Maybe the reason you will have to pay a shortfall to the doctor for delivery is because he is charging you so little for consultations and he has to make up for it elsewhere.

Besides Discovery should be able to cover all hospital expenses related to the birth. and all doctors on the Network have agreed on a certain amount with the Scheme. Quite surprised that he is on the network even though his prices are above those of Dicovery

Otherwise I choose another Dr on the Network that works at Brenthurst like Dr Ismail.

Unless you can afford to pay the Doctor the difference. That would be great. He really sounded knowledgeable.

GML - Yes he told me to listen. Well i just called his offices to confirm this. Apparently he does not consult @Brenthurst Clinic but only does procedures eg: Deliveries. I dont see myself koLesedi

Well i paid R350 for my last visit and will be paying R100 for my next. But then there is an amount i will need to pay Dr M for the delivery which is the difference between what discovery pays and what he charges even though he is on Discovery network

Last night on Kaya FM, they were talking to Dr Malebane and they mentioned that he works at Lesedi and Parklane. They made no mention of Brenthurst.

Are you sure he also works there?

I'm also on Key care plus.

I will pay the R500 for my consultations and I will choose which ones I will get Discovery to pay for. I have made peace with that.

@ntoko i'm on the comprehensive saver. I haven't had a problem with discovery yet. My dr is on the discovery network so they paid him straight nd in full. So no i didn't have 2 pay anything!

Which option u on? I checked my claim history my hospital bill came 2 R15000 roughly!
