get back to Jhb and to my own house. Being home and having my mom help me with the baby is great but it's been over a month now and I miss being in my own space...

I havent used the sunlight baby powder so I'm not sure. Woolite smells very nice.

Hi Ladies, the woolite special is on again, so those of you that use it you better get down to a Checkers Hyper FAST, I saw it advertised in the leaflet this morning for Cape Town Stores but I'm sure it will be across the country.

We're using Nan Hyperallergenic for Emily. It was recommended by a paed because of the colic, but I don't think she needs to be on it any more. In the beginning she was on S26 but then when she started getting so colicky I thought she may be lactose intolerant (I was a vegan for many years and then during my pregnancy I started having a bit of cheese etc) so we switched to Isomil but that made it worse and now we're sticking to the Nan HA. But I think formulas nowadays are much of a muchness.

Dummies, hmm. I think they tell you to change them every month so they can make more money. I also don't sterilise the dummy everytime we use it - just pour some boiling water on it, and that's it, I'm afraid... I don't think I could wait 10 mins for it to be sterilised Bundle of Joy. She screams too much Maybe I should get the liquid stuff.

Desiree, glad the CD's working. Sometimes when she's in that screaming mode and I put it on it shuts her up instantly.

Jacadebra, the vomiting seems to have changed to possetting, so I'm hoping it stays that way. I think it's the wind or maybe just the feeding (she does it after breast and bottlefeeding). Either way, we're going through a shipload of bibs and towelling nappies and tissues.

PS I got a free ticket for Baba Indaba Midrand - I didn't even know they were having one until I received it. I think the Baby Expo is always better than the Baba Indaba's but we may just pop in this weekend anyway.
