Desiree, I feel very depro when I go off the Eglonyl. It's one of the reasons why I'm so reluctant to take them. My gynae did stress that they're very mild and aren't supposed to be addictive. But I'm feeling a lot better now that I haven't had them for a while.

Emily's not doing as much tummy time as she should be. Went for her 4-month jabs today. They're out of Rotarix, so we'll have to go back after four weeks. With a bit of luck they'll have in stock before she gets too old to have it (6 months). The clinic woman said she should be a bit stronger in her shoulders and back, although her neck is pretty strong and she's pushing up to stand. She said we can start her in the Bumbo seat. So I'll try that once she's over the jab and not feeling so sorry for herself. And we'll be doing more tummy time from now on. Desiree, she's also only on a few mins at a time before she starts getting frustrated.

Meags, try not to let the weight gain upset you. I know it's easier said than done, but the weight really does have a purpose. And you will lose it afterwards (although it does take some time if you're a lazy bum like someone I know). I agree with Desiree about the triplets' mom - you need to focus on your baby now, not someone else's. If she's a decent person she'll understand - she is a mom, after all. I think from 6 weeks you can see a heartbeat, so holding thumbs for you! Keep us posted!! I can see a few of us are hankering after our own preggy bellies.

Beansmom, not going back to work doesn't sound like such a bad idea. At least you get some extra time with Tayla. They're so cute at this point that it's such a shame to have to go back to work and leave them with somebody else.

Hi ladies - just a quick question for all the ladies on Eglynol - I have now successfully weaned myself off of the tablets, but did go through a period of depression...mild, but still!! I wanted to find out how you all do when you don't take the tabs everyday? does it affect your mood at all?

Also - about tummy time, the creche does Tummy time with Connor everyday, and on weekends I try to make a point of putting him on his tummy, he only tolerates it for a few minutes at a time...and I dont stress about it at all, what will be will be! His neck is very strong though, and he sits very well with support from me... and he can even manage sitting alone for a few seconds at a time, he he...brief seconds at that, but still....its there! I even snapped a piccie of him sitting un-supported - he leans forward to balance his body..and just sits there, lol, its too cute! Im not paying too much attention to milestones, etc - Im just going with what he can do at any given time - I've heard too many moms comparing their babies to each other and then getting stressed because their baby cant sit but the other baby can, etc, etc - geeze, these are our babies - they're not little machines we can program.

@Meags - Just be upfront with the triplets mommy, tell her you're not up to the job right now & that you really need to just focus on your own pregnancy and look after yourself...Im sure she will be able to find someone else to help look after her babies??

@Beansmom - sorry about the retrenchment - awful timing indeed! I hope your own venture takes off for you - good luck & keep us posted!

@Scribbling - good luck to starting work again, at least its from home though - but, I guess you will still need a nanny hey? how long will you be working at home from?

My beautiful baby boy, Connor Troy, was born on 20 March 2010 and my 2nd gorgeous boy, Cullen Reece, was born on 2 September 2011 - I am very blessed indeed

@ Scribblingal ~ I am not going back to work - not by choice but because my company has gone into liquidation and have retrenched me... not the best news to get in your last month of maternity leave. So I've started my own thing up and HOPING it takes off enough to cover bills... So to answer the question of am I ok.. a little on the overstressed side... and I think little one is feeling it!

I'm doing the same thing with the Eglonyl - I take it when I think the milk is a little low...

I am going to see how tomorrow and Thursday goes. Perhaps it was just so awful as it was my first morning being forced to wake up early.
If by Thursday it's not better, I may tell her a little lie (bad I know...but I feel bad enough not helping her!!) and say that gynae has recommended I rest due to cramps.

I am also just counting days. I need to see the heart beat on thursday. That will be the first obstacle over. I am SO hoping they put me a week further than what I think I am! Just so it's 1 week closer to 12 weeks. I will be so relieved when I'm past 14 weeks I think :)
my hcg levels are extremelly high and at 4 weeks 4 days they picked up the sac on ultrasound which you can usually only see from 5 weeks so ya...hoping I'm just a bit further!!

