Good morning Ladies.

Hope all of you had a great weekend.

pinky I have heard of it. Some moms swear by it. Apparently you leave it on full time. Don't know how it works exactly. I am keen to try one.

Mrs S H I also started out in the jungle juice, but now I just drink a vitamin water.

After us fighting with Graeme and the bottle again, we bought the TT bottles and he seems to have taken them, but we still have to put gripe water on the teet.

Thanks for the info ScribblingAl. He does not really like tummy time, so I have been pushing up the time he is on his tummy as long as he wil tolerate it.

I have also noticed that alot of people are on Eglonyl. My SIL was just put on it as her milk hadn't come in. But I personally think it hadn't come in as she was giving baby a dummy and a bottle of formula.

Pinky I haven't heard of that. What is it? Emily's started the dreaded teething mission. Fingers in the mouth, spit everywhere, little blister on her gum. Shame man, I hope this tooth makes its appearance soon!

Beansmom, it's amazing how many of us have been put on Eglonyl. I keep taking myself off it because I'm terrified of it and then pop one or two if I feel like my milk production is really low, for example if Emily's not taking to the boob, as I think it works really quickly as far as the milk production goes. As far as the depression goes, I think it affected me more when I came off it than when I was on it. Are you ok? When do you go back to work?

The weight gain wasn't something I had connected to the Eglonyl, but now that you mention it I did gain weight. Actually, I thought I was retaining water as my face was really puffy, which didn't help the depression, which didn't help the milk, ;)

Seriously though, I discussed it with my doc on more than one occasion. As far as she was concerned, it is a very mild antidepressant and not harmful to baby. I initially was taking one in the morning and the evening, and then was supposed to wean myself off them, but I have a whole bottle of the things because I just pop them now and again. But I'm not exclusively breastfeeding, so it's not a train smash if I don't have enough milk every feed as I top up with a bottle any way.

@beansmom, I was actually wondering about the sterilization of the containers not the reheating... is it safe if it is not bpa free?

Question ladies: Have you heard of the amber teething necklace? does anyone know if and how it works?

@beansmom you are right, you cant defrost breastmilk in the microwave 9which is a pain in the butt, because the hot water way seems to take a lifetime. I find though that it works out cheaper to buy the cheap bpa free bottles from checkers, because then you can sterilise and reuse to freeze the next lot of milk as opposed to throwing them out. Even the ziplock bags get expensive afte a while:)

@ Pinky - I don't put the containers into the micro to defrost or heat - only to steralise. I was told that you can't defrost breastmilk in the micro?? So I just take out a tub when needed and pop into warm water and it defrosts in max 30 mins...
