Newborn and baby advice

Hi girls,

It feels as if its been ages since I've posted - have missed you all! Glad to see everyone is doing well though!

I've been trying to keep up with all the posts, but its difficult to mention everyone by name so I'm just going to say a "general" hello for now and will then start personal replies tomorrow, he he *HUGS TO ALL OF YOU*

Soo...I'm officially back at work as of today - yip, I've been on maternity leave for 4 months already! I started taking Connor to the creche last week already, just for a few hours a day so that today wouldn't be as hard...and it helped, Im already used to doing it and I know that Connor has already fitted into the new routine pretty well. Anyway, I hope to be posting more regularly now that Im back at work, cause I will have much more internet time - yay4me!!

Please let me know how all your babas are doing - I'm so bummed I missed the JHB Meet, I'd love to be at the next one...but, now that Im at work, it will be difficult during the week!

Hey ladies. Well last week was the first time I left James with anyone else and I went to the holland slovakia game. I def had a bit of separation anxiety, so I guess its a good thing I dont have a full tiem job to go back to:) The worst was that I missed two feeds, so my breasts became sooo engorged again that it was painful. I was sitting in the stands trying to express a little milk into my breast pads to give me a bit of comfort!! Actually phoned my mom when we were leaving and told her not to feed James the last bottle of expressed milk if he woke up, but rather try hold him out for me to get home:)

Excitingly my hubby and I also have tickets to Wednesdays semi final of germany vs spain, so I am soooooo looking forward to that one!

I've finally also taken the plunge and put james into his own room. Its a bt heartbreaking, but he had to move sometime:) I know he is little, but I had issues bein intimate with my hubby while he was in the room, and my poor hubby has been feeling like hes been on a drought:)

Hey ladies.

Well I am back in CT. We had a good flight, even had a pilot give up his seat to give me extra room for G.

Was great to meet up with some of you again, must do one down here too.

Yesterday G was out of sorts. Feeding every hour, well not full feeds but thats what comforted him and barely any naps. Then last night hubby put one of those airline pillows (those neck ones) in G's cot and propped G in it, I guess it feels more secure for him and he slept from 7 till 2. It was great.

We bought a bouncer (those baby chair thingies) today. Any one know how long you can have them in there before they become over stimulated? And how often to rotate the toys?

Meags: She was not so keen on the idea. Sorry.

Pinky: By now its congrats on the Baptism. Did it go well? You must post a pic for us of Karla in the dress.

It hasn't happened again - thankfully - but just watching her carefully. Hubby checks up on her breathing every 30 mins at night now

I'm wondering if Monday/Tuesday's issues weren't just a growth spurt... She has been a lot more pleasant since Wednesday and even slept through her 11pm feed last night and only woke up at 1am for her next feed.. so I had a little break...

Anyway - hubby and I are off to the Germany game at CT stadium tomorrow afternoon - soooo looking forward to it... As much as i love little Tayla - i really think the two of us need a little time alone... and Granny LOVES babysitting!!!

Zulu do you have those breastfeeding pillows? The c shaped ones? Why dont you use that under her arms when you put her on her tummy?then when she's on her tummy you must also lay down on your tummy so that u face each other and try distract her that should help i hope! Do it 4 a few minutes @ a time!

Ladies i've given up, the tummy time with LO, she screams blue murder, um worried as we have to train her to sit soon.