I am SO hungry. But ridiculously hungry. I eat, and 2 hours later I am so hungry, I am shaking and feel weak. This cant be normal??

I was also so offended today as the triplet's domestic looked at me and said "you're getting too fat again". I looked at her and said "I'm pregnant..."

Needless to say, I feel so fat and her comment did not help!!!

Meags, my advice is to be honest with the triplets' mom. The last thing you need to do is strain yourself - and these first 12 weeks are critical. I didn't find pregnancy easy either. I spent most of it paranoid and counting down the magical marks (12 weeks, 24 weeks, 33 weeks) and I feel like I was wishing it away and didn't appreciate my pregnancy enough, and now I miss it!!! So take it easy and enjoy being pregnant. It goes by so quickly. And Baby should be your priority now.

Ha ha Desiree as for the vomiting... Was in the bank this afternoon and I was holding Emily and got up off the chair and... bleugh... madam vomited all over the floor. She's also still spitting up a lot - after being on the boob, after being on the bottle... But the good news is that the umbilical hernia's gone down a lot! As for the teething, she's waking up a lot during the night (2am, 5am) and is a bit niggly. Apparently it can take months before the first tooth emerges.

I start working again on the 12th from home. Not looking forward to it. Still haven't done anything about a nanny...

Bronz, Emily also doesn't like tummy time and we're not doing it half as much as we should be!

wow Des 19 weeks ALREADY????
Cant believe how fast time has gone by!!!!!

I am ok...started back at the triplets today and honestly I did not cope well!!
Have to sit on the floor playing with them which has KILLED my back, got cramps in my tummy and I am EXHAUSTED. I feel like such a wuss :) didnt know pregnancy could be so difficult!!
I am not sure if I'll cope another 4 weeks working there :( I actually dont want to because I feel AWFUL since getting home.
But I dont know how to tell the mom that I just cant cope with it at the moment?

I am going for my first scan on Thursday so will see exactly how far I am.
But I estimate around 6 weeks

Hi girls!!

Sjoe feels like a while since I've chatted. Glad to see you are all keeping well.

Things @ work have been crazy buzy, hence my lack of chatting...I've been reading the posts though, just havent found time to actually post myself!!

I was also on Eglynol - and its only in the last month that I weaned myself off it .. and I think I gained some extra weight being on it, which Im now furiously trying to get rid of - sjoe, it hasn't been easy!! I also found that the first little while off the eglynol I was quite sad/depressed....hmm...but it seems to have abated for now!

@Bronz - been looking at your pics of Graeme on facebook, he's looking sooo cute man, well done mommy!!

@Scribbling - also been looking at your holiday piccies on facebook, gorgeous pics and I cant belieive how much little Emily has grown since I saw her at my house at that first get together we had....shes soooooo pretty!! and you say she may be teething? sjoe....little madame, how cute...is she extra niggly now? Connor also has his hands permanently in his mouth & the spit is EVERYWHERE....is Emily still throwing up? Connor is still doing it, Im so sick of always having to cover his cute outfits up with a bib...if it was one thing Id change if I could, it would be the spitting up, its not nice or fun!!

@Pinky - I've heard of the teething necklace but dont know too much about it, was wondering about whether it worked...how it worked, etc? does anyone else know anything about it?

@Claudia - How are things now that you are seeing patients again? have you already started? I'm still waiting for my BLW book - Kalahari hasnt received my stock yet and I placed my order on the 8th July already - boohoo!!

Are the rest of you all still on maternity leave? when do you go back to work?

@Meags - how are you doing preggie lady?

Connor is still doing well - he is now 19 weeks and doing very well - he's a busy little man, but very sociable now, its too cute! He seems to be growing so quickly now, sjoe!

Sorry if I've missed anyone - will catch up with you all again!!
